A suburb of Munich, which is nevertheless well connected to Munich by metro and other transport. Its main asset is the Gashing Research Center together with the European Southern Observatory Office. It will always be a recognized travel destination for education and science workers.

The friendliness and efficiency of the staff was excellent both at reception and in dining area. We'll be very happy to book IBIS on our next trip to Muenchen. The closeness of the U-Bahn station is especially helpful.

I arrived when Garching bei Munchen was celebrating Burge Woche. What could be more fun than Bavarian food everywhere and lots of local beer, not to mention the music and the booths selling everything. Yes, I have lived in Garching bei Munchen for 6 months and worked at the Technical University of Munich when I was there, so I might be biased in having enjoyed myself in the many restaurants, at the concerts and at the beer garden that is just outside Garching, but, in general, as a small town, it is worth a visit, if only for the strawberry picking or a picnic along the Isar.

The room was very comfortable and spacious, the hotel is very conveniently located in central Garching just a couple of minutes from the bus stop coming from the airport (about 35' travel total U-bahn and bus), and even closer to the U-bahn station to get to central Munich. The breakfast was fantastic with a huge selection to choose from and really excellent quality. I highly recommend !PaulSwitzerland

The rooms are perfectly clean and you may request kitchen equipment (upon request and additional cost). Anyway, there's an espresso machine (Nespresso) but you need to have your own capsules. Free hot drinks in the hotel's lobby. I would choose this hotel once again if I happen to be in Munich! Thanks to the staff members for all the support in such a difficult stay in MUC!

Great bathrooms and loved the shower. Everything seemed to be brand new. We are at the restaurant and was served by Sara. She was great and loved her disposition. All in all, a great stay. I highly recommend this hotel. Close to a train station and close to Munich by rail.

Lots of thanks to the receptionist that was able to give us a room early in the day. The area is very nice and clean, 15 minute drive to the airport. Facilities are stylish and quality. The whole vibe is very hipster.
