It was a basic room with no frills. The bathroom was actually very nice though. It had a lot of room which was perfect for hanging our wet gear after skiing and the shower had nice hardware.

Juan Carolos Arciniegas, Gen Manager, gave me $200 off my prepaid four day stay due to Bed Bugs and huge Bed Bug bites. But when I went to check out he lied bold faced and used intimidation tactics too beller out "I never said that!" and refused to honor his "word". Once someone uses LIES as a rebuttal, you know there is NO HOPE for a fair and honest resolution. Had I known he was a liar I would have taken a ton of pictures of the filthy room he moved me into - filth under the beds, bugs, food, and when I looked for a small crystal and pulled the desk out away from the wall, there were dead flies, dead spiders and food particles - this hotel is FILTHY and if Bubba Carlos promises you something, GET IT IN WRITING!!!

Weed was the appropriate distance to stop on a very long drive between Spokane and San Francisco. We didn't spend a lot of time in the town itself, just long enough to sleep and back on the road. What I would caution travelers about is that most of the restaurants close early and, if you arrive later, your only options are McDonalds and Subway.
Also, by daylight - beautiful views of Mount Shasta.

Weed is a rustic, mountain town with basic services. The Hi-Lo Motel had a cafe on site (which was popular with the locals) and with a good bakery/coffee shop across the street. A good location whether traveling north/south on 5 or traveling inland towards Klamath Falls.

Weed is a pretty small mountain town.
Weed is a pretty small mountain town. Not a lot to attract visitors from my view. It is very hot here in the summer and the heat lasts well into the evening so having an air conditioner would be a priority. If you have a reason to me in Weed, like hiking, photography, golfing, or sight seeing then it is a great place for that. But don't expect much of a night life or tourist attractions in town.

I enjoy visiting Weed, and the surround towns: Dunsmuir , McCloud it's a nice drive from Oakland,Ca. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, with My. Shasta as your backdrop, it's heaven on earth.
This hotel is up the mountains near Shasta (view from the street) in the tiny towne of Weed. It is right near I 5 so easy to get to. I looked up a few motels in town and was not impressed. The others had lots of bad ratings. My expectations were minimal, hoping for clean sheets and a shower that worked. It exceeded my low expectations by a mile. Clean, smoke free, good shower, tasty in room coffee, clean sheets, clean rug, comfy bed. WiFi was a little intermittent. I have booked another night for my return journey.
The woman who checked us in was gracious and helpful.
The room was very, very clean. We've been staying at Motel 6 because they don't have old fashioned bedspreads or carpeting that always feels dirty. Here, even those 2 things seemed plenty clean.
Several guests had doors open, sitting outside and were friendly.
OH NO - I just realized we forgot to leave a tip in the room - I'll send one!!!
The Hi-Lo is very basic, but in my handful of stays here, it has never felt rundown. The facilities, our room, the parking, everything was always very clean and well maintained. Bed was very comfortable, and the diner is good. This isn't a destination hotel, but you're a 10 minute drive up to the base of Shasta, and a good, economical stopping point if you're traveling.
Still suffering from sticker shock from the high hotel/motel prices on our trip around Northern California. This motel provided the best bang for the buck and had good reviews. The staff were friendly and responded to our needs quickly. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Parking was crowded, but we were always able to get a spot.
One of the reasons for choosing this hotel was that it had breakfast which means a lot when you're on the road. The breakfast was exactly as stated and I think most people could find something that they could eat. It would be nice though, to see more of a fruit selection and not delicious apples which are anything but delicious.
The location was beautiful. Not too far away from the main town of Weed, with a gorgeous view of Mt. Shasta. Place was very nice. The kitchenette worked well and so did the fridge. Pool was wonderful to swim in as well. Perfect for families looking for a place for a trip. WIFI and satellite TV worked well.
It was a very quick day but the location was perfect the room and bed was comfortable. Dog friendly. Parking right outside the door.Staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. I just wish the restaurant had opened at six when we hit the road. Great place I would do it again
The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast was adequate. During this pandemic, all hotels serve less than satisfactory breakfasts. So Sis Q is comfortable to more expensive hotels at the moment.
Got there at 9:30, restaurant was closed, and "Bonnie" asked me if I wanted a turkey sandwich. Got it for me in minutes...
Everyone was friendly, down to earth and helpful. If I go anywhere close to Weed on a trip, I will stay there!
We loved the bed. It was very supportive and comfortable, more so than many or most hotel beds. Also roomy, with the right number and variety of bed coverings to be able to adjust the temperature to our needs with ease.
Their was very little of any thing at all, other hotels and this one in the years past had better, the front sliding doors were not working and hard to open, just going to the dogs ....
The hotel stocked the room with adequate towels, coffee, and shower supplies. All was clean and safe. Cable TV worked well (although many channels with nothing to watch).
