Preston is a lovely town. I visit because I have close family there, but I wouldn't say it is a hub for tourists. There are fantastic attractions, like Hoghton Tower, and the downtown area is very quaint. When with family, we usually go to a great fairly local pub or other restaurant for lunch/dinner, and there are plenty of those with great food and ambiance. I love going for walks in the local area.

Developing City with a nice shopping and pedestrian precinct. Many eat out options. We lunched once at M & S cafe as we always know we get good VFM there! Overall, Preston surprised us; it was much better than we had anticipated!

If you are a big fan of Wallace & Gromit, you'll definitely love the bronze sculpture of W&G outside Preston Markets. Another must-go is the huge Avanham & Miller Park, it's definitely refreshing to have a good walk there in the morning!

Beautiful Edwardian property well situated on quiet road near public transport links. Superior double room was excellent value for money as you can see it was a beautiful room, but it is not the only superior double room in the hotel so I cannot speak for the others. This is great value for money for Lancashire.
Management at reception desk were very friendly and hospitable, letting us check in early, room service attentive and unobtrusive, with bed and bathroom made spotless.
Booked this hotel at the last minute due to a change of plans. I was in Preston for the comic con that Saturday and needed a place to stay. This is the best hotel I could find at a reasonable price, at short notice. The hotel was really easy to get to and close enough to all the major amenities in town. The room was very comfortable, and the staff were very friendly.
Only 20 minutes walk to the train station and shopping district. I liked the fact that it was away from town, but well within walking distance. Staff was nice enough to allow me to stay in the flat all 30 days rather than switching mid-stay. Very short walk to nearby shop for food, bevvy and sundries. 20 minutes walk to Miller Park (must visit). Quiet location.
Food was really really tasty - served hot. Breakfast was great value for money and tasty. Room was big - great shower, good TV comfy bed - overall very surprised with my stay considering some of the reviews, I wanted to hate this hotel but I just couldn't it was an absolute gem of a find on my way from Scotland to the south as a stop over.
Room was nice, very clean and comfy bed & pillows. All the staff were excellent. We didnt book breakfast as had it in the adjoining hungry horse pub ( worked out cheaper and serves from 8am) Breakfast was also tasty. I found the hotel excellent value for money for £60 on a Saturday night. Parking was plentiful and free.
The food menu for dinner looked lovely. Clean room with lovely big bathroom for a standard double. The bed was large. The hotel was very quiet considering it’s off the M6.
Lovely river views.
Close to Preston for things to do or shopping.
Staff were nice, one particularly lovely waiter at the bar.
Parking convenient. room overlooking lots of greenery around the car park. nice secluded gardens, easy access on ground floor for me to take my dogs in and out. Very convenient for visiting my family and friends in West of Preston. Plenty of space to walk the dogs in the hotel grounds / car park.
We travelled down to Preston from Glasgow for a family wedding. Hotel was only 20 minutes away from the wedding venue so for us location was perfect.
The hotel was beautiful, rooms were lovely, spacious and clean.
Staff extremely helpful.
Would definitely stay here again.
We all were made very welcome. The host was very accommodating to our requests.
Our rooms were very spacious both with ensuite.
The hotel is in a nice area.
A 5 minute drive into the centre of Preston or 20 minute walk.
WE WILL BE BACK. 😍
Very clean comfortable room with tea and coffee and an excellent breakfast. Wi-Fi worked well and staff were very helpful. We will definitely stay again when visiting Preston. Also very close to the train station which was handy.
The Hotel is very well located to walk into the City and it has a good car park to leave your car. The room was excellent as was the breakfast. The staff were friendly and I would definitely stay there again when in Preston.
The staff were friendly and very welcoming. Location was a bit strange being practically an industrial estate but quiet and didn't effect the stay. Would use again for a cheap hotel but would go for breakfast somewhere else
The whole vibe of the place, it was excellent
Loved the fact that the host gave us milk for brews as well as other amenities. Definitely going to book again to stay in the other rooms. Very good value for money.
Friendly staff, great price, great room and superb breakfast. Top value for money but without compromising on what you need from a hotel - I always stay at the Claremont when I visit Preston
The breakfast was very good, though I did not have any hot drinks so do not know how good the coffee is (petrol station next door serves coffee too). The hotel has an easy, relaxed vibe.
The apartment size was excellent, the location was spot-on, being next to the train station and the rain shower head provided was great. We experienced a great stay.
