Small English town, nearby Sheffield. It's a good place to visit if you wish to see how real people in England live. It's nothing like the big cities. However it's not a place I would stay for more than 1 night...Few hours stop at most.

I stayed in the centre.
I stayed in the centre. Driving in the outer areas had nice three bedroom semi-detached houses type properties. In the centre more terraced houses.
Lots of shops, quite a lot of retail park area in the centre.
An Aldi next to an Asda, a large Tesco Extra a mile away. A McDonald's restaurant with drive through, a Burger King, a bridge where underneath you see River Don with swans if you are fortunate.
Some parts a bit dull, few less nice houses amongst some terraced houses.
A nice mosque in the central area.
Petrol seems a lot cheaper in central areas where they compete with supermarkets than outer areas like Rawmarsh where they have less competition.
Town has population of around 260,000.

Well did not go sight seeing, needed some where over two nights, due to Darts competition at the Magna centre. But due to the so called studio apartment upset me and the wife, and found a travel-lodge in Sheffield instead.
We booked this hotel for a family break. It was fabulous. Very friendly and helpful checkin. Huge rooms with two double beds in each room, much bigger than we expected. We'd prebooked the swimming pool too, and that all worked well, with super friendly staff. The super friendly staff carried over into the breakfast area , where we had a fab breakfast. Breakfast included all the usual items, plus freshly cooked poached and fried eggs. And super friendly staff. Fantastic stay.
Claims its boutique but it's not really it's just got a silver bed with some tacky plastic buttons on the basic and no option for breakfast another claim there is a restaurant they're not open and the place to seems to be run by a bunch of teenagers I just like to play the music loud, Rotherham it's a sad town with a dead city center and it's gonna take a lot more than this hotel is to rise above what is currently going on with ever stay there again it was a gamble
I miss my coach from London Victoria and I tried to reach the hotel but no one was there to answer call for the whole night and in the morning I called Booking.com to arrange with them maybe I can still use my payment but they are not reachable.
On arrival to the hotel next day I show them all my call and in order to be able to use my down payment but they totally refuse they said the money as gone you have to rebook another one
Easy parking and a very large room that was clean and had everything needed for an overnight stay - lots of tea and coffee, hanging space and even Netflix! Staff were very friendly and great cooked breakfast. Understand that the hotel has recently been taken over and it's clear that the new owners are making a concerted effort to turn around its' fortunes. For the price it is exceptional value.
Arrived approx 16:05 , and was greeted by a smiley receptionist who explained about the electricity card, free wifi etc.
The room although advertised as a Double could have easily been marketed as a King due to the space to the side of the bed.
The location was approx 10mins into Rotherham Centre in the morning and was easy to find!
Clean and basic hotel,
Nice staff at the reception and clean hallways with.good lighting. Good access control with a keycard. Clean shower and toilet, nice and fresh beds. For every visitor a free coffee or tea with a water boiler in the room.
Great stay for attending events in sheffield arena, only a 15 minutes drive away.
Everything things was nice and clean the staff were all more then friendly and very helpful especially the lady at the reception 😊 would highly recommend this hotel to anybody we got a Full English Breakfast which was out of this world will definitely be staying here next time I'm in that area
It looks like the hotel is in the middle of refurbishment and the parts that have been done look good, we only needed a bed for the night so was ok for us ,the beds were comfortable the rooms well equipped and staff were friendly
The Hotel is in a great area for the M1 plenty of parking
The staff are polite and very friendly and helpful.
The room was comfortable and the bed was very comfortable room 103 if you stay.
I will stay again if in the area.
Very cosy boutique hide away hotel, bar had reasonable drinks prices and car parking locked up at night. Centre of town location was good. Room was small my adequate. Staff very well presented and helpful
The room was clean and smelled nice. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was brilliant. It's in the centre of Rotherham, so couldn't be better. It is the best hotel in the area.
modern hotel that is kept very well.
Relaxing lobby with comfortable seating. Rooms are light and airy and very welcoming. The staff are very helpful and welcoming.
The room was clean, and bed reasonably comfortable. It is 10 minutes walk from the town centre on a main road, with a Tesco Express opposite, which was very useful.
The hotel was nice and had a lovely lounge and dinning area room was a nice size and bed was comfy safe were helpful and friendly and welcoming putting me at ease
