We didn't have long, just one night. The overall impression was wonderful, and we would return. Our daughter lost her cuddly toy (probably on a trip outside) and the staff tried their best to help her. Even when it wasn't found, she was kindly gifted something else as a substitute.

Excellent. Great selection for breakfast, well cooked and very pleasantly served. Staff outstanding, friendly and professional. The whole ambience was elegant and the uniqueness and authenticity of the venue was exceedingly well-preserved. It offers a journey back in time with many fascinating and interesting features which make this a "stand-out" venue. If you are looking for something different or unusual that is certainly not pretentious or tacky, then visit the Walpole Bay Hotel.

Had everything we needed and then some! Having tea/coffee and milk was a lovely touch. And we had a great surprise to find the outside space 😌
It is a bit of a walk to the main town of Margate but only £5 in a taxi.
Liz was really communicative and helpful, highly recommend!
Buzzing place . Old town full of lovely galleries, independent shops and great bars and eateries . Shell grotto great - crab museum a must . Loved the Turner gallery but also smaller ones . Fez bar brilliant and Angela's fish restaurant offered really delicious food .

Didn’t like Margate as much as Ramsgate not many pubs there, the only decent place is the mechanical elephant other places were expensive bars which were not my scene no karaoke venues like Ramsgate, just like Guildford the rodboro buildings in the centre and very few pubs in a big town which are all spread out of the town instead of being in the centre, it’s one of those towns with more tea places and diners and less pubs in the towns, can’t beat my number one town Reading in Friar street.

Lots to do and see but be aware everything shut on Mondays.
Lots to do and see but be aware everything shut on Mondays. I visited the Turner gallery, shell grotto, crab museum. I didn't have time to see the caves. Great sunsets. Loads of places to eat. I would highly recommend the Bull's Head for Sunday lunch. Best roasties ever! The Olimpia Bakery does coffee and amazing cakes.

I loved the fact that Seaview was in the old town of Margate, directly opposite Turner Contemporary and beautiful beach. Useful information folder, recommending everything from places to eat drink, visit etc. Loads of free street parking, regular buses to surrounding areas. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, be that in restaurants, shops or the bus drivers. A wonderful experience!

Margate exceeded my expectations, the old town has some great bars and coffee shops, the old Kent market was a amazing little place with it's micro pub and eateries... Yes there's parts that have homeless people mooching about the the local shop owners ect are so friendly and point you in the right direction, also I found the local cab service brilliant the drivers wew so helpful, you have a art scene there and vibrant diverse community, it's not rolling hills or sedate Cornwall but ticked lots of boxes for me, Beach has lovely sand and little Louisa bay quieter nice little cafe for pitstop, will definitely return... Some parts so run down it hurts but other so up and coming it made it a pleasure to visit oh nip to Broadstairs for Morellis ice cream
Totally loved it. It was a gem of a place - so central and oh so Boho….had everything you need and bonus spare room for
When the snoring kicked in (sea air!?)
Property had so many features - kitchen (we only needed the toaster are out most of the time) everything is there that you need - cooker; microwave; dishwasher; et etc etc.
I absolutely fell in love with Margate ❤️
Also big thumbs up to Sunetra who was so responsive in her communications.
We absolutely loved our stay at Walpole Bay hotel. The location was incredible, I think you could see the sea from most of the rooms, and it was amazing to sit on the verandah and have a cream tea looking at the sun set! The staff was so lovely, they even changed our room, so our daughter has her own bed. Overall the hotel has a lot of charm and character, we’d definitely stay there again!
I could park my car In front of the hotel for free. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. You can make coffee and tea in your bedroom.
The hotel located near the sea and if you go to the sea and turn right you can walk in a beautiful and quiet area. Cafés and restaurants were nearby, also Aldi was near. It was 8 minutes walk to the Shell grroto and Margate caves.
This was truly home-to-home. Wendy's house was exceptionally clean, stylish and welcoming. The beddings were the most comfortable to lie on. We felt like visiting a friend in Margate. The breakfast had everything like a five starred hotel could provide! The bus stop to Margate is just around the corner and it takes 10 mins bus ride to the town centre. Thank you Wendy!
Excellent apartment with the best view!
Spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need including some lovely toiletry packs in the bathroom.
Couldn’t ask for a better location in margate, right across from the beach.
Helpful communications before and throughout the trip.
Fabulous stay - would most definitely return!
Cracking wee place, great bar down the stairs and super fun, flirty staff. I think I'll be back next time I've an excuse to go to Margate.
Oh wait, the breakfast is AMAZING. I forgot that. I wasn't expecting much but it was all top quality stuff. Best sausage ever.
Lovely cooked breakfast. room very clean. I have been going to Margate now every year for decades and I found this hotel to be a little gem. Fantastic friendly couple running the hotel. I will going back to this hotel as it hit all the right spots for me
What a lovely little find this hotel was, staff were lovely and went over and above to make our anniversary special, room was great, beach opposite but 20 min walk to the main Margate beach. Would definitely come back and thank you x
The location was absolutely ideal. Everywhere we went in Margate was a 3-5 min walk from the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. Found free parking in trinity square which is close. Host Paul was helpful and nice.

Location was great with a sea views. Ideal walking distance to the Centre of Margate. The two en-suites were a real plus. The kitchen was nicely equipped and very clean as appeared to be recently refurbished.
Good location for visiting Margate and Westgate.
Although the hotel is on a main road there was no traffic noise late at night and lots of parking spaces for guests.
Double bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was really good with fresh fruit, delicious scrambled eggs and loads of other options. This is a charming hotel with lots of character and it has been well maintained. Would highly recommend.
superbly decorated and finished , everything you need for a short break !!!! decent furnishings , very clean and fresh ….. a great price . would pick this over any hotel Margate has to offer !!!!!!
This is a fabulous little place in Margate, minutes from the sea. It's a lovely, unique little place. You can tell real care has been put into things. Highly recommended.
