During my stay I volunteered with the world central kitchen at CAR Centro de Acogida a Refugiados. This facility was right on the rail line that I used to get back and forth to work. There was plenty of places to get a bite to eat. I ate at VIPS many times during my visit. It is very easy to get around the neighborhood via taxi, rail, bus, or walking. Always be aware of your surrounding when you are in areas where there are a lot of tourists and people. Pickpockets are a problem if you are not paying attention. This a wealthy town with an inner core of the old village it used to be. It is ideal to visit Madrid as there is a regional rail line that leaves frequently in comfortable trains leading (in about half hr) to the rail stations of Madrid connecting to the underground (Metro) network ideal to visit Madrid and its many cultural and grastonomic centers.

Double check your room before your leave as you will never see your item again. NONE THE LESS: the Hotel room (apartment) is comfortable, clean, nicely appointed and overall pleasant and enjoyable.

It is 400 meters from the light Metro which goes into central Madrid with one change of Metros. There is food at the hotel and several eating places in the locality. The M40 Madrid ring road is 1km from the hotel, so getting in and around Madrid by car is simple.
