Lyon is a gastronomic centre with a pretty architectural façade ranging from antiquity to modern day. Place Bellecour is centrally located between the Saône and Rhône Rivers in the 2nd arrondissement and opens out into major shopping streets.
On the banks of the Saône lies the district of Vieux Lyon, a great example of the Renaissance and full of museums such as the Lyon History Museum. Winding your way through the beautiful streets you can make your way up to the spectacular white-stone Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière and look down over the city.
There is a lot going on in the main park of Lyon, Parc de la Tête d'Or, which is home to a zoo of exotic animals as well as various sports facilities and a large lake for boating. Boats of a different description are docked on the banks of the Rhône River; they host parties late into the night.
For a taste of tradition, Lyon’s famous bistros, or Bouchons Lyonnais, provide a cosy atmosphere for some of the best in French gastronomy. Plan your perfect holiday in one of Booking.com’s 130+ hotels, apartments or guest houses.

A great place for a short-stay holiday - plenty to do and enjoy - I would warn people about the metro which we used a lot - I had 3 credit cards stolen and then used very quickly -!whilst this did not spoil our break, it did leave a bad taste!

Within the city there is a long weekends worth of sites to visit. The roman museum was much better than expected.
Many good restaurants.
Getting to and from the sports stadium was much easier than expected, numerous special trams laid on to take fans back to the city centre, and the queues at the stadium were well marshalled.

Lyon is magnificent.
Lyon is magnificent. Went for the rugby and the city did not disappoint. Highlights were the Halles Paul Bocuse and the cathedral on the hill. Wonderful views over the city. Places to eat at other than the market aforementioned would be Le Vieux Lyon and L'Atelier d'Yvonne. Set meals were magnificent as were the pitchers of wine. Probably recommend staying in the centre for a first time visit as you can walk to the main parts of interest easily.

Certainly worth a visit.
Certainly worth a visit.
Very well-preserved medieval city center.
The 19th century leafy quarter with representative boulevards is a nice place for a walk and then sit in a café or one of the restaurants.

Lyon is an extremely tourist-friendly city, with a number of ancient, historic and architectural wonders. The central of Lyon lies between 2 important rivers, the Rhone and the Saone and the confluence between them lies just south of the city centre. The highlights of the visit was the iconic Notre-dam-de Fourviere, the ancient Roman-built Odean theatre and cinema, and the Vieux City along the Saone River. This was richly enhanced through the 90 min bus tour from Bellecour.
Location is perfect for traveling by train and plane! We arrived in Lyon by train from Geneva to the Central Station to which the hotel is very close. Two days later, to go to the airport, we used the shuttle metro. Its station is about 100 meters from the hotel. That tipe of arrangment is extremely pleasant and convenient for arrival and departure by different transportation means.
The hotel is very clean, very new and pleasant to stay for 2-3 nights. Staff is very polite and helpful.
The staff at this hotel was excellent. They helped us get around in a new city, called cabs and answered all of our questions. The breakfast was outstanding! They had a wide variety of food items including some local dishes as well as the usual eggs etc. My only down side is that the room was fairly dark and could have used more light. Perhaps brighter bulbs? It was raining, which didn't help. It was very walkable to old town Lyon and the Bellecour area. I would stay here again.
Very good quality for this price. Room was very clean. Little kitchen has everything basic needs. Also you can drink coffe, tea, hot chocolate for free. Good breakfast for this price. Near the train station Parte Dieu, near chattle to airport, near bus stop, 20 min walking till centre old town. If you have chance to be there sunday, there is market near bonapart bridge, where you can eat fresh oysters with nice view near Sona. If we will come back to Lyon, will book again this hotel.
The location was perfect, very easy to reach the the city center and it was next to the Train Station (very good to take the TGV or any other train to visit cities around Lyon, as well as to take the express tram to the airport). The staff was very polite and helpful. The room was large, modern, comfortable and clean. The ammenities available are from an excellent French brand. For my future times in the city, I'd stay for sure in this hotel.
We stayed for 1 night in March 2024. We were here for a concert at L’Amphitheatre which was very close to this hotel. The room was a good size and very comfortable. The ensuite had a bath and shower. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. The location was perfect for us but it is a bit out of town for those wanting to see more of Lyon. Travel to the hotel from the train station (Lyon Part Dieu) was straightforward by bus and reasonable.
Everything looks pretty recent. The rooms are stylish. We paid about €95 euros per night including breakfast for 2 people, which is pretty cheap for a hotel in the centre of lyon.
Great location, just a few minutes away from all the lovely restaurants. It's a very fair 3 star hotel with a great location. Staff was very friendly as well, providing us with an alternative parking garage close-by as their private parking was full.
Staff were very helpful and friendly! Love the breakfast buffet. The view from the restaurant is amazing! Love that hotel is walking distance to old Lyon and place Bellecour. Love that minibar is included and replenished daily. We got the suite room. Decor is not updated but has its charm and what’s important is it looks, feels and smells clean!
Overall, this was a good hotel in downtown Lyon. Our superior room was a good size. Others in our party booked standard rooms, which were small. Modern amenities, good wifi, mostly helpful and friendly staff. Note the roof top restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday. We didn't take breakfast, so we can't comment on that.
Suite comfortable, spacious and clean. It has everything you need.
Personal was really nice and polite.
Breakfast was good (had better ones in other hotels though). A bit pricey in my opinion.
Overall, really nice hotel for a business trip in Lyon!
This hotel is very close to Gare Part Dieu de Lyon, which worked well for me since I was arriving from Geneva. It’s also close to the city terminus of the Rhone Express which goes out to the airport. Convenient, too, for trams and Lyon’s Metro.
Nice, simple, clean and cozy hotel on the great location. Comfortable beds, great rain shower and free water. Great stuff, especially the young dark haired lady in the morning shift, the kindest person we met in France.
Very good value on booking.com. Clean basic hotel. Comfortable bed. Excellent A/C.
In a residential neighborhood of Lyon (8th), covenient shops and restaurants around. 10 mn by metro from city center.
Modern hotel, medium size room and good location.
Clean room, friendly staff. Subway very close, one short block away.
About 20 minute walk to Part Dieu Train station, same to downtown Lyon.
I loved the quaint feeling of the hotel and that it was in the centre of Lyon, close to the old town, the rivers, restaurants, cafes and bars. The room was very quiet as was the hotel.
Everything was great.
Staff was welcoming and responsive.
Good professional combined to hotel location in center Lyon provided an excellent experience.
