Hameln used to be a lot nicer many years ago, I was based here from 1996 until 2010. Now there are many new apartments where historic buildings used to be and the suburbs have become shabby. It has lost its charm.

Nice small town with an agreeable city center (Alt Stadt) featuring the typical classic German building styles. Many cosy restaurants and shops are available. Parking is easy by underground garages (tief garage) although not well maintained but yet for very reasonable prices. A visit of one or two days should be enough.

The town is a beautiful old town that was full of interesting facts, sites and very clean.
There was a great music festival on which created a nice party atmosphere.
Absolutely lots of eating and drinking locations.

On a wet Monday night arrival it seemed a little dismal, bars closed until 17.00 and a limited number of restaurant available - but with the feel of Christmas on Tuesday it really opened up. Very beautiful and love the way a shopping mall exists in the old town without being loud and revealing itself.
Of course the stories are what Hameln is all about, and loved he fact that the Pied Piper's lasting gift to the town was more than today's tourism. The Allied troops knowing of the 'ratcatcher' story, left the town untouched and enabled it to be so cute today.

A must when in Hameln is a stroll through the Old Town with its historic old buildings if you are into architecture.
A stroll by the Weser River is a must.
There are many cafes or inns where you can pop in to have a coffee, wine or a pint of beer.

Hameln was a real discovery as we did not expect the city to be so amazingly charming. What we really appreciated: lots of beautiful houses with intricate designs and pedestrian streets to appreciate them fully. People are very kind and eager to help. Unfortunately, most of the information provided for tourists is only provided in German.
The location suited me as it was close to both the centre of Hameln and to the people I came to see. The room I had was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. There is plenty of room for luggage and an excellent wet room with a modern shower. Breakfast was impressive with a vast selection of German fare, too extensive to itemise here. For the traveller that literally just wants bed and breakfast, this is an excellent choice.
A great hotel right in the middle of Hameln's adorable Altstadt! The staff was friendly, the breakfast was delicious (and Covid-safe), secure parking (and bike parking) was available, and the family room with 3 bedrooms was wonderful (although if stairs are an issue, note that it on the top floor). We had a great stay. Wish the weather had cooperated and we could have enjoyed the roof-top patio for longer.
We rented the 3 room appartment for 1 night for our family of 5. This was very spacious with good mattresses, more than enough towels, 2 TV,'s And even a baby cot. Bathroom could use a little face-lift. Though it is functional it is a little worn down and iin contrast with the beautiful design of the restaurant and toilets down below in the hotel. All accounted, good value for money.
Stayed here many times over the years.
Business traveler, safe, covered parking downstairs or limited parking directly in-front of hotel (lucky to get one of these spots), Convenient location for Hameln old town and easy access to industrial areas by car, only 2mins walk into town once parked up. Classic German clean, functional business traveler chain hotel. Can't go wrong.
Good location very close to the centre of Hameln. The apartment is very large with a fantastic terrace which we enjoyed, it is traditionally furnished which may not be everyone's taste but we did not mind. It is superclean, good wifi. Parking in garage is available at an extra charge. The owner is easily contactable. Overall no complaints.
excellent location set amongst bars and restaurants and medieval buildings. Room brilliant although a little noisy mid evening with children on football table outside. Booked in for breakfast which was excellent. The manager let us park outside hotel entrance, if not check parking before you go.
very clean, which is always a nice feeling.
Bathroom clean and spacious.
nespresso coffee machine ...so bring your pods
The position of the hotel is great.
Parking is also easy and safe, underground and secure , just across the road from the hotel.
The breakfast was very good with coffee, juice, bread, cheese, jam...
Parking in front of the hotel, very convenient.
City centre 10 minutos away walking.
We were able to ckeck-in earlier than expected.
Staff very kind.
Probably the most wonderful place I've ever stayed at. Huge and beautiful, perfect location and with lovely views also. Will definitely book again if I return to Hameln, I wish I would've stayed longer!
Great location with fantastic views over Hameln. Great decor and comfortable hotel. Room fantastic with a added bonus of high fidelity sound with Bose speakers throughout the main living space. Superb.
The place is very quiet in a nice location nice surroundings close to the Weser river and the old town of Hameln The staff in in general very helpful and friendly
