You cannot go wrong staying at this property. Every employee that I encountered were incredibly polite and efficient. I have stayed at other properties in the Johannesburg area and they were enjoyable however not even close to my stay at Premier O R Tambo. All my future stays will be here. I don't have any negative comments,just to say, again, that the walk is a bit long for people ,like me who have leg issues.I don't need a wheel chair but get tired after long cramped flights.A little train,as they have at Dubai airport would be great.If you need supplies,like toothpaste or want to go and do a bit of shopping in the airport if there's time,its off putting to know its such a long walk on wobbly,old legs with hip problems.Anne - 2.0Scored 2.0

Unreal that it's a Southern Sun and has the word International alongside! Outdated, unmaintained rooms, bathrooms, and furnishings, in particular the carpets throughout. Cleanliness was definitely lacking. They did not cater for vegetarians and vegans. Had to wait in line at reception to check in Couldn't bring own bottled water to restaurant. The service at the restaurant was horrendous. When we asked for tea, the cups were dumped in front of my mum and then the waitron went off for saucers and then again for spoons and the tea! There was no customer service or excellence in execution of tasks. Waiters forgot that we had ordered items and when they were brought, it was much delayed and unprofessional. Airport transfer is ridiculous as it only arrives or drops off at International terminal. This was not mentioned during my booking emails and so I had to pay for a taxi at domestic terminal to the hotel upon arrival as there were 2 elderly and 1 child in our family. Absurdly ridiculous process even though I asked for assistance telephonically from the hotel reception upon arrival and from the concierge when I arrived at the hotel.Naidoo - 6.0Scored 6.0

very close to the airport hence very convenient if you connecting flights. they also offer free airport shuttle which is good. But be warned the rooms are very very very basic, so not for leisure travellers. they also offer a pretty decent breakfast

I like most the convenience to the airport. The breakfast and the service at breakfast time was very good and I liked the air conditioning. I didn’t like the service at dinner time. It felt disorganized - the tables weren’t cleaned. I was seated at a used table. It took along time to get our orders. I didn’t like the outdatedness of the hotel room decor. There also was no hairdryer.

I was attending an afternoon memorial service in Johannesburg and was able to leave my suitcase at the hotel hours before check-in, which I really appreciated. The free airport shuttle is a big plus, because the hotel is situated a few kilometres from the airport but is much cheaper than those on site. Ronnie, the shuttle bus driver, was amazing with his advice, dropping me (slightly off his normal route) at the Rhodesfield Gautrain station. It saved me a lot of money!Shelley JSouth Africa

At first i had to stay 2 nights but i stayed 2 nights more, it is very quiet, safe area. I think it is the best value in airport aera. It is very very clean and in my room i had a kettle, tv and a fridge. Wifi works very strong. It is a very nice lodge and confortable if you want to stay close to the airport and not to go in Johannesburg center. The lady of the reception is very kind and helpful.

Of course the sound of the airplanes can be heard. The cottage we stayed in was very spacious. The staff is super nice. Breakfast and dinner are good. Dinner is a fixed menu with a very good price. The hotel helped us in organizeing a beatiful tour in Soweto.
