This was the third time we had visited the area. Apart from all the museums there is much to see in the area, from various potteries to the Long Mind area of Shropshire - so different from where we live in rural Norfolk.

So much to see in just a few square miles - the people are exceptionally friendly and helpful. If visiting the attractions for a holiday of a few days or more, get a Pass Plus ticket to enable a year of visiting all of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage sites, with free parking at the museum sites at Blists Hill, Coalport, Jackfield and Coalbrookdale, together with reductions in the museum retail outlets and cafes. Visited twice in the past year from Manchester, once in September and again in February. Plenty of good pubs, cafes and places to eat and drink in Ironbridge too, making for a fantastic short break!

Living so close to Ironbridge I didn't really appreciate the area. Recently I returned to Shropshire and needed somewhere to stay. My choice of accommodation was influenced by the fact that the Robin Hood being my local when I lived in the area..

    The town is charm itself.

The town is charm itself. A perfect mix of independent retailers perfectly situated along the River Severn. The bridge itself is the main attraction but with lots of walks and woodland encompassing it. The people were friendly. There was a Vintage Jean shop that was a favourite of the teens and the second hand book shop. A gorgeous cooked breakfast at the cafe overlooking the bridge. Just a really wonderful location. Plenty of history to explore if you are into that.

Ironbridge is a pretty place steeped in history and interest. All around there are sites of historical interest, industrial revolution evidence, and the valley is beautiful, with the wild river Severn rushing past. Good shops, hotels and restaurants with a side of history and beauty.

The house itself was stunning with a beautiful view over the river and Ironbridge. The room was spotless and no detail had been overlooked. Jules the owner gave us a lovely warm welcome and even provided us with hone made cake in our room to have with a cup of tea. Breakfast was gorgeous - really well cooked, fresh fruits and homemade jams. We can’t fault our stay. The owner is planning to convert the house and outhouse into self catering accommodation in the future. We will definitely be back with our family to stay when she does!

Comfortable cottage, everything provided including tea and coffee with milk in the fridge. The location was perfect, quiet area but with a relatively easy walk to the main attractions of Ironbridge. The information sent prior to our stay was very useful. Although there is no parking at the cottage, there was a parking bay not far away but during our stay there were no available spaces here, luckily we were able to park in the local pub but if this was not an option parking could be an issue for guests.

landmark building in Ironbridge practically on top of the bridge. Great for access to the town and nearby attractions. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is in the middle of a refurbishment. Our room had been completed and was fantastic - clean, comfortable, and with lots of space. Looking forward to returning to see how the project is coming along!

The Decor was beautiful, our room was spotless and the bed was ultra comfortable. Our use of the private garden terrace really made it special. Our breakfast was delicious, we also had tea and cake on arrival. Mabel the dog made our stay even more memorable. A truly beautiful bed and breakfast, in the heart of Ironbridge.

Location was great with a superb 4 poster bed and nice breakfast in the morning with a nice 1.2 mile walk to the beautiful Ironbridge. The Black Swan public house was less than 200 metres away serving a great choice of food at reasonable prices. Local Craft museum and other local attractions nearby.

Location was excellent, near enough to Ironbidge and facilities, could walk to the bridge, restaurants etc, local Co-Op across the road for essentials. Being a townhouse the living room is on the top floor but the kitchen/diner was ideal with a lovely view from the terrace.
