Orhei is a very nice small city.
Orhei is a very nice small city. It exceeded my expectations. Besides monasteries and old places that can be visited in Old Orhei (Orheiu Vechi), the most pleasant experience I had here it was at the Chateau Vartely winery. After visiting Cricova, where we have been treated like s..., the staff at Chateau Vartely treated us like kings&queens and provided us an amazing experience even when they had a few other events taking place that day.

My review is tainted by our hotel canceling our reservation and then grudgingly allowing us to stay 1 night because they had overbooked. We were packed off by La Maison to a terrible place and had to then make arrangements to return to Chisinau earlier than expected. We did go to Chateau Vartely in Orhei which was excellent but I'm afraid our visit to Orhei and our vacation was ruined by La Maison Hotel and the very unpleasant staff there.AAnonymousUnited Kingdom
