Nice little town with a cozy city center, good food places, some nice shops and a rather relaxed athmosphere. And also a nice parc in walkinf distance. A stay here is highly recommanded if you wanna escape the big cities around, but still feel like being somewhere interesting.

A small town with some pretty architecture. There are plenty of shops and eating places. It's easy enough to navigate around the centre and it feels safe at night. It's easy to get there from Brussels on the train.VinceMillettUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
It's such a good base for touring Flanders.
It's such a good base for touring Flanders. You have Brussels, Ghent, Brugge, Antwerp and lots of other interesting towns within less than an hour by train. You can even get down south towards Kortrijk, Mons and Ieper and back in the day, or to the coast, although you have to watch the times of the late evening trains. You usually have to change in Ghent or Brussels. It is a lovely little town in its own right with a compact centre about 10-15 minutes from the hotel and full of churches, cafes and bars including several on the station square. The best one is in a side street to the right of the station opposite the cycle park. There's a market on Saturdays and a LIDL for everyday shopping.

Not far from the Channel ferries, but a much nicer place to spend the night than many of the towns on the coast. The market square is beautiful and there are lots of places to eat and drink. They seem to have quite a few local events, so there might be something extra to seeDianeUnited Kingdom

Location is in the center of the old part of Aalst, but the apartment itself is very quiet and peaceful. The owners are personable and care that your stay is the best possible.

Considering its location to the station and the bus stops there was no noise at night. The staff were very helpful in showing us how to locate the bus we needed and in buying the ticket from the kiosk. Location is great and the town of Aalst has plenty of places to eat, shops and a large market on Sunday.
