Saint Lo is in a very central location of Calvados so making it easy to get to lots of other places such as Bayeux, Coutances, Avranches, Agon-Coutainville and Mont St Michel. The town itself has everything you need for a town break, museums, churches, history, good restaurants and lots of shops. They seem to have many shoe shops.katherineUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
St Lo is a large town with attractions like the Notre Dame.
St Lo is a large town with attractions like the Notre Dame. Many shops and supermarkets with a fantastic park which was opposite our apartment. Good location for visiting the coast, Arromanches and Bayeus. Unfortunately, we only found one restaurant open on the Sunday which was full so be prepared.

It sets a good example how to include sustainability at a hotel. Food that needed to be wrapped up for hygienic reasons had been wrapped up, others not. Cleverly solved! The breakfast area was clean and tidy and a nice place to stay.

I have stayed at this Mercure hotel on previous cycling tours because it is centrally located. The other advantage of staying here is that the bicycles can be securely locked away in a basement room in the hotel.
