I have had a property near to Platja D'aro for over 20 years and make regular visits always taking in Platja D'aro on a few occasions as it has a great choice of restaurants. It has a great water park for kids although it is a little expensive. If you are inclined to visit a little further afield there are many great beaches and small coves and restaurants that make the Costa Brava so exceptional but you do need a car. Taxis are expensive and public transport is almost non-existent

Loved the area, town was buzzing with lots of shops and restaurants and funfair. Very busy at the weekend, hard to a table in a restaurant without queuing.
Not very English oriented, not many English speaking people so be prepared to try to learn a bit of Spanish. Beach at Playa d'aro was coarse but with lots of water sports and restaurants on the promenade. Coast was gorgeous with lots of walks and coves to discover. Easy walk to S'agaro with nice small town and gorgeous sandy beach, lots of water sports.

Great restaurants with lots of choice, Mexican, Italian etc.
Great restaurants with lots of choice, Mexican, Italian etc. The steaks were great.
In the Argentinian Steak House. Nice clothes shops. Also shops with normal sea side stuff. The road with shops etc is set back one line from main beach. There is a long main beach and also the small pretty cove we stayed in.

A great resort - wide selection of shops, restaurants & bars.
Safe cycle & walking tracks & beautiful clean beaches.
Sea swimming not suitable for small children as water level deepens very quickly.

Very well cared-for and clean beaches.
Very well cared-for and clean beaches. Small stones are strangely massaging for the feet. Water is warm (in August). Big drop-off in depth from the edge of the beach, so swimming right away. Jazz festival on the beach on Friday evenings in summer.
The room was exceptionally clean and the view was amazing. The room looks like it has recently been updated and is in great shape. The coastal view was just what we were looking for. We were there in the off season and feel the value for the room was great! The bed was extremely comfortable and the towels were plush and nice. It seems they are doing some upgrades to the exterior of the hotel regarding the patio & pool area. The lady at the bar was very pleasant and helpful.
Nice hotel, affordable price, friendly staff. Free parking available on the street. Within a short walking distance from the center/beach. Comfy beds, mini fridge, but no tea/coffee maker. Bathroom has a floor-to-ceiling double window to the bedroom, which has an almost-closed enclosed blinder that you cannot reach, quite a strange design - you can almost see through into the bathroom shower from the bedroom.
Total surprise. This is a new hotel with beautiful decor. The staff was very helpful and made suggestions for dinner that was fabulous. The room was large and bathroom was stunning. The bed was heavenly and the decor throughout was well thought out. The hotel was in a downtown a few blocks from the beach. There were great shops as well as places to eat and drink.
Charming hotel right on the seafront. Nice continental breakfast every day listening to the sea. The pool was small but warm and fine for our 4year old and we had it to ourselves most days. Staff were really friendly and when we did have lunch/dinner here it was excellent too. Right outside are some Roman ruins as well and the town is only a 10min walk.
it was an amazing experience in Costa Brava hotel. Everything was perfect! Location, service, free secured parking for our car. Unfortunately, we didn't try the hotel's food because we found it a little bit expensive however there were a lot of tourists in hotel's restaurant each day.
The breakfast was amazing, lots to choose from! The room size was great, it was just my kid and it was very roomy! The bathroom was very clean and over all we were happy with our stay there! We couldn't use the pool because the hotel was closing for the winter but it was a nice size
The staff were so lovely. The interior of the hotel was incredible and so luxurious. The dinner buffet was excellent value - the food was well above Buffet quality. We had an amazing room with a sea view, and the beach was just below. We will definitely come and stay here again!
The hotel had all the basic facilities, with cozy rooms and a nice swimming pool.
Location is great. Booking a room with sea wiew it's worth it.
Great Location. Different "calas" are within walking distance.
Everything was perfect! It is the second time I go and everything works perfect.
Super friendly staff, amazing breakfast. Super clean. I love this hotel and it is my place when I visit Platja de Aro.
Great breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, pasteries, cheese and lots of ham +++
It wasn’t a luxurious hotel, but very good value for the price we paid. Location was suberp.
Very good location, beatiful and nice place. The hotel is good, has a good garden, very comfortable place. Nice beach and nice pool too. Everything is correct for the price.
The staff were amazing and the location is just in the beach! Had luch and dinner once at the hotel and the food was amazing! The fish i had was the best i have ever had!
The apartment was impeccable and super well organized, the location was perfect if you want to travel around La Costa Brava and have some night ambiance as well!!
Nepresso coffee in the room. 😋 Yummy! Beautiful location right on the beach. Older but well maintained hotel. Had a very enjoyable stay. Would love to return!
Proximity to the beach makes this hotel very likeable.
Very nice hotel, mostly renovated, and clean. Staff polite and accomodating..
