Small place, too crowded, everything walkable.
Many supermarkets, restaurants and shops.
Some tourist attractions, impossible to visit in the hot water, for example to climb to the castle on the top of the mountain.
Rafting on Cetina river was amazing.
One can take boat trip on the Cetina canyon.
The beach is open, with umbrellas and sunbeams too. Clean water to swim.

We picked Omis because of the activities that were available there and we were not disappointed. We did rafting, a speedboat tour to the blue cave and some islands, ziplining, trip to Krka National park and jet skis. We were going to do canyoning but decided on a beach day instead. If/when we return we will also do a boat ride up the river and hire a boat and go across to some islands. Our 17 year old sun did not get bored! The old town is lovely, although very busy. There are many restaurants that were all very nice. Most sold the same sorts of food consisting of a range of meat and fish/seafood dishes as well as pasta and pizza. Some of them specialised a bit but we all ate well every night for a reasonable price. There are also a few souvenir shops and shops selling beach items.
Be aware fruit is expensive at the stalls. One nectarine was 3 euros. We spent 38 euros on 4 nectarines, 2 plums, 1/4 watermelon and some grapes and a significant amount had to be thrown away. Other than that the food is reasonably priced with several small supermarkets throughout Omis.
Whilst a guide on one of our trips considered the beaches to be sandy, they are not what we think of as sandy- more shingle mixed with sand. Think builders sand. Saying this, the beaches were clean and the sea is crystal clear and we still spent time there and would return.
You can pay by card in the restaurants and supermarkets but the activities, food stalls and small shops were cash only. Not a problem in itself but we wished we had gone prepared for this as it meant we had to take cash out of the ATM a few times.
Public toilets cost 1 euro to use. This can add up if your out for the day and there are a few of you.
Overall a great place to be. we would recommend and return here.

Lovely little town with all you need on your vacaay!
You will find there old town with narrow streets, great restaurants, sand and rock beaches, mountains and of course beautiful river Cetina.
City is not so big but yet it isn'n crowded, even in full summer season.

Omis is an amazing location for people (singles, couples or families) who are looking to explore Croatia's amazing country side by doing as little or as much as you want. There is an abundance of activities which are aimed at varying levels of fitness with some activities more suited to those adrenaline junkies. Would recommend visiting during the summer time but would still be amazing during autumn or spring.

Good place to stay if you don't like crowded tourist places.
Good place to stay if you don't like crowded tourist places. The city is charming. It has everything one may need - historical Old Town, sunny beaches, restaurants and cafes, magnificent mountains and river.
Its location is good to explore the surroundings.
Ema, the apartment ambassador, was wonderful. Very helpful and supportive. As it's difficult to park close to the property, she arranged a parking space within walkable distance (4min). She also managed absolutely awesome breakfast in the hotel on the other side of the road. If you are going to Omis, don't look for anything else. Stay here, this is your spot.
PS: even if the apartment is very close to the main road, don't worry about it. You can barely hear any noise.
PS2: All the restaurants are within a 2min walk
- amazing and willing host
- stunning view from balcony
- fragrant appartment
- privacy (no neighbours above you and next to you when you are in upper appartment)
- peacefull place (although next to Jadranska magistrala, it does not bother you, even not at night. Good sleep)
- nierby restaurants and shop
- Netflix
- beatyfull nearby beaches with not many people
- comfortable parking next to main street
- a few moscitos compared to other parts of Croatia
- very good quality/price ratio.
The rooms were very clean. The location of the rooms is right in the center of Omis, walking distance from the main sights. There is also a beach in the vicinity, as well as the entrance to the canyon. The parking arrangements were a bit confusing at the beginning, but all worked fine ( you are supposed to leave your car in a payed parking lot and then the host will give you a monthly pass that you can use to leave the parking without having to pay).
We loved the villa, it was really clean and was perfect for our family group. It was close to Omis and the beach. We enjoyed a white water rafting trip and hired a speed boat for a day so visited Brac island. We cooked two meals at the villa but had some lovely meals at the nearby restaurants. Restoran Puljiz and Croatia were the best for food and service. The 3 apartments meant our group had space and independence.
The hostess, Dragana, was amazing and went out of her way to assist with all. We learnt so much about the Croatian way from her, just take the time and ask. She is a source of knowledge. As for the venue, nice walks in the area, a little too steep for me to walk back from the beach, but as we had a car this was not an issue.
Wonderful, peaceful location. A 3 bedroom bungalow with pool. We enjoyed our stay here. Fresh mountain air. Away from crowds. Easy access to Omis, and some wonderful restaurants along the river and on the mountains. The kind of place you can just stay and relax. Very friendly owners.
Very clean, cosy and quiet apartment with spacious Amazing seaview balcony, small but fully equipped kitchen. Perfect for a family of three. 11 min walk from city center and beach. Very kind and helpful host. All in all, best ever accommodation we have had in Croatia.
A modern hotel right on the beach in Omis. Staff were excellent and found me a safe park for my motorcycle out front of reception. Excellent restaurant with beach views. I would definitely stay here again when in Croatia.
The hotel is in a very picturesque location with amazing views of the Cetina canyon and the city of Omiš. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant with delicious fish and local produce. Also, the breakfast was amazing ☺️
The property was in close proximity to a number of smaller beaches. Our favourite go-to beach was Brzet beach. The property was also close to other destinations such as Split and Makarska which we also visited.
Location is perfect if you like privacy. Apartman was well equipped. you can comfortably prepare meals and store your food. 2 bathrooms. 2 grocery shops nearby. nice places for dinner in Omis city center.
super clean, only 12 rooms. great attitude staff. been traveling for 2 weeks we had our best food there. I never eat at the hotels. decided to give it a chance, the best food ever. unique artistic taste
Amazing place, just couple of meters from the beach. The best view out of the window I had in Croatia. In enjoyed amazing breakfast here, included in price. Also room was incredibly comfortable.
I’ve never been in better hotel in Croatia. I recommend this hotel to everybody. Nice hotel, great staff and perfect brakefast… p.s. If you are there, order cocktail by the pool and enjoy 😊
The property is gorgeous, new and clean and modern, right on the beach and a beautiful hotel. It is also nice that parking is included. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful
in the historic center of Omis. Everything was great with my stay. I needed a last minute stay so that I could explore the area in the morning. it was a very usable apartment.
The apartman was verry nice and clean! The owner is verry friendly who was there whenever we needed! I recomanded for everyone who want to have a good time in Croatia!
.Nice hotel, a bit hard to find but OK. Very clean room, friendly staff. Breakfast was good, the food generally was good at the restaurant. We liked our stay
