We didn't spend much time here, but easy flight from Istanbul. Convenient for the balloon rides, but not directly in the town they fly from. A preferable location if you want a little more peace and quiet, and enough choices for dining. Lovely to walk around and spectacular views from many parts.

Uchisar provides great access to all the sights of Cappadocia. Our stay at La Casa offered the perfect mix of cave/building and was in a great location. The breakfast was excellent. The close by Janti Cafe is also excellent, highly recommend. One thing to note is that google gets a bit confused with the one way streets, but once you get the hang of navigating in Uchisar, it is very easy to get around and you can see the castle from many of the nearby hiking areas.

It worked great for us.
It worked great for us. We had a rental and wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the busier Goreme. If you don't have a car and are staying in Cappadocia for the first time, perhaps Uchisar is not the best option since it will limit your walking distance options of restaurants, shops and tour agencies, we loved it though and found it to be the perfect homebase to explore the region. It seems like some of the more exclusive hotels and restaurants are also in Uchisar so it depends on what works best for you.

Small town area next to the rock castle.
Small town area next to the rock castle. Quiet, with lots of restaurants. The top of the mountain has more shops and art galleries to see along with cafes. Once you step out of the area it is mostly desolated and filled with caves. There is lots of new construction going on in the peripheral area. We ate at the statehouse around our hotel and it was great. A bit expensive but gourmet like treatment. The open air museum is only 10 min away and the castle is right in the center of Uchisar. Slightly away from the crowd of Goreme, Uchisar was just right. The property was close to the castle which made it convenient. The pigeon valley entrance is a km on foot so makes for a great walk. Personally between Goreme and Uchisar, I preferred Uchisar as it's quieter and had more luxe options. Also the views were amazing and we spent quite a bit of time sitting in the terrace taking in the country air.

Uchisar is an incredible small town with a beautiful medieval section that is wonderfully thriving. Clean, friendly, with laid back dogs roaming the streets, and the home of Uchisar castle. Pigeon Valley has its own mystique and overall the town touches something inside of you that makes you want to stay longer.
The quality of service we received during our stay in this hotel was never seen before and we have been traveling around many spots in the world! The staff is super friendly, the management meticulous to the smallest details. We have been assisted to make reservations for attractions in Cappadocia, arrange for taxis, secure our PCR screenings in the hotel itself.
Rooms are clean, breakfast served (tailored to our requirements) on the hotel's rooftop with a breathtaking panoramic view. Much recommended!!!
Beautiful, quaint hotel dripping with Cappadocia decorations and nicely made stone house. Nestled at the top of the village, steps from the Castle, with views of Pigeon Valley and snow-capped mountains. The owner and staff were very attentive and eager to please. Recommendations for dinner and ceramics were top-notch.
The highlight of our stay was sitting on the terrace next to the wood burning fireplace, sipping excellent wine and local cheese staring at the lights and the stars. It was magical.
The place is amazing
Close to the uçhisar castle and the area with restaurants and all. The staff is more than amazing , helpful and hospitable
They were so nice and helped us book ATV tour with them.
The room is super cosy and it’s a real cave
It was such an experience.
The breakfast is really good and for me
Uçhisar wins over Goreme because it’s less busy and it’s just a shuttle bus away from goreme for 15 tl only so you can go in 7 mins if you like
But make sure to come back before 7:30 am
Extraordinarily well located, right next to Uçhisar castle, this gem of a hotel has everything you need : a beautifully presented breakfast, great customer service, a fantastic view over the valley. And the hammam which you can reserve privately is just the cherry on the sundae :) I have seen very few hotels offering such prestations. As we had an early departure and could not enjoy the breakfast on our last day, they even prepared us a lunchbox to go :)
It was our second stay at Kistar Cave Hotel and it was an even better experience. The location is incredible -- overlooking pigeon valley with balloons seen in the mornings. The room had lots of space and amenities. The breakfast spread was amazing with a few different choices each day. Everyone connected with Kistar wanted to make sure you enjoyed your stay. You will have to come and stay to fully experience the hospitality you will feel here.
Everything is perfect !
I don’t think I can find other hotels like Ages On Cappadocia in Uchisar or even In Cappadocia
This hotel is beautiful ! Location ? ,10/10!
The owner of the hotel is a nice person!
Receptionists are nice and helpful!
Other staffers like the lady who prepared breakfast or the ladies cleaning the room. They are kind and nice.
Of course I will never forget the little baby doggie ❤️.
Outstanding cave hotel experience in Cappadocia! At the Wings hotel we were accommodated by Hakan and his family who treated us as friends and made us feel at home. Every morning included a traditional Turkish breakfast and the service was excellent. The venue is in the more authentic part of town located on a hillside with rooftop overlooking the landscape with most incredible view to the balloon flights.
Location was good, fabulous views from hotel. Staff was very friendly, always willing to assist. Breakfast experience was exceptional, special thanks to Murat bey for the outstanding, personalized service. We needed to check out early as we had an early flight to Istanbul and the staff very kindly served us a full breakfast before we left. Hotel is very close to the centre of Uchisar.
Their Turkish breakfast was amazing, it was a real treat to get it every morning. Staff were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and caring. The bedroom was very comfortable. The location was great, off the main drag so it was always very quiet but also a very short walk to Uchisar castle. We had a rental car and it was super easy to park on the street right outside the hotel.
Uçhisar is THE best place to stay in the Cappadocia area and this hotel sits above the famous Museum Hotel and shares the same great views across the valley. All the staff are excellent particularly Mehmet on the front desk. Breakfast was huge and one of the best I had anywhere in Turkey. All the rooms are great but I chose a cave room to get the authentic experience.
We stayed at King Suite and very enjoyed it. Amazing stuff made our stay unforgettable and we felt like at home. Very nice location in the heart of Uçhisar (as for me, this city is much cozier and less touristic than Goreme). A room was clean and very spacious. At the sunrise you even can catch ballons from the beautiful terrace where they serve a lovely breakfast
The hotel is super cute and cozy; the room was spacious and clean; Önder and Murtaza were very friendly and helpful with planning daily outings; the location was good, close to Uchisar Castle, very quiet; the breakfast was exceptional, lots of variety and fresh, with the best coffee I had in Turkey, the cutest kittens, and beautiful views from the terrace!
I loved everything about Hu of Cappadocia, from the friendly staff, to the beautiful photogenic spots inside the hotel, to the amazing breakfast. There's absolutely nothing not to love about this hotel and I will definitely come back when staying in Uchisar. The bed was also the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on, in my life, I'd love their supplier.
The staffs were exceptionally helpful and attentive to our needs. The Turkish style breakfast was superb! The rooms were clean with white crisp bedsheets. The view from our rooms were breathtaking lovely. Highly recommend this hotel. It is located in Uchisar, hence very quiet and rustic. My young adult daughters love this place so much!
Uchisar Kaya is always my first stop visiting Cappadocia. Softest place to land and get past jet lag with the world class views and excellent hospitality. I’ve never been disappointed and Melve at reception was wonderful and gave me the valley view room I had requested far in advance. Superb.
Dream stay in the beautiful village of Uçhisar. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is complete and varied and the view of the hot air balloons is special. I thank Ahmet and his staff for their availability and hospitality. I recommend everyone to stay in this hotel.
Small room in the beatiful Uchisar, close to the castle (10 minutes by walking), wifi, good breakfast, possibility to use the swimming pool located in an other hotel, kind staff, huge bathroom
Great location - rooms are clean and comfortable, short walk to the town center and Uçhisar Castle. The staff is friendly and helpful - definitely would recommend for a stay in Cappadocia.
