Breakfast was not included in the room. However, we enjoyed excellent coffee, tea, and baked goods in the hotel lobby/coffee shop. It is an amazing comfy and elegant space to start our day.

The view is amazing you can see all the way to port Townsend from every point in the room. The double tub and bed are set up to see out the large windows. The gardens are well kept and used in the really great food at the restaurant. This property is very well thought through and integrated.

Christmas visit so nothing was open.
Bedroom and hotel were awful.
The room was tiny and bed covers dirty
We spent $240 for 2 nights in a tiny room and squished in parking place.
We will visit a different town next Christmas.

Totally authentic, not touristy, historical town!
Totally authentic, not touristy, historical town! The people and shops are so lovely. The views are beautiful. A genuine coastal town with friendly, kind town folks. The food was amazing. The people made you feel welcome. The downtown area had so many cool businesses and places to eat. Easily navigated by car or by foot from your hotel. The original brick buildings were works of art as was the city’s integration of its history and pride. Ferry is right there to take to one of the many islands. We stayed Labor Day weekend wishing we had booked linger. We were totally surprised it wasn’t overcrowded or overpriced at all for a holiday. Stayed at the Manresa Castle Hotel which was a treat in old architecture part of t he history of the city. Loved our stay and loved this city!!!!!!!!! Great place to get away from the super busy of your life and just be!

Port Townsend is a wonderful picturesque town and if you like wooden boats, it is high heaven. The town has poor accessibility overall, and the Wooden Boat Festival has very little accommodations for mobility challenged people. The food is excellent, and the scenery is stupendous. We ate at the Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant which is owned by friends. Next time I go to the Wooden Boat Festival, I will sail there and stay on my boat rather than try to stay at a hotel. If you can't walk long distances, it is a real problem.

Port Townsend is a lovely historic town right on the water!
Port Townsend is a lovely historic town right on the water! You can't beat the views and luckily you don't have to miss out. The town has several cut outs between buildings that allow you access to the water. Plus, the town and beaches are very pet friendly! If you love history, maritime history, scenic water views with sailboats off in the distance, yummy food and unique shopping, you'll LOVE spending time in Port Townsend.

A very historical town, Port Townsend offers amazing views of Puget Sound. It has a variety of interesting main street shops. It feels like a very safe place. On street parking was not difficult to find. It was difficult to find a restaurant at lunchtime that was not full, however. It is very easy to walk the length of the main street and enjoy the historic architecture. Lots of art galleries and boutiques. One should not miss the drive out to Ft. Worden for the historical fort and the amazing beach there! Also, a short ferry ride is a nice thing to do.
The stay was wonderful. A great location within walking distance of everything. The room was lovely and the staff was very helpful. My niece loved the loft bed and the deck was beautiful and spacious on the seaside view room. The kitchen was a decent size with pans and dishes. I would suggest maybe adding some measuring cups and a mixing bowl. The room said pet friendly but the staff was good to check and make sure the room was very clean as my husband and I have allergies to animal fur. Thank you for the beautiful stay!
Next time, I would opt for a larger room. A single king room was a little too small for 8 nights. The hotel was clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The breakfast was so convenient and just enough and a great way to get an early start on our days. The staff was SO nice. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. The location can't be beat!
A beautiful heritage home with views of the bay, surrounded by a quaint neighborhood where deer roam free. The gardens are tended to perfection. We enjoyed the farmers market and walking only a few blocks to Port Townsend for a movie and dinner. It was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.
Location is great! Breakfast was a little light and actually too late for me, had to get going early. The hotel is undergoing some renovation I understand. It could use new carpets, etc. but very comfortable place and good value for money. I'd stay again.
Well restored and excellent cleanliness. Staff was very pleasant. Large rooms with very nice historic decor. Very good location right within the historic district in beautiful Port Townsend. Exceeded our expectations. Would definitely stay there again.
This is a nice, simple and comfortable hotel very well-located in the Port Townsend harbor area. The room was well-sized and a good value. The covered porch offered a nice view of downtown (and the parking lot). Staff was very accommodating.
The house is very nice and pet friendly, just like being at home for my small dog. The neighborhood is quiet, the backyard is spacious and borders the forest, very nice and scenic. Relatively easy to access main roads to exploring the area.
Whatever the site lacked in terms of friendliness of desk staff, awkward layout of room, was more than made up for by location and view. We had a delightful time in Port Townsend and would consider this place for a night's stay again.
I was in room 18. I happen to be there during a very hot period. The room was quite uncomfortable as it faced the alleyway and had little or no breeze into the room and only one little fan. The location is great and the hotel quaint.
Cozy, charming B&B in a charming town. Pauline and crew maintain a beautiful and clean home for travelers. The breakfast in the morning is amazing. The location is a short walk to Port Townsend downtown and waterfront.
A fantastic period hotel in a wonderfully central location in Port Townsend. Friendly and warm bar/reception. Staff friendly and informative.
Beware no lift if you have heavy bags but a minor inconvenience
My wife and I loved the location. We walked all over downtown port townsend. it was also very close to a local gym we went to in the mornings. The bishop is a really cute and unique hotel.
The architecture and history of the hotel intrigued me. It was like travelling in time and an experience unto itself. We had a lovely view of the Salish Sea. Got a good nights sleep.
