Wonderful village with excellent amenities and ideal for scenic walks followed by food! great range of cafes, pubs, hotels, fish and chips and a variety of shops. Only slight niggle is the parking is slightly expensive at £3.50 for 2 hrs or £5.50 all day - although card machines were easy to use. There is limited free parking in the village itself but limited to 2 hrs and generally full

Grassington is a lovely village in the Yorkshire Dales. We’ve stayed here on many occasions and come back 2 or times a year. It’s got typical Yorkshire charm with lots of individual cafes, shops and pubs. Amazing walks on the door step.

Grassington is a lovely Dales village - the town square has not changed for centuries. It is where All Creatures Great and Small is filmed but is much more than just that. I could have wandered around all day even in the gale force winds when we were there. Go and relax in this beautiful spot.
Lynette and Dave are lovely hosts and their B&B is all you can wish for: delicious breakfast and a cosy atmosphere. It was all very clean and it's really about the little bits and pieces that make this place so special. You can feel that Lynette and Dave put a lot of work, effort and joy into it.
It's located maybe a 5 minutes walk from the river and maybe 10 minutes walk from Grassington with its pubs, little shops, etc.
It is a beautiful place and a good one to explore the Yorkshire Dales.
The Emthwaite Escape must be the top place that my wife and I have stayed at in our long marriage. All facilities were excellent. The view from the window/garden was tranquil and spectacular.
The hosts were kind enough to put milk, cold water and cans of Coke in the fridge, as well as biscuits and crisps on the table.
We spent three evenings sitting on the patio area admiring the beauty that is the Yorkshire Dales.
We would recommend the Escape to all who want peace and quiet.
Located between Grassington and Pateley Bridge, the Clarendon Country Pub was in the perfect Yorkshire Dales location for walks and exploring. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and very accommodating of our travelling with a dog. The food was outstanding - congratulations to the chef, and the breakfast menu was extensive. Very comfortable room that even had proper plunger coffee and not just Nescafe sachets. I would highly recommend dining and staying here.
Owners and staff were friendly and knowledgable. Our room was impeccably clean and decorated to a good standard. Although decorated in a modern style it was sympathetic to the age of the building. Our room had its own private small balcony as a bonus. Breakfast was plentiful, with varied choice of quality food. Parking available. Ashfield House is quaint, in an idilic setting, just off the market square of a charming town in a beautiful area of the Yorkshire downs.
We were in Grassington for a Wedding and didn't manage to get to the Hotel till late at night.
Staff were really helpful, put my name on the door so I knew which room were in and left it open.
Only spent a short time in the room which was lovely and the breakfast was a 10 out of 10.
If we manage to get to Grassington again this is the B&B we will be booking.
Excellent food, we had dinner and breakfast. High quality products, very well presented and delicious.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
The location is great for beautiful country walks in the Yorkshire dales. The village has a few pubs and lots of cafes, galleries etc. Really pretty village.
The food was excellent both dinner and breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is located right in the centre of Grassington which is a very pretty village and surrounded by stunning countryside Our room was very comfortable and clean.
Excellent quality of food!
We enjoyed our diner and breakfast very much!
The public footpath into Grassington which takes you through the fields is well recommended! It is only 2 miles and besides the magnificient views you get, you will be able to have that extra drink in town!
Beautiful location in the centre of the village, staff very attentive, hard working and helpful, restaurant food was beautiful and good portions. Whilst the bedroom was on the smaller side it was perfectly adequate, clean and had everything that was required.
Beautiful place, right in the centre of Grassington. Very friendly and helpful staff (dried our very wet walking gear for us). Lovely snug area with a fire and honesty bar. Spare tea, coffee, little snacks left in communal areas. Good breakfast selection.
Loved the feel of the village and the location of our lodging. The friendly staff at The Devonshire went out of their way to accommodate. We absolutely love the fact that dogs are welcome in the hotel.
