The Lascari War Rooms are very detailed.
Had a great meal at Legligin - go hungry!
The ferry to Gozo is very easy to use and the local buses can take you all over the island.
We took the hop on/off bus in Malta to the aquarium which was small but full of interesting fish. The restaurant there is surprisingly good.

Valletta is pretty and interesting, the grid pattern with most streets pedestrianised allows for pavement cafes and restaurants and makes it easy and pleasant to get around. Water views on all sides pop up as you traverse the city .Beautiful architecture. The ferries and water taxis are a must to see the other cities.
Interesting and thought provoking museums. The people v friendly and helpful. ... the buses are so cheap and various , no need to bother with the explorer ticket, just get your head round the system and explore this interesting island

Valletta is beautiful.
Valletta is beautiful. The architecture is stunning, there is an abundance of nice restaurants and the Maltese people are exceptionally warm and friendly.
It is, however, rather small for an entire week. Luckily we had a hire car, so venturing to Medina, Gozo, and other day trips was possible. I would recommend having a car, or bus service to explore the whole of Malta as the Northern coast boasts the most beautiful beaches.

We were in Valletta for the beginning of Lent. On at least three occasions the lent parade passed along St Pawl Street with wonderful silver bands heading to St Pawl shipwreck church.

Europe’s deserving capital of culture.
Europe’s deserving capital of culture. The entire city classified as a UNESCO heritage site. People very warm and welcoming, with ease of communication in English. Good a happy mosaic of Mediterranean, Italian and Maltese dishes and delicacies. A wonderful hidden gem in Europe!
This is an nice, pleasant interesting little hotel - it's not a full service hotel - there is no front desk and it can be hard to reach staff - they only use Whatsapp - but the room is very comfortable and clean, very modern - and breakfast was included in my rate - but there is no place to have breakfast - it's actually delivered to your room each morning by one of the friendly staff. And it was always right on time! The location is great - right in the heart of Valletta so everything is easily accessible.
This hotel located in the centre of Valletta with walking distance to shops, restaurants and attractions. The main bus terminal to get around Malta is a 5 minute walk. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. On our last day it was busy and hard to get taxi to the airport however the young man working at reception desk got a taxi for us and cane with us so we can find it easily. We highly recommend Palazzo Rosaria Hotel
An amazing hotel, located on a quiet street, away from the noise of the pubs and restaurants of Valetta, but still close enough for you too reach them by foot. The staff was kind, very capable and incredibly helpful, even aiding us in planning trips around Malta. I encourage you to opt in for breakfast as it was simply delicious, probably the best we've had. All in all, an amazing experience.
The location in Valetta was perfect for our first trip to Malta. Convenient to the sites we could walk to, and easy to call an E-Cab. Also, just around the corner and down 162 steps and a short walk to the nearby ferry. If Ronnie is there when you check in, it will be a great start to your stay. Truly an excellent representative of the hotel at the front desk.
We have stayed at The Grand Harbour Hotel on a number of occasions now. It is in a great location for the Harbour or for venturing into the city centre and has great views from a lot of the rooms. It is a 5 minute walk from the Fast Ferry terminal which links Valletta with the sister island of Gozo in 45 minutes. Rooms are comfortable and the staff very good.
A very stylish apartment in a brilliant location for exploring Valletta and beyond. Just moments away from the water and only a five to ten minute walk from the city centre along the fascinating streets and passageways. The hosts were very quick to respond to any questions we had. Having the balcony as your own little piece of outside space was a real bonus.
Great location. Easy walking distance to city centre but away from the noise. Lots of restaurants near by if you don't want to cook.
Very comfortable apartment in a beautiful sandstone building with a lift, aircon and a washing machine.
Late checkout on day of departure was appreciated as our flight didn't leave until late afternoon/early evening.
Great hosts (Dorothy and Charles) who made us feel so welcome. Our room (Marienne) was very big. More like staying in an apartment, Location perfect, right in the centre of Valletta. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Good and safe area. We loved the homely 'feel' to the hotel. Felt more like staying with friends than in a large chain hotel.
The location was great for staying within Valletta! The staff was phenomenal. The staff responded in a timely manner and helped with my last-minute needs (e.g., getting a taxi within 15 minutes). The hotel is an older building, but we enjoyed its charm.
This hotel has the best location in Valletta . Only a short walk from the bus station and centre . On the doorstep of the Barrakka Gardens . Very friendly staff and reasonably priced if all you want is a convenient base to explore Malta . Free safe
The location is in a very nice neighborhood in Valletta. It is walkable to the ferries, main attractions and is a hotel I will stay in whenever I am in Malta.
The staff was extra pleasant and helpful. I felt very safe and “at home.”
Everyone there especially Tony , Lucia and Jacques were so friendly, helpful and nice. This hotel is beautiful, small , cozy and is located near everything. I would recommend this place to anyone thinking of staying in Malta
Fantastic locality, in the city centre of Valleta. Friendly owner Jesmond, he was ready to help us, for example he prepared an adapter for the plug-in. There is a fridge, balcony, airconditioning = everything you need.
