At the hotel where we stayed, the Mecure, The reception staff was excellent, most welcoming and assisted in all our needs, including arranging for us to have a shower in the evening before our long flight home, even though we had checked out earlier in the day.
The restaurant staff at the bar were wonderful, as ther brewed us some exceptionally good coffee during our breakfast.

Doncaster is a beautiful suburb with great shopping and dining. Biggest drawback is lack of a train station, but it’s a quick 5-10min bus ride to Box Hill Station. 30-40 minutes to the city via public transport. One of the highest points above sea level in Melbourne, so you often get nice city views while walking. Nice bike/walking trail at nearby Koonung Creek, one of the best shopping centres in Melbourne, lots of great food and coffee.

Easy access to bus into the city where we could then move about using the Free Zone trams etc. Went to Docklands - all the new development has made this a vibrant area to spend some time. Enjoyed walking the laneways from Flinders Street and then through some of the lovely old arcades.
Had a lovely dinner at One Thai in Balwyn only 4 minutes drive from our apartment near Westfield Shopping Town.
Easy access to Shopping Town for all your day to day needs.
Within an easy drive of the Yarra Valley, went to the Healesville Sanctuary - highly recommend. Called in at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery - fabulous - saw lots of families enjoying outdoor activities.
Drove down to Dromana on the Mornington Peninsular. Lovely beach though far to cold to swim. Hazy day but could still see across the bay to Melbourne City skyline. Drove up to Arthur’s Seat Lookout - wow. The new gondola was very busy and would be something to do on another visit. Be aware that if you use the M3 toll road it is $35 for the return trip.
Clean and comfortable property. Ideally located within walking distance of Westfield Doncaster (shopping centre), bus links to the city and playgrounds for our toddler. Comfortable beds. Bedrooms at rear meant we didn't hear road traffic during sleeping hours. Strong shower. Welcoming and helpful hosts. Designated parking spot was great. The garden was a perfect size to entertain our toddler. The Pancake Parlour is less than 5 minutes walk away!
We had to buy our own food items, but all sorts of kitchen equipment were well provided. The caretaker on the premises was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The resident inmates took care the place was well kept, which unfortunately was not always followed by incidental visitors!
The wifi was excellent and the location too, with good bus connections nearby and a major shopping mall within 5 minutes walking distance.
This was one of the most quiet properties even though it is located close to shops (Doncaster Shopping Centre), it was clean, and had everything one would normally expect for a property with this rating. This property offers free, security parking. Bonuses are the free laundry and most delicious free coffee available in the lobby. Can't recommend highly enough.
Very comfortable & spacious apartment. Excellent for a family with additional space for a cot away from the living area & bedrooms. Excellent shower & comfortable beds. Undercover parking was great too. Location was also great for what we needed in Doncaster & very close to train station. Full sized fridge was good too
Spot on all facilities in the bedroom

Could not have been better located
Thank you for your consideration when we had to leave early to avoid the lock down
We had a good sized room with a comfortable bed. Parking was close to the room and free. Fittings and fixtures were what you might expect for a budget hotel.
Hotel was clean, location was good for what we wanted it for. Staff were friendly enough. If we weren't a family, this place wouldn't have been so bad.
