The good reviews this place has received were absolutely correct. Very nice and helpful people and though the bungalow room was probably the smallest I have ever stayed in, it was lovely and perfect for my needs. I always bring a memory foam matrass in my car when I travel around in Thailand because of my bad back, but this time I could leave it in the car because the bed was comfortable as it was.

Fabulous property with the most amazing hosts! Mai and her family go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. And it was! Large, clean room with an amazing view, delicious food, and everything we needed to explore…or just relax. This was my favorite hotel after 13 weeks in Southeast Asia! Can’t wait to come back!
I liked to have riverview. We had two single beds that we rearranged such that they were mire close to eachother. Not perfect but ok. For one person the bed was too hard, for the other it was good. Was great to be on the (small) balcony to look at the river, but there were no seats.
I used the pool, but at the time of the day the two high building on the side avoided all sunshine to warm up the water. We also had to use our own towels from the room, one per person.
Checkout was fast without checking the room. Few hours after we left, we were in Chiang Rai already, staff called us that they we left behind a watch. They agreed to send it to our home in Chiang Mai. Great service that we really appreciate.

I was in town for the first annual (I hope) Chiang Khong Music Festival.
The music was excellent and the roads to and from were perfect for motorcycles.
Chiang Khong is a sleepy little town with just enough nightlife to keep it from being boring.
It is right on the Mekong River and there is a "Friendship Bridge" border crossing to Lao (Laos) very close.
If you need to decompress, this is a good place to do it.
Great place to spend the night for Motorcycle enthusiasts.

Nothing much here but it's away from the waterfront at Chiang Saen and Sop Ruap with their Burmese and Chinese casinos across the river. We drove so we were able to get around to some out of the way places downriver and over to Sop Ruap so the ladies could go shopping. All in all a pleasant place to stay especially for us older farangs.
This is the best run hotel we have stayed in over 2 1/2 months in SE Asia. Everything was perfect. Mai was awesome, the chef is an excellent cook, the restaurant has a chilled vibe, the pedestrianised riverwalk into town along the Mekong was a great stroll, the town is good. We originally booked for 2 nights and stayed for five but could have stayed longer. If you want a quiet and small Thai run place to recharge this is it. We loved Baan Sakuna, Mai and Chiang Khong.
It’s in a good location with restaurants and stores within walking distance. It’s located in the heart of Chiang Khong city. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower had strong water pressure and was hot. Although the staff wasn’t there to greet us when we arrived, we rang the bell as the sign said, and she came right away. She was very helpful and helped us immensely. It was a good value for the money. I would stay here again.
The hotel is located on a beautiful peace of property with great views. The rooms are spacious and really well done. We had a nice balcony and the bathroom was large, clean, and modern. The dining area was also cozy and a nice place to relax. The food was homemade and super delicious. The location near the border crossing is great. We were sad to only be staying once night before we crossed into Laos.

New, quiet, clean and well worth the extra baht over a guesthouse or older hotel in the center of Chiang Khong. I only walked around the property, but walking to Lotus's would be on a small and quiet road to the main highway, maybe 500 meters away. A tuk-tuk could be flagged down on the main four lane road for a short trip back into the center of town (or reception could call you one).
The Hotel owners are also the managers. Super nice people, very good english, a wealth of local knowledge. All the rooms have the same fabulous view of the Mekong River. Chilling on the balcony, watching the river traffic and sipping a cold Chang or a hot coffee in the morning is what is sooo great. Very short walk to the best restaurant tin town.
Room was bright, spacious and clean, with a good bed and well functioning air conditioning. Bathroom was fine, with better than usual counter space around the sink. Front desk staff were cheerful and welcoming. The adjacent 7/11 was very handy. Hotel's location could not be more central, with many places to eat nearby.
Wonderful, comfortable place with Mekong view right from your own balcony, free coffee & small breakfast. Nice & attentive, ready to help owners (once again, thank you for picking me up late evening from the middle of nowhere). One of the best place to stay to remember from Thailand.
The hotel is amazing and its infraestructure is gorgeous. Comfortable bed, great shower and beautiful view from balcony (river side) Unfortunatelly we spent just one night... I wish we had stayed one more night, at least to enjoy the pool.
Such lovely hosts ! They pick you up from Chiang Khong when you arrive, serve delicious food in the evening (not included in the price) and drive you to the border the day after. Perfect location for a little stop before going to Laos.
A wonderful waterfront inn, wonderful charming, helpful owner. Great location in a charming small village which felt very friendly and manageable. If I were going to live in Thailand, I just might choose to live in Chaing Khong.
I booked this hotel looking for somewhere to chill for a few days, I wanted something quaint and somewhere quiet and relaxed. for me this hotel was exactly what I wanted, beautiful scenery and friendly staff!
The Thai food was very good, skillfully prepared and it was a nice place to sit down next to the pool. It's a beautiful hotel and pool as well. The room is also very nice and everything worked perfectly well.
The best on the Mekong riverfront. The staff is really friendly. The food is delicious and price really reasonable. This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in the north. I live in Thailand
We really loved having a dining room and a living room. There was also a really nice coffee shop across the street. And laundry facility in front of our hotel. Loved it.
Excellent PRICE-PERFORMANCE Ratio, Staff and Reception very friendly and professional, Wifi quickly, Free parking at hotel, beautiful Mekong river view
