Very beautiful grounds, well maintained. Stella and her husband do a wonderful job hosting, she was such a sweetheart! She was very helpful providing local tips, made us coffee in the morning and helped us order dinner for delivery. She also introduced us to a local tour guide who provided us with additional tips, and tour recommendations.
A good location for a hassle-free stay in Chachagua, Blu House Nature & Tours is an apartment surrounded by views of the city.

Loved it! Stayed 4 nights. Came fully equipped with everything we needed. I love the location. Gave a genuine village experience. There are shops literally next door, supermarket and taxi stand around the corner, a park and even pharmacy.
My favorite thing was the swing in the yard ☺️

This was the best family lodge we have ever stayed at. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The food was great, we felt very welcome, the staff was extremely kind. I was worried about being outside of town, and “stuck” eating the food there - but I wish I could have their meals each night after we left the lodge. Plus, the drinks (coffee drinks $4, cocktails and smoothies $6-$7) were so affordable. We missed this place after we left to Samara where everything was 30% more - even the little sloth stuffed animal we bought in the gift shop. We enjoyed all of the onsite tours - farm tour was a highlight. I would come back to try the herbal workshop. And heard the chocolate tour was great.

It looked exactly as seen on their website. It was stunningly gorgeous and extremely comfortable. Our room felt immersed into the jungle, which was exactly what I wanted. The staff were extremely friendly. The food was incredible. We loved the accessibility to La Fortuna but far enough way to be removed from the chaos. There is a very short walk to a gorgeous natural waterfall that is definitely a MUST see! During our stay, we felt as though we got a glimpse of the natural beauty and culture of this beautiful country.

Cons: Location is pretty far from town making transportation costly to get around.
Suggestion: Have a car when staying at the location.
