By far the most impressive thing about Rhodes is the castle and the history of the area. Has to be the biggest and most grande set of fortifications any - where . I visited at the end of Feb. so no beaches. Weather is still pleasant around + 16 - +20 good temperature for hiking. I took fast ferry to Halki-one hour- walked and climbed to Castle of the Knights of St John. Took appr. 1 hr to walk - wouldn’t be fun in summer - take water. As i visited at the end of Feb. great deals on hotels, restaurants were not busy , but weather still very pleasant.Richard - 10Scored 10

Local shops and amenities were in walking distance and Rhodes Town centre was just a few minutes away by car. Plenty of parking spaces in front of the property. We enjoyed having our morning coffees on the top terrace, but the ground floor sitting area was equally nice. The apartment had everything we needed: kitchenette, washing machine, air con and enough space for the two of us. Marietta was very helpful, easy to communicate with via WhatsApp and an amazing host. Nice sized airy room, with lovely sea view from balcony and within a 10 minute walk to Old Town and Rhodes Town and less than 5 to the beach. Lovely hotel, would stay again if I ever came back to Rhodes.

He then carried our luggages on the scooter to the house. The room is very beautifully and uniquely decorated. It matches the knight island. It has everything you would need for home. Bed is the most comfortable one I have slept on during my 14-day trip at Greece. We wish we could stay longer! It will be one of our most memorable stay. Manos went out of his way to meet our every need and help us out when we felt overwhelmed by the newness of Greece. Sambica greeted us every morning with a coffee and a smile and everyone made us feel like a cherished part of the family. It was the best introduction to Greek life we could have hoped for.

The spa bath was lovely (staff have to fill and empty it). The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good with masses of choice and for such a big hotel was well organised. The hotel is perfectly situated - beach, town centre and the old walled city are all walkable.

It’s located kind of off by itself so wear some comfortable walking shoes, but do stay there.

Also a lovely 15 minute walk from Rhodes Town, don't get the taxi and pay 10 euros when you have the best walk in the world along the illuminated castle. Also a great local bar/bowling ally across the street with cheap beer , sport on TV and pool.
