This is a beautiful historic hotel. The bedrooms had character and we had super views from the back of the property. Breakfast provided a wide variety of options. The location was excellent on the edge of the old town and not too far to walk to the train station.

third time I have stayed here and would readily stay again. good location in historic old town but easily walkable to the station and shops, several eating options nearby. modern room and facilities but in historic setting. friendly staff and a good breakfast.
staff were happy for me to sit in the restaurant to have a beer - again a fantastic setting.

Fantastic village to take Bernina Express.
Fantastic village to take Bernina Express. However, if yo wish to take Bernina, then dont rent a car rather buy Swiss rail passes which seem expensive but then all transport is free and you get 50% off on Bernina express, Glacier express, and all private rides like Titlis Air and others. So this is well worth a spend.

The alleyways are great piece of architecture and lots of choices for small boutiques and restaurants in Affordable price. You won't get lost in Chur as it is only straight line to the main train station. We only stayed 1 night in Chur and were thus unable to fully explore the town itself and the surrounding area. There is a good range of shops, historic buildings and churches (especially the cathedral) which are worth visiting. It's not a large town but there are several attractive squares to wander around and, like most places in Switzerland, extremely clean and tidy. We ate at a very good restaurant/bar called Calanda - great service/atmosphere/food and drink choices.

The cable car was fantastic, would have stayed another day just to take full advantage of this… However it’s very expensive in Chur… eating out was prohibitive for us due to how much it would have cost, we could stay in a good apartment in Bolzano Italy for one night for the same cost as a meal for two.. even buying food from the supermarket is expensive… btw Bolzano is a fantastic place to visit ..

We loved Chur. Beautiful , historic old town in the centre.
We loved Chur. Beautiful , historic old town in the centre. It seemed like a town where regular working folk lived rather than being very touristy although there were tourists. Interesting Viamal Gorge and walk accessibly easily by train and bus . As it was raining we didn’t go on the walk just the short walkway by the cafe .

Pleasantly surprised with our stay which was scheduled around taking the Bernina Express. Had we researched Chur, would have planned a longer stay. Chur is worth considering if you enjoy long nature walks. mountain biking or just being outside in the fresh mountain air.
The location is perfect in the old part of the city. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful and breakfast was good for a 3 star with a great selection including fresh fruit.
We were a little dubious as the hotel has bedrooms with shared bathrooms so we thought it might not be great, but we booked late with little choice in Chur and I'm pleased to say it far exceeded our expectations.
It was the only hotel we stayed in that had various electrical adaptors in the room, and a 'proper' hairdryer too!
This hotel was ideal for us (travelling by train). Chur is an expensive town but we felt that this charming hotel represented good value for money. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was particularly good with a wide choice of items, including local cheese and meat. It was a particularly hot and humid night when we stayed and although there was no air conditioning in the room (tricky to fit in this building and location, I would think), a fan was provided.
What a unique hotel, located in the heart of the historical section of Chur. The hotel is within easy walk to a range of restaurants, other food and beverage outlets and the various transport options. Sight seeing around the historic area Chur is an eyeopening adventure into the cities past and its architecture. The room was small but adequate and the staff very friendly. The potential of wine with breakfast was a first for us.
Staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was a good spread. Had dinner in the restaurant twice and the meals were good. The hotel is situated on the edge of the old town so very convenient to explore. Chur itself is a good base for exploring the very scenic areas leading to the likes of Tirano, Arosa, St.Moritz etc using the local rail network.
Basically next to train station. Room spacious, friendly staff and very helpful.
Bed was comfortable and easy walking distance to all shops and restaurants in Chur. Highly recommend this hotel and Chur definitely worth a visit for an afternoon of meandering around the shops if travelling on Bernina Express next day.
Flat is located on the heart of old city. Just 3 minutes walking distance away from train station. We stayed 1 night at Chur since we were going to take the Bernina Express the morning after. Location made everything easy for us. Flat was clean and well designed. Bed was comfortable. Heating was good.
It was an absolutely lovely traditional building with a lot of history. Staff were nice too, and breakfast was very Swiss and a really great experience. If you are looking for the quaint hotel in Chur then this is it. The price point (by Swiss standards) was reasonable as well.
-Staff accommodated our late check-in request and provided clear instructions on how to access the building and our hotel room after hours.
-Bus stop is right in front of the hotel.
-Provides easy access and convenience to travellers taking the Bernina Express in Chur.
My fixed spot when visiting northern Grissons. clean and tidy rooms, friendly staff, underground garage. Hotel is located 50m from gas stations, supermarkets and McDonalds too :) 15 minutes by car from Arosa/Lenzerheide and Laax ski areas. Big up Ibis Chur
It was close to a great part of Chur, very cute area. There's lots of facilities at the hotel including a shared kitchen, coworking space and community room. The beds were comfy and I could see mountains from the window. Staff was very friendly.
Nice hotel for a short stay. Very practical with large parking space in front of room. (motel concept) Rooms are clean and bathroom is ok. Very close to highway at 1,5 km from the city center of Chur in an industrial area.
This is such a friendly hotel the staff couldn't do more to be helpful and accommodating. The food in the restaurant is also excellent.
The rooms are clean and comfortable and excellent value for Switzerland.
The breakfast was very good. The hotel had a very cozy and charming dining area. The restaurant was always busy so the food is good! Comfortable bed and clean rooms.
Relatively affordable ( by Switzerland standards) near train station, restaurants, cafes and grocery stores. Renovated older building with kitchenettes.
