Absolutely stunning area of Costa Rica. A very nice and friendly vibe in the area. No safety concerns at all. Beaches.....just "wow". Do not miss this area. Stayed for 6 nights...could easily have stayed longer.

Good beaches.
Good beaches. Espadilla, even when crowded, is large enough that you can walk a little and get a fairly empty beach if you prefer. A car is a must-have if you plan to explore the town, but you're not missing much if you stay in a resort with beach and jungle access the whole time. The most expensive restaurants are good, all others are nothing special and just okay to not be hungry. You'll get better treatment as a foreigner because people expect tips, so definitely take advantage of that if you are one.

Mid-February is very hot and humid for this area - 90 degrees Fahrenheit everyday. We really enjoyed visiting the park and seeing rainforest wildlife, swimming at the beaches (watch out for strong rip tides!), and familiarizing ourselves with an area we had never been to before. Be ready to pay tourist prices (you are in a high tourism area - and it is so for a good reason), but if you can get an apartment with a kitchen, visiting the Quepos farmer's market and being able to make some of your own meals make this area more affordable. Glen's on the beach has the best chairs and his whole family is so kind and helpful. Going into the park for the first time with a guide is highly recommended, but so is going a second time on your own at your own pace. Get there first thing in the morning, because it heats up and gets busy after 9 AM. Eat at the Falafel Bar, like everyone says, because it is delicious (the smoothies are really refreshing). The public busy is easy to navigate, so use it and explore! Favorite activity in the area, other than the national park, was by far the Night Damas Mangrove Tour with Iguana Tours. Explore and have fun!

The room and bathroom was large and balcony overlooked the jungle, monkeys and birds came to the balcony everyday
The area is so lush with beautiful flowers and trees. The beach area and ocean was really nice. The way down to the beach was easily accessible, the path down has ropes on both sides to help.
Swimming pool was lovely surrounded by tables and umbrellas could have meals there if chosen. Excursions easily booked by agents and very informative.

Outstanding facilities.
Outstanding facilities. The grounds are amazing with a nature trail, many amenities, multiple swimming pools and restaurant choices. Our only suggestion would be for a more detailed description - perhaps a printed booklet - of the various excursions you can book from the hotel.

Quepos is difficult to walk around due to narrow hilly roads in area but one can take bus. Taxis can be difficult to summon. Beaches are nice. Food was really good.
We went on guided tour of National Park. This none of us liked. The tour guide spent the first 30 minutes in the very front of ticket area. He seemed to be trying to fill the 2 hours allotted. Granted, without him, we would not have seen much. The crowds are incredible. Not in a good way. When the guide is showing you a dragon fly and small lizards, that’s not what we are there to see.
This was the most incredible hotel we've experienced in Costa Rica!
The rooms are stunning, super clean and practical, down to the smallest details. The hotel's grounds are beautiful, especially with the lovely river-like swimming pool. Additionally, the location is ideal – close enough to all the restaurants while still being secluded enough to fully enjoy the solitude of the surrounding forest.
Additionally, the hotel owner has a wonderful personality and is extremely welcoming.
This is a perfect location!! Right next to the national park (no need to mess around with parking) and a 3 min walk to the beach! Relaxing and reading by the pool was wonderful. The breakfast was a highlight, with a large buffet of American, European, and Costa Rican breakfast foods. The staff here was amazing and very attentive (one day our AC was buggy and they fixed it immediately). Everything was very clean and we loved our stay!
The property itself was nice! the location was only 10 min away from Manuel Antonio National Park. The view! you can see monkeys from your balcony! loved the experience! You could see a sloth hanging on a tree from the pool! and it has its own private entrance to Biesanz Beach! We also enjoyed a couples massage and the happy hour from 3-6pm by the pool! Food was excellent and offered a great variety! I would stay here again for sure!
The staff was very helpful. There is a nice, reasonably priced restaurant on site. The pool was nice with a shallow part that worked well for the 2 small children that we brought. They allowed us to keep our car there when we went to MA Park for our tour. The hotel is a short walk to Manuel Antonio Park, as well as many restaurants, and Espadilla beach. Even though it was in the midst of all this activity the rooms were quiet.
The location is up on the hill so there is a beatifull view of the ocean . The room was very comfort and have a beautifull view too. All we asked from the crew we got quickly with a smile, they were very nice and helpfull. We saw some tukans, monkeys, other birds...all in the area of the hotel. The infinity pool is very beatifull. The breakfast was good. There is free shuttle to the beach and close to Manuel Antonio Park.
The beds were extremely comfortable, the room was very big and with two children was perfect. The hotel provided room clean once a day and we demanded for a kettle to prepare our youngest daughter'meals and they gave us. The staff was very kind, attentive amd full of envy to help. The location of the hotel.is beachfront (espadilla norte playa), in dron of the bus terminal and very close to.Manuel Antonio Park.
Excellent location if going to the park. Not far from beach- walking distance. Lots of bar & restaurant options nearby. Nothing fancy but adequate & a good price for Manuel Antonio. The hotel staff was helpful- especially with parking. Be aware that the park is closed on Tuesday & services are limited in hotel. For example bar & restaurant closed at dinner time & no access to ice for your room.
Peace of Paradise was the perfect place to stay in Manuel Antonio. The room was much larger than I expected and equipped with a kitchen area. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. It was near a supermarket and a bus stop, which you can take to get to Manuel Antonio National Park. In terms of value for money, this was probably one of the best places I stayed in Costa Rica.
The staff of this hotel is extremely friendly and exceptionally kind! I also loved the views from our room and the size of our suite was incredible! Breakfast was nice, but the produce used was not always the freshest, compared to other same-priced locations we stayed at in Costa Rica. Wifi was stable and the parking was comfortable enough. Overall a good stay to visit Manuel Antonio.
Very big and comfortable bed, which was great, very unusal in Costa Rica. Place was clean and spacious, WiFi and aircon worked well, staff was friendly. Strong and hot shower! A lovely place to stay close to the Manuel Antonio park, lets you get there early in the morning and beat the crowds. From the porch you can watch Scarlett Macaws and other birds. Definitely recommended.
The stuff was incredibly nice and eager to help. They were also ready to do an extra service for us (laundry - after one week in Costa Rica we really needed it).
The location, you don’t even need to go to any national park, cause you can see all the animals without leaving the hotel.
The place is still under construction, but it didn’t bother us at all
The bungalows are really nice, huge window with a sea view. Beach is really close and that is hard to come by in Manuel Antonio, as this is rather mountainous region. We even walked to the National Park from the hotel, it's not that far. The staff is very positive and helpful. The drinks in the restaurant are pretty nice as well!
Very friendly staff which is not always like this in Costa Rica. Just good people, not faked friendliness. Great location, a few steps from the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park and the beach. Simple but very good breakfast with many options. You don’t need your car, like usually in Manuel Antonio.
- never seen an organized fridge like this in a hostel
- pool
- sparkling clean every day
- good breakfast portions and tasty
- very fast wifi, good for working remote
- lots of books
- close bus stop
- in the nature
one of our Top 3 places - best value for money in Costa Rica for sure.
Great location, right on the beach. Right next to the entrance of Manuel Antonio Park. Can take the shuttle for 50 cents anywhere. The rest of the hotels are on the hill and spread far apart
