I found Dunoon to be a pleasant and friendly town with all the amenities i needed. Cowal is a beautiful part of Scotland with tremendous opportunities for outdoor recreation. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys the outdoors, yet is close to Glasgow and its amenities.

A trip to Benmore gardens was worthwhile and the surrounding area is outstandingly beautiful. Dunoon it.self is beginning to feel a bit run down and neglected, very limited eating options at night even at the weekend where you strugle to find anywhere after 8pm still serving food apart from carry out food .

Castle House Museum Gardens are beautiful and well worth the hike up to the flagpole for the view. Food and service at the Lorne Bar are excellent St Ives Hotel has a beer garden worth checking out at weekends and right next to the water. Easy to walk around. The caravan we booked was excellent.
The caravan we booked was excellent. It was a well earned break from home care of elderly mother . The site was gorgeous lovely walks tranquility was everything our little dog also had a great time with so many walks in different areas. Trip alas was to short but it's all we could get time for .love to come back though. Janice Chloe and husband

The receptionist (Mimet) was more than helpful throughout our stay from offering a hairdryer to serving a great dinner, drinks and breakfast. He was attentive, welcoming, friendly and helpful the whole time. Our bedroom had a great view across to the loch with double aspect windows. Wifi and kitchen facilities are good .The flat is very quiet and the key safe makes entry easy . Ross is easy to communicate with and we have enjoyed 3 stays so far . The flat is opposite the promenade and swimming baths . Morrisons and the cinema is close by . Dunoon has plenty of entertainment available . It's wonderful for outdoor walkers ,cyclists etc.
