As one of the biggest cities in the world, Mexico City could be better described as an experience than a city. Founded in 1325 by the Aztecs as Tenochtitlan, it was both destroyed and rebuilt by the Spanish in the 16th century. Nowadays, it is the capital of the United Mexican States and its most important economic and cultural center.
The city center’s cornerstone is the famous Plaza de la Constitución, commonly called Zócalo. It's surrounded by the presidential Palacio Nacional and the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral.
The Avenida de la Reforma was built under the brief rule of Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Austria, while the deposed president Porfirio Díaz left a characteristic fusion of French-Mexican architecture. The 1960s saw a demographic explosion that only now is starting to be completely absorbed.
From the Chapultepec Parks and the chic Polanco, to the gay area of Zona Rosa and the Bohemian and intellectual Coyoacán: let Mexico City tell you its thousand secrets and stories.
Most of the hotels are located around the Reforma area, the Insurgentes Avenue and the Zócalo. If you’re looking for 5-star hotels in Mexico City, the modern Santa Fe area has a recently redeveloped business sector.

If you like cities, this is a great city to explore.
If you like cities, this is a great city to explore. It is a big city, so be prepared to travel at least 45 minutes to get from one major site to the next. There is public transport, but Uber in Mexico City is very efficient and reasonably priced. There is so much to see and do. everyone we spoke to, whether Mexican or a visitor, was super friendly. We felt safe at all times and saw no signs of the bad press we so often read about when referring to Mexico City. So, if you want to try somewhere different, plan a trip to Mexico City; it will not disappoint.

I love Mexico City.
I love Mexico City. It is a City full of culture and delicious food. You still have to be careful because people do try to steal from you. If you are a woman, I do not recommend walking at night. If you go to the Mercados, they have great deals. I recommend going to Frida's house and Tenochtitlan. If you need to purchase prescription glasses, they have many affordable ones. I purchased 5 prescription glasses near the Zocalo for $350 dollars and were ready within 2 hours.

Great place. A lot more secure than people think.
Great place. A lot more secure than people think. Very Green. Lovely food and warm people.
Need to know Spanish.
Go to the parks and historic buildings plus museums - fascinating.
We walked most places. Use an Uber rather than hail a taxi off the street - half the cost!

Oh, what a place.
Oh, what a place. It really is a vibrant city, so much to see and so many different places to eat. A huge amount of history old and modern, and the people are very nice and polite. We bought a travel card and used it on the metro, buses, trains etc...a great way to travel and at times, much faster than in a car ( Uber) because the traffic was very busy and, at times, very slow. If you are a first-time visitor, book yourself a guided tour so that you can learn about the place, and also book yourself on a food tour to try out some very good restaurants and learn about street food! We also took a hot air balloon ride over the Teotihuacan pyramids...fabulous!!! On Sunday, the centre streets are closed for residents to walk, run or rent a bike, so we did that too...it was all of $6 to rent the bike for 45 minutes.
Oh yes, and I must mention the wonderful weather....low humidity and sunshine from about 8 :00 am until sundown. Just one thing to be wary off, I was struck down with altitude sickness, but we had some tablets with us, and I took one the first day ( on arrival) and 2 halves over the next two days and I was fine.

