More Than Just a London Suburb
Ilford benefits from a train station on the fast line between Liverpool Street and Shenfield. Since Stratford, site of the Olympic Park, is only a few stations away, Ilford rose in international popularity during the build-up to the 2012 Games. However, location isn't all it has going for it.
The Borough of Redbridge is run from its Grade II-listed Victorian town hall, on a pedestrian precinct which includes the Ilford Exchange shopping centre. To the west is another Grade II-listed building: the 12th-century Hospital Chapel of St Mary and St Thomas of Canterbury.
The UK’s only complete mammoth skull was found underneath the high street and is now displayed in London’s Natural History Museum. Redbridge Museum houses more archaeological finds, and the 17th-century Valentines Mansion features a Victorian kitchen and beautiful gardens.
Actually outside of the capital when built, the mansion is now firmly within Greater London and is surrounded by Valentines Park with its boating lake and cricket pitch where Essex County once played.
The diverse cuisine of Ilford’s restaurants reflects its multicultural population, and there are also several good bars and a club near Gants Hill Tube station that is popular with reality TV stars. Nearby Ilford accommodation on Booking.com includes hotels with parking and cheap guest houses.

A vibrant asian neighbourhood, streets bustling with people, loads of eateries to try out, specially the Indian and other asian cuisines. Well connected through Elizabeth line and a good bus transport network. Really loved the place and would definitely plan to visit again soon.

As a black person I felt comfortable among the Asian population and I saw other persons of color as well. The town is lively and friendly. The Turkish food was a blast. The shopping center has almost everything. For black women, there's a hair shop in the main shopping area. The prices are reasonable for London

I love ilford. Lively area with lots of shops. Connecting to other parts of London from ilford is easy either by bus or by train.
It's easy.to get around in ilford. Solo travellers have nothing to fest as ilford is safe. There are shopping malls around where one can buy even luxury brands.
It is located near the Ilford train station with easy access to cental London gor the sightseeing. also all the shops you may need are near byZ
There are also nice places to eat after your busy day of visiting London.
The staff is very nice, polite and super helpful. They go an extra mile to make your stay nice experience.
Yes, the toiletries are lacking and the pillows could be softer but over all it is still good value for money.
It was good for the location we booked it for 2nights went really well. There are lots of shops and halal restaurants, Aldi, McDonald's, Kfc' plus seven kings Station just a 5min walk and ilford station about 10min walk the reviews about this place by other guests about loud music, I didn't hear a thing only when I went on the rooftop smoking area, but not to loud me and my Mrs stayed in room 3. Staff treated us nice.
Was very impressed with the standard of this hotel. Everything was so clean and elegant. The hotel has a contemporary feeling and the staff were friendly. The complimentary breakfast was a bonus too. Also it was a 3 minute walk to the new Elizabeth line at Ilford station made it easy to get into London in 20 minutes. I will definitely choose to stay here again!!
A spacious room with a very comfy bed in a hotel that's in a great location for exploring East London and beyond. The staff were lovely, in particular Maria who was super friendly and extremely helpful - especially when the Booking.com app unexpectedly cancelled my reservation at the last minute!
Would 100% stay here again...
Breakfast - Was good for the price paid
Room are of goodsize
Cleanliness can be improved. Fresh Carpets will change complete look of the hotel.
Though there are no smoking boards in parking area, some intruders are smoking
In the Recpetion, Mr. Raja helped us lot, really appreciate his service. Please keep it up.
The room was small, but cozy, it was absolutely enough for sleeping and hygiene. New towels every day, they even added bottles of shampoo for us later. Nice staff, we didn't encounter any problem. In addition, the hotel is about 2 minutes from the train stop, so you can quickly get to where you need to go.
Clean, Comfortable, great Location close to lots of food restaurants/take aways and very close to Ilford station and Free parking.
I’ve stayed here before and would like to stay here again when I next come to visit London.
Very little to report here. The room was fine. The hot water worked. Otherwise though the hotel was really poor. Too expensive, low quality facilities, barely worth the money it costs given it's in 'London'
Initially was offered A room at no 92 Woodlands Road which was unacceptable, then transferred to Park Hotel which was a bit strange , however the room offers at Park Hotel was very good
Great experience Mary treat us very well helping us in everything.also mention Renata at breakfast very kind with us. The hotel is well comunícate from London..good for quality price
Clean and cosy with a great power shower and nice tv! For a small London hotel, this was really nice, even if the location (Ilford - I went there for work) is not very appealing.
