It was very quiet, although we expected that it should be high season and therefore busier. It is a beautiful old town and well worth visiting. This hotel was beautiful and the staff were great. Our 2 bedroom apartment was beautifully decorated and had everything that we needed. The location was perfect and within walking distance to everything. We will definitely be back again and would highly recommend it.

For us, Bacharach was a visit to a totally charming village...
For us, Bacharach was a visit to a totally charming village of numerous old homes ( some dating back pre-16th century, yet well-restored and maintained) and cobbled streets. During our stay, we walked: - up to the castle above the town - strenuous for us-we are both in our 70s! - about 3km towards Kalb (sited on the opposite side of the Rhine; - about 6km up into the hills above Bacharach. Each of these walks were highlights of our five-day stay. In summary, we had the benefit of a very comfortable apartment, excellent, thoughtful hosts; combined with a visit to a beautiful town.

The entire place was very clean, and the triple room was roomy, with the single part having its own sink - they shared a balcony with a view. The hosts were very welcoming and gave us a lot of information for touring nearby as well as recommended some a couple of restaurants in town - we ate at them both and they were delicious!
