The best part of the facilities was the staff. I interacted with three staff members (“KateLee” by phone and Christina (sp?) and a gentleman in person, and they were all great—helpful and good communicators.

I stayed one night for my son’s wrestling tournament and although staff was overwhelmed with the number of guests, everyone I interacted with was so kind and helpful. Cleaning staff, front desk, dining staff, and bar tender were all so nice!

I am from this area but have been away for about 21 years.
I am from this area but have been away for about 21 years. Downtown is so much nicer than it used to be. We were able to walk to and from the Beet Exchange - super cool, awesome food, beer and staff. We actually cut thru Bronson Park - which I would have never done as a younger person
So many restaurants, craft brew, little parks. It was so nice to see. We hit the Crows Nest for breakfast in the morning. Awesome place but get there early! By the time we left at 10 there was a line waiting.

Awful the concierge floor which I booked as a single female business traveler was like an adult male fraternity party yelling moving from rooms which all had their doors propped open then they moved to the concierge priority bar/room making it impossible for anyone else to use I felt intimidated and left the property I was unable to change rooms. No manager was on the property

I was so upset with the poor service and accommodations at the Henderson Castle Inn. I stayed only one of my three nights , multiple text, left, voicemail and dropped by on the Monday and they would call me back. No one picks up the phone. I still haven't heard from them and they have refused my refund for the 2nd and 3rd night, which I didn't stay there. Booking.com has relayed this to me

My children and grand children live there - I am a bit biased. Seemed hard to find a place to eat dinner, either the restaurant closed after lunch or had long waits for seating. Then service was slow. I am sure that covid had something to do with that.
It was surprisingly quiet for the location. Solid little hotel for anyone that needs to relax comfortably near Kzoo airport. And right across the road is an amazing pinball pub! Good beds and one of the better breakfast bars i've seen. The best part was the amazing shower. Highly reccomended for business travelers, couples, and single travelers. It's good for families too, but don't expect an overly large pool.
The location was good for things to do in downtown Kalamazoo. Parking is additional but has a connected parking structure which was nice. The cost was $20.00 per day but they give you as many re-entry passes as you like. If you just want to park (and not leave) and not use the hotel option it looks like it would have been $15.00 for the night.
It's a nice, clean, and modern hotel that's centrally located.
Staff was great, room was clean, comfortable and bed was so comfortable. I like that the shampoo, conditioner and body wash are in the pumps. This is such a saver in plastic bottle for the eco system. Plus cuts down on the counter clutter. Breakfast was very nice, hot food was hot and delicious, a variety of choices and great coffee. Hotel looks new and modern.
Hotel is back by itself, but not hard to find.
Breakfast was good.
What made the difference was the hotel staff. Staff was personable and went out of their way to ensure guest needs and questions were answered. They were genuine and across the board seemed happy to be there to help. Thank you!
Nothing. Didn’t stay got to hotel and couldn’t get booked in. Called booking.com customer service assured me would have problem fixed in 30 minutes. Never called me back. And when I called back 75 minutes later still couldn’t do anything to resolve issue. My days with booking.com are finished
Anyone who has seen or driven past this property knows that it is a historical landmark for Kalamazoo. I had breakfast here about 10 years ago and the customer service was outstanding. My impression prior to my stay was that it was a high class experience.
EVERYTHING! it was like traveling back in time! they keep the place in great condition! they also have a rooftop hot tub that made our entire trip worth it! it’s the highest point in kalamazoo so we got to see everything!
Renee, the staff member who checked me in, is a wonderful asset to the hotel.
She made me feel very welcome.
I come to Kalamazoo about once a month or so for business. I will stay at this hotel without question.
Eggs & sausage dry...couldn't eat.
Waffles were a bonus
Toilet wouldn't flush properly & ran all nite long
Very old hotel, shower stained along inside & invalid shower chair stained with rust as well
