Wish we stayed here longer! The leaf cabins are really nice and cosy. There was even a welcome package with some helpful items. Reception was welcoming and friendly. A convenient mini-store just by the reception to buy snacks, bread or other necessities. Great location just by the river. Easy parking too just by the cabin!

Everything. In summer, when the site is full of campers, the view from the cabin would be obscured by tents. But, end of September, when we visited, our view was green lawns sloping down to the river. Lovely.

Great place for walking and tranquillity. There is a river to jump in if it gets too warm, hills to climb and explore the forests. Be sure to take something to eat with you if you do not have a car, as it might be hard to find a cafe or a restaurant.

Small but lovely. great walks of all levels. So much history: castles and museums everywhere! Wonderfully relaxing. so peaceful and quiet. Laid-back and undemanding. Great for all ages and all energy levels. For the less energetic, a car is absolutely necessary to reach the local villages and towns, although there is a train station and a local bus nearby (which we did not try this time). Hikers and cyclists would enjoy the region, but need to be strong! We went out every day, and usually ate elsewhere. But great food is available at the hotel itself, and we enjoyed several meals there. To be recommended.

We enjoyed our short stay at the Hotel Dirbach.
We enjoyed our short stay at the Hotel Dirbach. Our pet Boston Terrier was welcome at the hotel, so that made it easier for us to travel. It was a busy time on the holiday weekend but the friendly staff still made time for us, and even helped recommend a scenic hike to nearby Bourscheid Castle. This can be done directly from the hotel, so that was great and was a perfect escape from city life for the weekend.glennNetherlands

So we could relax on our own balcony to have a drink and enjoy the view . We had a huge bathroom - very clean and efficient . The hotel is in the middle of the river with a fantastic view. Easy to park close to the hotel - Nice outside terras where you can relax. From there you can make lots of trips to nice places along the river sure. Breakfast was ok. Nice staff !

The terrace is next to the river and I spent a very relaxing evening there just reading a book with a babbling waterfall for background noise.
