Wissembourg is a quaint French Alsatian town just across the German border. In fact, you can hike from Wissembourg across the border into Germany wine-country for lunch (or vice versa). It's an especially good daytrip for folks living in Heidelberg or Mannheim--you can get to Wissembourg on the local German train system.

Interesting town right on the border of Germany with a most interesting art exhibition taking place throughout the summer of 2021 in the church of Saints Peter& Paul - the largest church in Alsace after the cathedral of Strasbourg- as part of several exhibitions in Alsace under the heading of 'Chemin d'Art Sacré ' (Road of Sacred Art)

Small town, but good things come in little packages. The church is amazing!
Great walking town to exploit and Learn local history, but we would have liked to bike around to see even more if we had more time. Lots of bike trails, and Mountain Biking trails.

This is a real gem in the corner of Alsace.
This is a real gem in the corner of Alsace. There are several very nice fine dining opportunities (The Cygne and L'Ange to name 2). We have enjoyed fine meals at each over the years. There are also many wine and site seeing locations within an easy drive. Walking the town ramparts is a great way to start the day.
The cosy house built in half-timbered style is located centrally in Wissembourg, within ca 15 minutes walking distance from the train station. The starting points of several hiking tours are close, such as the bar with the longest opening times in town. The apartment is fully equipped with a shared terrace located at the same floor. Our host was very nice and pragmatic. However, we did not have much contact as everything was fine :)
The place where the room is situated is a beautiful place, very quiet, the host is absolutely wonderful, everything was clean, the breakfast was amazing and delicious. I highly recommend this place and we have no words to describe how helpful the host was in guiding us and they ensured our stay was as comfortable as possible. Wissembourg is a beautiful place to visit and great food around. We will definitely return here.
Everything! It was literally on of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. We got one of the most beautiful rooms, I believe it was 25. The whole room is well designed, cosy, spacious. The bathroom in red is another highlight. Very very very friendly manager. Breakfast is possible in the hotel next to it. The location is great - check the market on Saturday morning, which is nearby.
The rooms were clean, the breakfast was wonderful, it was all perfect! The lady at the hotel front desk asked me what brought me to Wissembourg. I told her that I was a student. As I was waiting for my bill for breakfast, the lady told me that breakfast was on her. I'm literally speechless. Absolutely lovely staff. I will for sure come back to this hotel in the future.
It is a Pension rather than a true hotel and the price you pay reflects that. There is no restaurant for evening meals, at least not on a Tuesday, most of the other restaurants in town were also shut that night as well !
A clean room, spotless bathroom and a comfortable bed at a very reasonable price, what's not to like. Breakfast is limited but sufficient.
Beautiful traditional family run hotel with very comfortable rooms and modernised bathrooms. Right in the centre of the village. Very clean. Guest lounge was spacious and well equipped with microwave and tea/coffee making facilities. Lovely dinner at the restaurant and delicious breakfast with excellent choices. Coffee and boiled eggs to order.
Nice location - easy to find and within walking distance of town center. Nice, quiet rooms, nice bathrooms with bathtub. Good breakfast.
The staff was very helpful - we decided to arrive one day earlier, late in the evening, and they made sure we could get in to the hotel, even though the reception was closed when we arrived.
Great location right in the heart of Wissembourg. The apartment is also fully equipped with coffee, tea and there was even a bottle of wine. The double bed is extremely spacious and can easily accommodate two people. Other beds were also super comfy. We also liked the beautiful decoration in the apartment.
The city is small and anywhere would be close to central, however the location is actually in the center.
it is a very small hotel, however I like the cleanness of the rooms, the attention to the details and the kindness of the staff.
The beds are clean and comfortable with many cushions to choose from.
The hotel was a convenient short walk from the old town with good restaurants. The breakfast was very standard but acceptable - all very similar to am Ibis experience. Ample parking, though it would have been useful to have had a garage for my Motorbike.
This was a charming hotel in a charming town. It has a rustical appearance inside that conveys the Alsace feeling. The location is also outstanding for anyone visiting Weissembourg. The staff was also able to help me in German and in English.
The bathroom was really new and good.
The beds where really comfortable.
Really close to the train station, so this was good. Also about the location, since the town is small, from the hotel to the city center was a nice walk.
Cosiness of the rooms. Very quaint decor
Friendliness of hostess
All kitchen facilities available. Fresh fruit and coffee on offer
Quite near Wissembourg centre
Car parking
It is really a super super nice hotel! I recommend everyone choose here ! it lives like at home. And I would like to say this is the best hotel I have ever lived before.
