Off season Mondsee looks like a huge house for elderly. Almost everything was closed, apart from a few restaurants in the middle of the city. Everything on the beach is closed from january to february.

Amazing location, beautiful nature, gorgeous lake and the mountains offered perfect walking tours. Local people were nice too :) The centre of the city is small and pretty, many pubs with great wine and food. The location as well as the nature were well taken care off and clean. Totally worth visiting: Observation tower Kulmspitz We will for sure come back to explore more.

We were before Christmas, and at this time it is definitely worth going to this city for half a day! The center is small, but very nice, there is a small Christmas market, mostly with food, a very beautiful Basilica, and of course, the lake itself deserves a walk to it. Mondsee is a pretty small town from which it is easy to explore the other lakes and towns in the Salzkammergut region. Highly recommend the Seecafe for its view right on the lake. They have the best church around the area, St Gilgen, St Wolfgang, Bad Ischl, etc. we were there last Sunday of 2019 and there were choir singing and the sound of the huge organ above the main entrance is just so perfect. Very good mass I have ever experienced, so quiet and solemn. The town itself is small, no restaurants and shops open on a Sunday.ElenaGermany

The split level apartment was great with the bedrooms upstairs and living, kitchen and dining downstairs with a balcony overlooking the lake. The apartment was very spacious. It was very quiet and relaxing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The apartment is good equipped and has everything you need for comfort stay. We have traveled by a rented car and the safety parking - underground garage - was big positive complement.
