I knew the hotel did not have fantastic ratings but it looked like an “old world Palace hotel” so I took it. I took the Half-Board option and I was happy I did !
Hotel is clean. Yes the room feels old style like the 70’s but that’s the charm of an old world hotel. This hotel was a Grand Dame decades ago. I had a great sea view. The hotel is super convenient for stays at the Thermal Baths which is just below the hotel. There is some sulfur odor coming from the Thermal Baths so take note.
Breakfast was good and ample. What sucked was the coffee ! It was a Nestle Powdered Coffee Machine. Seriously ?!
When I stayed here the town was all but closed down so me eating dinner at the hotel was a great idea. High quality food and service.
The hotel is in a great location downtown. For beach goers this is NOT FOR YOU unless you have a car to go to other beaches.
Grand Hotel Mediterraneo offers beautiful views of the coast of Salento, from its terrace and some of the rooms. It is 98 feet from the thermal spas in Santa Cesarea Terme.

We actually loved everything about it. Our host, Tonia, was really great! Readily available to answer any questions, and always very helpful. The place was actually much better than we anticipated from the pictures. I would definitely stay there again! It’s a great place! It was a great day bass for visiting other towns in the area. don’t pass this place up!

It is not as lively as other Southern Italian cities.
It is not as lively as other Southern Italian cities. It felt a bit like a town for the elderly and it reminded me of the movie 'Youth'. Though quiet, it could be exactly what you are looking for. Just know that Otranto or Monopoli for example are lifelier than Santa Cesarea Terme...

Bagni Caicco is a beautiful place to enjoy the sea. The villa of late art director Carmelo Bene is an intriguing place. I suggest to move to Castro for eating. Driving from a village to another takes always longer than you could expect !

This beautiful historic villa was the perfect place for our healing escape to the Puglia region of southern Italy. The staff was fantastic. Our Daily breakfast (which was included as a part of our package) never disappointed. Also the location with views of the sea was convenient for walking, exploring and our daily visits to the Terme.

We visited when the festival was on which had a fantastic fireworks display. Santa Cesarea Terme is a small town itself but a great location for exploring the coastline of Salento. In Santa Cesarea Terme itself there is the beautiful Porto Miggiano beach with crystal clear waters. We also visited Castro Marina, Porto Badisco, Torre Sant'andrea, Grotta della poesia etc all within a short drive. You do need a car for getting around to all these places. We took a boat trip from Castro Marina to see the caves and this was a great way to see them.

Great location, fantastic staff, well maintained hotel, simple nice rooms with spectacular view (if you took the ocean facing ones). We loved the great rooftop bar. Very nice breakfast area. Lovely plants everywhere. Impeccably clean.
Kudos to all the genuinely friendly and helpful staff that makes you feel at home and make the stay so pleasant. The gentleman and the lady at the restaurant are very friendly and attentive to their client's individual wishes.

The house is very well equiped including kitchen. We found everything needed inside: air conditioning, dishes, coffee maker and coffee, washing machine, washing liquide, spare towels etc. Furniture and decoration is relatevely new and in a nice vacation mode. All.was clean and tidy in the house.
Single room was really comfortable though small. Perfectly positioned in the centre of the town just above the main sea access and thermal pool. Breakfasts are served in front of the hotel where you can see the sea. Staff really helpful. Would come back!
Beautiful setting with amazing views. The hotel is very modern . Our room was very spacious with lovely bathroom and very comfortable bed. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We only stayed for one night but will definitely be back next year !
We felt very comfortable in the rental. It was quite spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. It was just a hop, skip, and a jump to the beach. The host was very kind and gracious. What a retreat!!
Nice view from the balcony.
The breakfast was excellent and the hotel staff were very helpful, professional and friendly.
The rooftop bar is great for watching the sunset with a tasty drink.
Large parking.
It is a very comfortable hotel, clean premises same as the room, every details were well cared, swimming pool was amazing despite it was raining the day we sat there, we enjoyed it
