Great end of season skiing but expensive for a family.
Great end of season skiing but expensive for a family.
Our accommodation was clean and good location but lacking in some amenities.
Depending on where you stay it can be quite a walk to the lifts.
If you want a more quiet stay go to the Blackcomb side. However most of the restaurants, shops etc. are in the village.

Over 4 days we enjoyed the convenience of shopping and skiing nearby. A longer time is needed to explore the mountain more and the wide variety of eateries. The opportunity is also available to bike or hike but we did not have sufficient time.

Ski terrain is great, including side- and off-piste, however lift ticket cost is way over the top at CAD 250 per day (compare that to European superresorts like Les Trois Vallees which are 40% the cost).
And the snow quality is unreliable - 23/24 was the worst season even according to the locals, I was just lucky enough to get fresh snow at the start of my week.
Won't be coming back to Whistler as the snow quality is highly unreliable, will go to Utah or Canadian Rockies in the future where the snow is more reliable (and tickets are cheaper) or Europe where it's much cheaper to ski!
Whistler would have to halve the cost of lift tickets for me or my family to come back.

Visited at the end of the season.
Visited at the end of the season. No snow at village level, but there was still powder/snow at the top - 5-10 inches news during our trip. The ticket prices are still way too high, but if you can pre-purchase early in the season, it's not too bad... Due to the season being not too great (snow wise) the owners should reduce ticket prices. Nevertheless, the demand is still high, especially at the weekend. The village supermarkets now offer very reasonably priced items (cheaper than Victoria!) and there are still good value restaurants around the town. The museum's and galleries etc + shops are great for non skiers.

I love the Fairmont; it is a great place to stay.
I love the Fairmont; it is a great place to stay. The short walk from the hotel to El Caminetto restaurant was lit up with large "Christmas deer" assembled to show us the way! A magical place at Christmas time.

Whistler is wonderful all year round, whether you're a local or from far away, it is full of adventures, scenes, activities and beauty. I love wandering the Village, exploring Creekside, coffee at Mogul's, people watching from literally anywhere. We had lunch at Hunt & Gather which was great with many options for veg/vegans. It was the end of the low (first weekend of November) season so it was really quiet, but for us that was a plus. Oh and we got sweet treats at Pure Breads which were delicious. Expensive but delicious.
We loved the room - comfy, clean, and modern-looking. They had a rubber ducky placed in the bath tub for our 3-yr-old and he was thrilled. There was also a stuffy on the bed, which made us feel that the preparation of our room was well-thought out and was done with care. The staff members were also very friendly and accommodating. Wr love that it’s right in the Village Center and has easy access to the gondolas and all of restaurants and boutiques, so this is definitely going to be one of our go-to hotels every time we visit Whistler. :)
A very comfortable hotel with a lovely pool area. We were a family of 5 in a 2 bed suite, which we found spacious, clean and comfortable.
Excellent showers and Aveda toiletries.
Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The location is ideal for families on the edge of the village centre. It is away from the parties and noise of the mountainside but still a short walking distance from everywhere.
We enjoyed so much the hotel. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and daily housekeeping service let us feel like on the best vacation ever.
The hotel is the best location for the ski in and out. We didn’t need to worry to catch the bus or walk to the house after the ski day.
Our son loved the game room and hot cacao after the ski date. It was complimentary. We highly recommend it. 10/10
My recent stay at this hotel was fantastic. The location is incredibly convenient, with easy access to the shuttle bus stop, supermarket, and village. Despite the room not being very large, it was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
Our room was lovely, with the best shower of our whole month-long trip. The location is unbeatable, especially I'd imagine in ski season. We were visiting in September, but nonetheless, it was within short walking distance of the village. The hotel itself feels very new and contemporary. I would highly recommend a facial at the spa - it was terrific.
Room was basic but clean. Exactly what we needed for one night when in Whistler. It was a bit of a drive to downtown Whistler and after an evening tour, there was no parking available at the hotel. Front end staff helped us arrange a spot, however there is not enough parking in the parking lot for all of the cars there.
This hotel was so lovely - the rooms were spacious and beds were incredibly comfortable. Having the hot tub, pool & sauna was a lovely bonus and great for sore muscles after a big hike! The location is also perfect, just across the road from all that Whistler Village has to offer - we will definitely be back!
The convenient location of the hotel as it was situated in Whistler village.
The room we booked was much nicer than in pictures and very spacious and clean! We loved our beds, they were very comfortable and the studio was really clean.
Steps away from Whistler gondola and renter shops. The Black Pub downstairs serves quite good Japanese food among others. Very nice hotel staffs and they can keep your ski equipments downstairs. Daily room services.
Nice hotel in Whistler Village, close to the village but still quiet. It was really nice to have a kitchenette and a balcony we could actually sit on and use. The jacuzzi tub in the room was a little odd but fun!
Really everything, it was a great hotel in a great place with great staff. I like the ease at which you could step out of the hotel into Whistler Village and access to the mountain and more.
We had the deluxe king room which was very spacious, had all the amenities we needed and comfy bed. The hotel is located steps away from all the action in the heart of whistler village.
Beautiful resort in Whistler, tonnes of activities within the hotel to do throughout the day.
Loved the pool area and sauna. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway!
Right smack in the middle of Whistler village. I slept like a baby for two days, comfy and quiet. The best value for your money. Def highly recommend this hotel.
