The location and its beautiful grounds. Such a lovely setting. The family were warm and extremely welcoming and couldn’t do enough for mum and myself. Our twin double room was spotless and facilities excellent. The views of the gardens were spectacular as the swallows and sparrows were all nesting in the waves and the Cherry and lilac trees were in beautiful bloom. Beds were super comfy and shower excellent. The family filled us in thoroughly about the local sights and provided very good recommendations for places to visit and eat. Breakfast was with the family and loads of choice. Adored the creamy porridge and home made bread and stewed plums. We chatted and felt totally included. They really were outstanding and genuinely lovely hosts. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality Michele and Arthur and AJ.

I grew up in Drogheda for over 18 years so naturally i am totally biased as this is a very historic town and the river Boyne has been within reach since childhood with places like Baltray, Terminfechin and Clougherhead memorable haunts. The reason for staying at the D was convenient for all of my family members to visit. My usual place to sstay when "HOME" is with my sister but unfortunately she can no longer drive.

Drogheda is an historical town set between Dublin and Dundalk on the east coast of Ireland. It has a mainline station and a busy bus station providing connections to the main cities, regional centres and local places. The town is busy with plenty of places to eat, meet friends and have coffee. People are welcoming and interested in stories from abroad (in my case, London) and also like hearing what is going on up the coast (Dundalk) and in Dublin. There are some great 'curiosities' in Drogheda (historical sites & quaint shops) and most of all it's a stone's throw from Dublin, making it a convenient place for international travel and further exploration of particularly the east coast of Ireland. Because it's not Dublin, the cost of accommodation is considerably more economical, with a slightly more laid-back feel and good efficiency. I particularly liked the buses and even got a free ride when I got on the wrong one (something which rarely happens to me in London!).

During the day it was a pleasant little town. Places of interest to visit nearby. At night rather rough, unsavoury. Standard of food and service in restaurants was excellent. People friendly and helpful in tourist information centre. Signage on roads was difficult to follow.

The garden apartment was excellent . We travel to the area 2-3 times a year to visit family and it is the best place we have stayed in. The interior is very high quality with super comfy beds and the outside area has a wonderful atmosphere. It was lovely to arrive to a few treats and enough to start us off for a few days with milk, juice and plenty of tea and coffee. We even had little bags of toiletries. This is a very special place and it was a pleasure to stay in this accommodation for a few days.

Adorable hotel rich with history. Former Christian Brothers monastery, so rooms are on the smaller side as one would expect for monks/students focused on monastic life. Charming entrance with flowers and fountains, interiors with paintings depicting history of the area (Boyne valley conflicts, etc.). Staff very friendly and attentive. Bartender very committed to his craft, introducing us to the Pornstar Martini (a definite reorder). Delicious meal in the gastropub.

The room was nice, the bed was not very comfortable. We had requested for twin beds. The twin beds were right next to each with a king head board. We had to separate them ourselves. We found out after we booked that they were only serving a continental breakfast, no lunch or dinner served in the dining area. There was also remodeling going on in the hotel. Limited services. The staff was very pleasant.

This was a cosy B&B on the outskirts of Drogheda. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The place was very clean, the bed and pillows were comfy and we really appreciated the hot water in the shower and big fluffy towels warming on the radiator when we arrived soaked having been walking on the Boyne Valley Camino. We would recommend to friends and family.

Kitchen with all cooking utensils, cooker and various electronic appliances, very convenient. Of course we will come again to this place, see you there! 💗

Comfortable B&B outside the business area of Drogheda. Chose this location for our last night in Ireland and it’s close proximity to Dublin Airport. Maya gave a good overview of our room and its features. Several options available for breakfast, along with a breakfast bar of packaged croissants, yogurts, fresh fruit, cereals and breads.

The hotel is in a very central location of the town and close to the center however it has its own with bar and restaurant facilities which were very good. The staff were lovely and the hotel was clean. The breakfast was very tasty and well manned. The over all experience was good and would go back and recommend to others.
