It is so easy going in Bowness we try to come here as often as we can. There’s something to do for everyone young and old. We have a dog now and he’s so relaxed here many places are dog friendly. Bars and restaurants brilliant especially Italians on the Main Street. Our favourite place can’t wait to come back

I liked the Beatrix Potter museum, Holehird Gardens, and Stagshaw gardens, Hayes garden centre up in Ambleside. Booked an amazing day trip with Mountain Goat tours that took us around ten Lakes of the Lake District with our amazing guide Mark Shipley. the restaurants I went to was Francine's up in Windermere, Urban Food House (superb) and the Magic Roundabout. I was within walking distance of everything in Bowness. I probably would avoid booking in the school holidays, was very busy everywhere. the weather was very changeable but it is the wettest area of Great Britain.

Lots of shops, pubs, restaurants etc.
Lots of shops, pubs, restaurants etc. Can take a boat trip on the lake around the islands or go to Ambleside. Nice place. Beware it can be hilly if you have mobility issues. Overall nice place to visit.

Visiting Bowness in November was a great idea.
Visiting Bowness in November was a great idea. I have been in the summer before and it is so busy it is unpleasant and parking is difficult. I would advise visitors to choose a hotel with private parking - preferably free, some charge for parking - leave a car there and walk to town or to the lakeside. Also be aware that Bowness is built on a steep hill and not all roads have pavements.

The town and area around Bowness are beautiful.
The town and area around Bowness are beautiful. We were able to walk and visit an amazing Arts and Crafts house and then see a very undeveloped part of the lake shore on foot. The ferry across the lake was nearby and the walk to Hill Top to see Beatrix Potter's house was beautiful and well signed. We had good meals in a pub and bistro near to Fairfield House so not needing to use the car made the location great for us.

Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. We had a garden view room, just of the main reception, with part view of the lake and jetty area. It was my wife's birthday during our stay and a welcoming Happy Birthday card was waiting for her on our arrival. We were delighted with the room and all its facilities. Only slight disappointment was we did not eat dinner in the restaurant due to the current Covid on going restrictions. That said we will certainly be revisiting The Belsfield Hotel again.
Kidsty pike is a beautiful apartment as it had all the mod cons you expect in an apartment and we would definitely go back. It has the town centre of bowness on windermere right on the door step. It's was lovely and clean and to be honest I can't fault this apartment in any way as its beautiful like I siad. It is a little bit hard to find but once we found the apartment, car park there to park your car. 😊
The pool and spa was really nice, this part had good facilities and was a decent size although was very busy at one time. The bed was really comfy and huge, but they said they’d gave us a free room upgrade to a bigger one so maybe in the ‘snug’ room the bed would have been smaller. Staff overall helpful. Location to Bowness on Windermere good at less than a 10 minute walk.
The location was spectacular, very quiet yet only minutes walking distance from the lake and shops etc... So much choice for food and entertainment. We chose to eat out rather than have breakfast at the hotel, this was only because we were up and out. We are already thinking of staying again next year! Loved the place.
This clean apartment is located in a superb location in Bowness on Windermere. We especially like the extra firmness of the mattress (the usual soft mattress of BnB or hotel hurts my back), which is very comfortable! The owner has provided useful information about the car park after confirmation of the booking.
The hotel was ideally located to town for restaurants, shops and the lake. There was plenty space to park. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice to eat and set us up for the day. The lounge areas were bright and comfortable.
Fantastic stay.
We stayed in the Lakeside view suite and it was fantastic. The view of lake windermere was superb! Super spacious room yet it still had a cosy feel.
The shower in the bathroom was great.
The staff were welcoming and friendly.
Great location!
Jackie & Steve were very friendly & welcoming. Nothing was too.much trouble to them and the breakfast was amazing. Craigholme is only a few minutes walk from Bowness on Windermere which has an excellent choice of restaurants and pubs.
The location is perfect. The hotel is by the main road, but not noisy at all. Totally soundproofing. The staffs are very friendly. James is very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend the hotel.
Comfortable and in a brilliant location. The TV facilities are basic but the property is well placed for the local area and its only a short walk into Bowness On Windermere centre.
Dog-friendly.
Great location for Bowness-On-Windermere. Really close to everything, but felt really quiet. Great to have parking available. Great views over the Lake from our bedroom and the breakfast room.
Dog friendly, short walk to restaurants/shops and lakefront, nearby hiking, comfortable space, convenient parking (pay), two bathrooms, underfloor heating, ping pong table was a nice surprise!

Room was very nice overlooking the lake.

We really enjoyed our stay.
