Located upon a hill in Kato Stalos is the family-run Renieris Hotel. It is just 656 feet from the beach and 5 miles from the famous and busy city of Chania.

We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is clean, with a few restaurants and markets in the area, takes 20min by bus to the closest big city - Chania. The receptionist was also very cool and helpful and recommended us nice tours on the first day.
Cretan Dream Royal is a new 5-star hotel offering luxurious accommodations on Kato Stalos Beach, with a bus stop to Chania city 328 feet away.

The staff was so great, very friendly, professional, so willing to help. The site is beautiful. Great spa services. Close to Chania but far enough out to be quieter.

The hotel is old fashioned, but very, very clean. And is right on the beach, with its own organized umbrella's/sunbeds which is wonderful. Surprise BBQ 's are often done.
There's free parking too.
This hotel offered our family everything we needed for a fantastic family vacation.

We like this area due to the beach, the local tavernas and the hotels. Kimatogi is our favourite taverna with delicious specials every day and our favourite hotel is Renieries on the top of the hill, with beautiful view and with the family athmosphere.
You can easily go to Chania with the bus which stops many places in Stalos. From this area the tourist buses also can pick you up easily if you want to visit Elafonissi, Balos/Gramvousa,Samaria Gorge but also to the other area of the Island.
Or with going by car it's also easy to get around and it's near to a junction to the Speed way.

Too quiet not enough to do and see.
Too quiet not enough to do and see. Restaurants not typically Greek mainly serving pizza and pasta. Couldn't get coffee before 9.am. There was no bakery. A lot of properties very run down. Very few general retail shops. It was better to catch the bus into Chania

We booked this hotel to be close to Chania but were very pleasantly surprised about what Stalos had to offer. We spent more time there than expected as it had a good selection of restaurants for both lunch and dinner. Lovely beach and a short(but busy) bus ride to Chania. An ideal base.

Located a few minutes y taxi from Chania town (12 euros each way) however you could choose to catch the bus from a bus stop opposite the hotel. Some restaurants and taverns around the hotel but not many choices

Stalos is mainly low rise and less heavily developed than further west. The live music at Dionysus taverna was excellent. The breakfast at Evilion bistro is also excellent and very good value.
There is good walking up into the hills through the olive groves. Lake Agia via Pano Stalos and Kirtomades (turn left at the bottom) takes about 1.5 hours though the cafe is closed on a Monday.

We only stayed for one night as we arrived late in Chania and needed a hotel close to the airport. The apartment was really nice and clean and satisfied our needs. Our plane was delayed and the owner was waiting for as to check in late. We could park a car in nearby car park. There was a lovely swimming pool and a garden. Beach only half a minute walk.
The location is great: just on the beach with sun beds and umbrellas for the hotel guests. 10 km from the Venetian harbor of Chania.
The room was clean and the personnel is very friendly.
Around at walking distance, there are good restaurants, markets and cafes (some of them on the beach).
The beach has gold sand and clean water.
There is no breakfast. Rooms have a corner kitchen with small refrigerator: very useful to preaper your breakfast or your meal.
Rooms have a small patio where to enjoy sea breeze, breakfast and meals.
Well. What can I say. After my very last minute booking I got a call from the lovely hotel manager Nikos, who sent me some additional pics of the room I stayed to make sure that I'm completely happy.
Then after the first night I went to the pool bar and met the wonderful Georgia, who's taking care of every single guest with her heart and serves delicious breakfast, snacks and refreshing drinks. Georgia is the best!
A place with a very nice and calm atmosphere right next to the beach. Coming back asap!
We definitely recommend Aristos Apartment. Location is close to everything (by car) - just a few minutes to the beach and everything you may need - but at the same time in a very quiet area, so you can relax and enjoy the silence while being just a few minutes drive away from shops and restaurants.
Maria is a wonderful host, we felt very welcomed and we will definitely go back to her apartment when in Crete.
Apartment was extremely clean.
100% recommended!
If I could give 11 as a rating I would. Everything here was just amazing, from the room design to the cleanliness, the amazing view and location ( you were right on the beach) to the breakfast and wonderful Katerina and Andreas as hosts.
fist trip with our 7 month old son, they went above and beyond to meet our needs and requests. make sure you check out their gift shop, the ceramics are just wonderful. This place will always stay in our hearts. Thank you
The property is beautifully decorated and in immaculate condition. It is very well equiped and the pool is just wonderful. It is located only a few minutes walk from all the amenities and the beach.
The best experience of our holiday was to meet Stelios and Aliki (the owners) who treated us like family and who made our first family trip to Crete truly unforgettable. We loved every minute and we will be back for sure!
A great boutique stay right on Stalos Beach, 10-15 minutes outside of Chania. The owner was very easy to communicate with and her mother Mary who was present at the property was very friendly and made my stay pleasant and enjoyable. The ground floor apartment was very spacious and clean. The garden is very well kept and the suites have beach umbrellas and lounges for the guests. Great value for money.
Very good breakfast with rich selection of hot and cold dishes. Two medium pools and beach just across the street. Few supermarkets available nearby, bus stop next to the hotel (Chania bus), mini golf and some good restaurants (I especially recommend Krinos and Kosmas). Very friendly and helpful staff - most of the things can be arranged through the receptions - car rental, excursions, laundry.
The location across from the beach and set back just enough to have peace and quiet. Pet friendly, the mattresses had a pillow top and was very comfortable. One of the bathrooms had a bath tub (but no drain plug) not a big deal as I rigged up a plug. Extremely clean and roomy. Each bedroom had air con, but the main living area had a ceiling fan. We will definitely return.
Everything was just perfect, the hotel, the garden , the food and the most of all , the sunset.Magnificent view over the sea .Every day we eated fresh figs from the garden and picked lemons and limes for limonade. The staff were nice and cleaning was done daily. In a word, if we will come to Crete again, this hotel would be our first choice. I highly recommend it!
The large pool
Not like other properties 90% sealed with concrete - there is a lot of green around the pool and some older fat palm trees and other older trees
The management is very kind
The breakfast offers everything you need
The restaurant prices reflect the typical price level between different restaurants on this island
The location is central in Stalos, very close to the beach and also the restaurants of Agia Marina are within walking distance. The house itself is new, clean, well-functioning, stylish and has everything our group of two families needed. The host is really nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
It is located on the beach, but there is also supermarkets and restaurants close by. There is an amazing view, pool, great bar/restaurant and good beach. If you want you dont have to leave this place at all and it would still be a great vacation.
location is very good, out of crowded villages and streets, very nice view and everything of restourants/markets/beach is for 5-10 minutes by car and definitly most strategic place for visiting west side od Crete
The location is absolutely perfect of this hotel, right on the beach. Our balcony was literally above the sea. The room was big. The public transportation to Chania was easy and cheap.
