Seville is a city that lends itself perfectly to just wandering around and soaking up the atmosphere. And there is plenty of atmosphere to soaked up.
People watching is very much a pastime here, and all over Seville restaurants teem with well-heeled locals enjoying a laid-back coffee or cerveza under the shade of a citrus tree.
The city also has its fair share of must-see sights. At the top of the list is Plaza de España whose monumental, semi-circular building is elaborately decorated with Andalusian tiles. Also typically Andalusian is the Seville Bull Ring, though what goes on inside may not be to everyone’s taste. The resting place of Christopher Columbus, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Seville Cathedral is an awe-inspiring structure whose vast vaults provide welcome relief from the heat of the day.
But it’s after dark that things really start to heat up. Streets pulse to the rhythm of flamenco, and with more bars per inhabitant than anywhere else in Europe, there’s no shortage of choice for nightlife.
Just on the outskirts of the city is Seville Airport. Public transport from here provides easy access to the array of Seville hotels, guest houses and apartments that Booking.com has to offer.

Make sure you stay somewhere within walking distance of the central sites. The best thing about Seville was the general atmosphere - lots of people walking around with families, lots of chatter , some music, plenty of places to eat. Good mixture in March of local people and some tourists. Mostly warm enough but take a sweater.
We are not particularly fans but it has an amazing array of churches in high baroque style. Liked the Giralda, loved the smell of orange blossom in the air and just walking around coming across loads of sites almost by accident. Also, all the local people we met were extremely friendly, helpful and kind.

A vibrant exciting city with plenty to fill four days.
A vibrant exciting city with plenty to fill four days. The Alcazar palace and cathedral were very enjoyable. But the most interesting area was around Las Setas ( The mushrooms). A unique wooden piece of architecture which is quite a spectacle and provides a fabulous view over the city.

Seville was glorious.
Seville was glorious. March was a perfect time to visit as the temperature wasn’t too hot (between 20-28 degrees). The Jewish Quarter is stunning, I spent a lot of time here. There is a very relaxed feeling to Seville.
Tips to travellers:
-Pack hayfever medication. The orange blossom pollen is powerful!
-Book attractions in advance to save disappointment and time spent queuing.
-Book train tickets in advance if you wish to visit Cadiz. I tried to book on the day and sadly there was no suitable availability left.
-Wear comfortable shoes, the city is small enough to cover it all on foot.
-Not a lot of vegetarian/vegan options in tapas restaurants. However, there are some delicious veggie/vegan brunch spots around the city that blew me away!

We loved Seville. It is the nicest city in Europe.
We loved Seville. It is the nicest city in Europe. With the clip-clop of the horse-drawn carriages to the sweet smell of the trees it makes the perfect break. All the attractions are very close together and there is a LOT to see. You can wander the quaint streets and be surrounded by many restaurants and bars. The Plaza de Espana is breathtakingly beautiful. A tour of the Cathedral and Alcazares is a must. See a flamenco show and visit the flamenco museum and whatever you do don't miss a visit to the beautiful church in Plaza del Salvador. The best and most rewarding experience is a ride in the horse-drawn carriage from Plaza del Triunfo bliss!
We had the best stay at Palacio Bucarelli, it might now be our favourite hotel in Spain! The staff were friendly and welcoming, and very helpful. We loved our room, the rooftop pool was just perfect during the scorching Seville summer, and the room was very spacious and very well appointed. The kitchenette was very useful, and everything was clean. The communal courtyard and honesty bar is a lovely touch. The breakfast baskets are inspired too - making it even more of a private, special experience. We felt completely at home,
Such a classy apartment. Decorated tastefully and yet not cluttered which we have found with some of our stays. All new decorations rather than cast offs if you know what I mean. Small balcony with clothes line which was very handy. Decent size parking spots in garage which is also a bonus we have discovered in Spain😊 easy walk to the old town, about 20 mins and plenty of restaurants just around the corner on the Main Street. Highly recommend a stay here when is Seville.
We loved everything about this beautiful hotel. Sophie and Olivier are wonderful hosts with exceptional taste. The beautiful boutique hotel has delightful creative surprises in every corner. We felt relaxed and welcomed the moment we arrived. we had been traveling all through Spain and fell in love with this place. The breakfast was delicious, creative and served on the fabulous patio. As artists, my husband and I could not have enjoyed the eclectic style more!
Perfect location for us as we didn't want to drive into the centre of such a busy city and it was only 7 euros in an Uber to Seville old town. Private parking. Huge comfy bed, slept like a log! Small pool but a nice to have anyway. Juan Carlos who checked us in was just lovely, quite amusing and helpful! Good coffee and churros in the adjoining coffee bar. We didn't bother with the hotel breakfast buffet.
I have been traveling in Spain for the last month, these were probably the most comfortable beds that I slept in during that time. It was awesome that it was so quiet as some of the places I stayed in, were very noisy with people talking outside the windows.
I am extremely happy that it had very good air conditioning and yes, I would highly recommend staying here!
Really convenient and centrally located. We are 4 adults travelling through Spain by bicycle and it was fantastic that the bikes were easily accommodated in the central courtyard without any issue. Thank you! The place was clean, had good cooking facilities and the host was easy to communicate with. A great base to explore Sevilla.
The best feature about this place is central air. I don’t think I have ever seen a centrally climate-controlled apartment in Spain. It was amazing. The bed was so comfortable. One of the best beds I have tried out of over 300 hotel stays. The staff was so attentive and patient. Really this place is amazing.
The people were fantastic very nice very! nice staff! 1st time to Spain ( find the whole country very pleasant ) the hotel was as they say the cherry on top of the pleasant experience. The grocery store on one side in the coffee shop on the other made the location very convenient also. 👌☺️👍☕
Good location. All staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. Seeing the hotel had only 2 stars, I was initially a bit worried, but it ended up to be more comfortable and better equipped than other 3- or 4-star hotels we stayed in Spain during the trip.
Excellent location to the old town. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. The breakfast was fabulous with a great variety of savoury and sweet treats. The rooms were small but in keeping with a boutique hotel in an old town location .
It was cozy and located in a central area. Good communication from property manager. There is a small plaza that is good for dropping off luggage if you are driving. Beware like many older cities in Spain, the streets are small!
This is one of the best properties that i was staying during my trip in Spain. It's close to city center, it's clean, it has a small terrace, 2 bathrooms, 4 rooms and a large lounge. Kitchen is new and the beds are very confy.
Brilliantly located in the old town for all the amazing sights of Seville. Friendly and approachable staff. Beautiful hotel, an excellent breakfast. We had a fantastic few days in this wonderful little hotel.
- Extremely friendly staff. The best I met across my trip to Spain which I toured for close to 3 weeks across 5 places.
- Good value for money.
- 24x7 availability.
- The room was very spacious.
Beautifully restored hotel. had the old Seville charm. in the heart of old town.
the hotel had the best recommendation list on Google maps for shopping, sight seeing, drinks, tapas etc
Amazing hotel in the heart of the old town of Seville! You could walk anywhere and it’s one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve been in! Staff is lovely too! Can’t wait to be back