Mexico City is an incredible destination with a mix of old-world charm and modern excitement. You can explore ancient wonders like the pyramids of Teotihuacan and visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe for a spiritual experience. Don't forget to venture outside the city to discover charming "Pueblos Mágicos" (Magic Towns) nearby, each offering its own unique charm and cultural treasures. With delicious food, friendly people, and so much to see and do.
For Conveniency, Amazing. When you get at the airport in the evening for a flight and are boarding early morning your next one this place is the best and you can even rent a capsule for a few hours if needed. One full day is 37$ US, it's way cheaper than nearby higher end hotel, it's super clean, there is always someone cleaning regularly, the capsules are not super soundproof but bring earplugs if you want. There are showers, bathrooms.... Highly convenient. Wifi is pretty good also.
The best thing about the hotel is its convenient location. It's within walking distance to must see things to see like Palacio de bellas artes (10 min) and Zocalo (15-20min).
Other attractions on Paseo de Reforma are nearby, with metro and metrosbus stops just across the street.
Check in and check out was eficient and quick, staff were nice.
The hotel has taxi service 24 hours with very minimal wait time which is great, although note that an uber to the airport may turn out cheaper.
The hotel was an absolute bargain! Big, comfortable room which was spotlessly clean in a very convenient location for seeing the sights of Mexico City. The decor is a little dated which may be why it was a bit cheaper, but that really didn't matter to us especially when we were out and about most of the day and just happy to come back to somewhere secure, comfortable and easily accessible. Shout out to Victor on the front desk who was very helpful.
boutiquey/ charming ambience! staff were helpful / friendly, all of that and more. We purchased a car during our stay and the Joel staff directed us to easy parking for the small duration of our stay, thank you!! restaurant food is excellent - simple but well done, and with all of the extraordinary rich cuisine in the area, we appreciated the restaurant at Hotel Villa Condesa for that. highly recommend, we will be back!
Wonderful property with an unbeatable location. The rooms and the common areas are beautiful and well maintained, just like shown in the photos. It’s within walking distance to Chapultepec, Reforma and Zona Rosa, and just a short Uber ride away from Polanco and Centro Histórico. The staff is so friendly. Javier and Juan at the front desk are simply amazing. Will definitely come back next time we are in Mexico City!
The staff is friendly, beds and wifi are good and the Taqueria up the street makes a great quesadilla.($40 pesos!) The best part about this hotel is it's close to the airport You can literally walk across the street to Terminal 1 if you're going international you can walk through Terminal 1 and take the free Aerotren to Terminal 2 quite easily. No taxi required!
Amazing position to visit the city. Really nice and always available staff. They add value to the hotel!!
The breakfast was very tasty, my room was extremely clean. (And I am really demanding about cleanliness.)
And what can I say about the free food and drink at the bar? Brilliant.
The best place to stay in Mexico City.
Can't wait to come back!
The location of this hotel is definitely the highlight! Condesa is such a beautiful neighbourhood and this place is definitely a good choice for a couple of days. It’s clean, modern and mostly quiet. The staff are also very nice and gave us recommendations of places to eat and visit in Mexico City!
Super nice location, close to everywhere, super friendly staff worked there, helpful and thoughtful!!! Secure location in the mall, have Starbucks and McDonald’s downstairs. Best hotel among 3 hotels I experienced in Mexico City. Wi-Fi works perfectly, while other 2 places not, AC works strongly!!!
The best part of our Mexico City 🇲🇽 trip was the hotel.. You can't ask for a better location with a fantastic view from the rooftop. Not only were the staff great, to our surprise we found they offer complimentary walking tour of the city & complimentary coffee shop that even offers beer free 😀
This apartment-hotel has a front desk and you can storage your luggage here. The hotel is located in Mexico City business neighborhood. Safe area. There is a night market/bar street just a block away. Best value for the money we paid for the entire apartment.
Excellent location for business travelers with their meetings in the area. It is a long way from Polanco or Reforma just take that into consideration. Hotel is good, breakfast is solid. Personnel is very attentive and fast. Well organized as a whole.
I stayed there for two nights for business. Comfortable, walking distance from el angel de la independencia and Reforma avenue. Close to a lot of restaurants. Located in a very safe area. The price was considerably cheaper than other hotels around.
Roland at the front desk provided a 5 stars service.
He was on point for recommendations and letting me know about the history of the city.
The design of the hotel is incredible and location in polanco is perfect
The best thing of this hotel is its location. Perfect for families if you want to go around the Condesa neighborhood, everything is conveniently located within a nice walking distance.
The hotel is in a prime location just off Reforma and close to the city's five star hotels and many attractions and restaurantes. The unit is very large, even by Mexico City standards.
very spacious studio in the best part of Polanco. I took a look at most of the hotels around the area, and this not only was more affordable, but was more modern as well
Fine for a quick stay between flights at Mexico City Airport. There is a pedestrian bridge between the terminal and the hotel, so very safe when arriving at night.
