Was a relaxing island. Felt the nature all around. We ate at the Pearl restaurant which had great food and a lovely view of the marsh. Our server pointed out the ponies in the distance and brought us binoculars to see them.

It is a very small town.
It is a very small town. There aren’t many restaurants and places to eat. Everything closes very early, so plan accordingly. it’s perfect for a short vacation, one or two days, if you live about 2 hrs away. It is nice if you like riding bikes, fishing, kayaking. We live in Richmond and it is the same distance to OBX. In my opinion, I would go to NC. The beach is nicer and you’ll have more to do. But if you live in northern Va o MD. It is perfect!

The island is a beautiful blend of coastal and country.
The island is a beautiful blend of coastal and country. We took a guided boat tour with Daisy Island Tours and learned all about the island history, the ponies, and fishing. Lots of small businesses to support that treat you like family. Key West Cottages are so clean, unique, and I highly reccomend you stay there. Driving to Assateague National Park is a must.
Loved our visit!

Absolutely loved Chincoteague
Absolutely loved Chincoteague
Took the Assateague explorer boat tour twice highly recommend it. Rented moped trikes awesome!! The beach was gorgeous. People were friendly
A great over all experience.
I wasn't excepting much after I checked the Google reviews, but I was positively surprised! The staff was super helpful and nice, the accommodations were simple but comfortable and very clean. For breakfast, you could pick up a brown bag (a great idea for COVID times) and choose between different types of toast, biscuits or bagels, tea, coffee, fruits, and boiled eggs. It is a simple hotel, not a 5-star accommodation, but given that, it was great. I would definitely come back.
The hotel is now under new management. The improvements already made were quite noticeable--including a competent and very friendly and accommodating staff, a much cleaner facility, and grounds improvement. It has only been a short while since the change occurred, so the new staff hasn't had a great deal of time to make changes. But, if the improvements continue as seen so far, this hotel will soon be an even better value for the money. We will definitely return.
It was a good price for all the amenities and a pool for kids. Bathroom and towels and linins were clean. Decor and solid nice furniture were nice like the fancier hotels. The bed was comfy. Nice hot shower at night and sit back on the pillows and watch tv ! Maybe throw clean towel over bolster pillow. Good location for biking all over Chinotequa and Ashtenaqua or whatever it's called Nature Reserve.
We stayed in a beautifully updated room, but overall the staff very incredibly lovely, many thoughtful touches around the place including access to bikes, picnic baskets and the likes for those on holiday, the breakfast was incredible, and the location is perfect for a stay in Chincoteague. Overall we had a lovely time! Love the special touches in the room including guide and history books.
We absolutely love the location of this hotel and the room views are wonderful. The pool is in a great setting where we can look out at the water and the pier. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast quite decent for these times that have been changed by Covid. We love the atmosphere of Chincoteague and would recommend Waterside Inn.
The hotel is at a nice location which is close to the island and not too close. Rooms are neat except for fly's and mosquitoes in the rooms and everywhere. The entire island is seeing a lot of them this year. I wish they clean the rooms regularly rather than waiting till the guests vacate.
It was our second visit and we love the view from the balcony. The room itself was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We didn't try the included breakfast because the hotel is only about 3 blocks from Amarin Coffee, which has the best breakfast pastries and coffee I've ever tasted.
Like the set up
It's pet friendly
The size of the bungalows
The pool and the fact that they have boats and golf carts to rent on site.
Have a bathhouse
On-site ice and water will be available
Carts available to get your luggage to and from Bungalows
Super affordable compared to the other hotels. My gf and I were looking for something nice but wouldn’t break the bank. It had everything we needed and was a perfect place to stay. It was our first time at the island and we had a blast.
Classic 3 story plantation style motel located in the heart of Chincoteague. It is a two star with basic amenities. Beds were average but comfortable, very clean and had standard amenities. Very friendly staff and close to everything.
The view from the room was amazing! The entire place was incredibly clean and the staff made us feel right at home. This is my second time in Chincoteague and my second time at this hotel and I will definitely be back!
I liked how friendly, polite and accommodating the staff was. The room was far superior to other 3-star hotels I’ve been to—rooms are huge! Everything was squeaky clean too!
We love the location, the value...and they must have replaced the mattresses because WOW are the beds comfy!! We love Annie the Island Kitty, she is a welcome new addition.
Friendly service, hot hotel breakfast, great location, clean and spacious rooms. Free parking and good Wifi signal. No major issues for a short 4 day stay.
