This was my second stay at the Bethlehem hotel. The room view overlooking the city is amazing. Especially morning sunrise. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Especially receptionist Jessica, who was super helpful, translating Arabic to English for me and giving good advise about the city.

Dar Jacaman - In the heart of Bethlehem old city, hotel in Bethlehem

Dar Jacaman - In the heart of Bethlehem old city is located in Bethlehem, 300 metres from Church of the Nativity, 400 metres from The Milk Grotto, and 100 metres from Manger Square.

The property was just off Manger Square, close to all of the attractions The flat was a good size and very clean. We felt very safe The absolute best thing about our stay was our hosts. They were available to help us for anything we needed and even acted as our driver for day trips. When all of the shops shut for a day due to a national strike, they invited us for lunch because they knew we were out of food. They were the most wonderful family and I am so grateful to them for making our stay so memorable. I will definitely be back.

Dar Sitti Aziza, hotel in Bethlehem

Located in Bethlehem, Dar Sitti Aziza offers unique traditional accommodations. Free WiFi is available in the rooms. The room comes with a flat-screen TV, air-conditioning and a minibar.

After 5 weeks of traveling through Europe and Morocco this was the most welcoming, wonderful place I stayed. The most comfortable bed, the best breakfast, and in such a perfect location. Nabil helped me get from Jerusalem during the holiday and to the airport afterwards, and helped me in every other way with directions and recommendations. It was a joy and privilege to stay in his family home, and a pleasure to meet him. THANK YOU Nabil, my family and I are thinking of you and your family, hoping you are all safe, and that in the future I will visit again with them.

Bethlehem is a welcoming and safe city to travel !

Bethlehem is a welcoming and safe city to travel ! It has some local attractions such as the nativity church, mosaic centre, Pro Terra Sancta community centre, market, or just bars and restaurants. The great thing about Bethlehem is that through Palestinian shared taxi services which act like buses you can reach all West Bank sites such as Jericho or Ramallah.

Overall, except the Nativity and St.

Overall, except the Nativity and St. Catherine church, and the areas surroundings Bethlehem which require a taxi (Shepard's field, St. Sava and St. Theodor), there is not much to see there. I initially went by mistake to an area which is a refugee camp, called Aida Camp. This was not the safest experience for a solo woman traveller especially if coming at the evening, if taxi dropping you at different location (at the checkpoint), provided incorrect information by the guesthouse staff in terms of safety, staff not at the guesthouse location at the time of arrival and upset that you are upset that you had to wait two hours in cold weather, in the evening at the doorsteps of the guesthouse. At last, I felt extremely unsafe, especially after the reception staff whom I had to wait for two hours outside at the doorsteps was "sensitive" when I was telling him how upset I was. Scary experience... Please be mindful when you book the guesthouse... Unless you look for a refugee camp experience...

We felt very safe. Plan to return.

We felt very safe. Plan to return. We found in Manger Square the best deals on olive wood. The people were so nice. Some things are made in China and others not. Did not like the kids coming up to us during dinner with gum expecting us to give them money. The restaurants did not either.

I went to Bethlehem during Christmas time, I took a city...

I went to Bethlehem during Christmas time, I took a city tour with a private guide recommended by the staf/ owners of the guest house and he went out of the way to please me on food requests that I had and he was very knowledgeable of the history and the different sites we visited. I couldn't have asked for better weather. The only advice I have is to better travel in slow season, Bethlehem had a sea of tourists and sometimes very difficult to see the important sites. But the best choice was the Herodium Guest House, owned and managed by a local family, I could have stayed one month with them, very warm, helpful and attentive to your needs! I'll do it again in a heart bit.

    Bethlehem was very disappointing.

Bethlehem was very disappointing. There literally are two historical / religious places, and an insane amount of shops. After a few hours spent there, I was genuinely stressed out - the amount of taxi drivers stopping me was ridiculous, the amount of sales people stopping me was insane. What’s even worse, they really use people’s kindness and good heart for their own profit. I would absolutely not come back, nor recommend it.

We visited the Church of Nativity. It has many tourists.

We visited the Church of Nativity. It has many tourists. We were not able to enter the birthplace of Jesus. But it was comforting to note that this is the birthplace of the Savior of the world. Around the manger square there are many restaurants. You can choose what you like to eat. Some of the roads are narrow. It is quite difficult to navigate because of the traffic. It is better tow walk from the hotel. But then climbing up is a challenge for some who are identified as senior citizens. However, it is memorable.

The home is very charming. The history is incredible. Every room has a name and Nabil, explained the reason behind it. Our room was the Well room, with the original well. Very large and spacious. I loved the love both (Nabil and Mai) pour out to his guests. Breakfast is homemade cooking, eggs were the best. The service and care is amazing. Can't say enough good things about them. I highly recommend this Charming home. The bed is super comfortable and the pillows are fluffy. The best it has a spray bidet, which most hotels do not have.

Location is 400m very steep from town square. Owners are really nice Palestinians, We had a greeting with coffee and dates when we arrived. Delicious local breakfasts made by owners. Flat is in the ground floor, behind the windows is a concrete wall and noisy street. Since it ia a very old house with old windows, you really hear everything outside. Toilette, bathroom, kitchen, used but works well. With all the imperfection you feel like you are really part of Bethlehem. I would recommend this place for a shorter stay.

Best accomodation on our trip through Israel and Palestine. Everyone there is so friendly and warm, you just feel fine when you enter. Highly recommended to stay at Ma'an lil-Hayat Boutique Hotel when in Bethlehem. Five minutes to Manger Square, located right in the center. Breakfast was rich and very satisfying. The whole house and the rooms are bright and beautifully decorated. By the way, the house is an old palace. Very beautiful!

Khader was a wonderful host and it was a pleasure meeting him and his father. The location is absolutely perfect in Bethlehem! The bed was really comfy too! I also enjoyed that I was able to walk to a lot of the significant sites and bus pick-ups which made for a much more immersive experience than being in a big hotel or having to take a lot of taxis. I highly recommend if you are fit and able to explore on foot.

We had a really very pleasant stay. The hostel is centrally located in Bethlehem, right on the beautiful Star Street. As neighbors you have a bar, a drinks store and a small restaurant everything you need. We were very warmly welcomed by the staff, got lots of helpful tips and a free tour of the city. The hostel is very clean and modern and hip furnished. I am really looking forward to my next stay!

We had a lovely stay of four nights in November. The room (and the rest of the house) was beautiful and the hotel was a real haven. It is in a lovely quiet part of Bethlehem just a minute or two from Manger Square. Breakfast was wonderful and the host Nabil could not have been more thoughtful or welcoming. I will definitely stay here if I get the chance to come to Bethlehem again.

A wonderful discovery right next to Manger square, a delightful house on different levels, with antiques and plants in abundant supply. The warm local welcome ,hospitality from Jack and his wife , plus the homecooking made the bread house an ideal place to stay. Bethlehem is definitely worth spending z night or two in.

Essentially the experience of staying in a profound and through provoking art museum. This is a nice hotel but does not fall into the luxury category, you are paying for such a unique experience. We loved the public facilities of the hotel including the gallery and the museum. The staff was lovely.

There is one big positive with this hotel, and that's the location. It is very close to Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity. Bethlehem has a lot of steep hills, and with this hotel you don't have to walk as many. Bathroom and sheets were clean.
