Great place if you have a car. It is close to many points of interest on this sode of the island. The town itself is great but not too much to do in it. Augusta is a bit off the beaten track but well placed for touring to both Syracruse and to WW2 'Operation Husky' sites. The town has a good selection of shops but not too many restaurants. This latter issue is probably a good indicator that it is not a tourist haunt. It was also a good deal cheaper than almost all other more-famed cites and towns though finding overnight parking was as big a problem as everywhere else.ddavidUnited Kingdom

Beautiful wooden furniture, chandeliers, a real Sicilian home. In the garden with green grass, we had a large swimming pool (cleaned daily by the owner), a set of recreational deckchairs, garden furniture, barbecue, table tennis, table football. This is the most amazing house I have ever lived in. Completely fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms, living room. It is a house where you can live forever immediately. Then When we arrived in Augusta, they drove ahead of us to guide us in. The property is located by a small dock area. From the outside, it looked very unpromising and we thought "oh well, it's only for one night." But from the inside, it is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. We couldn't believe it. Giuseppe and Chiara clearly want people to have a lovely time.

Our car broke down and the owner gave us the hotel van for free to use during our holiday. Apart from that he also told one of his employees Mina to drive us around. Having visited by car I used it to travel in the area to the cities of Augusta, Syracuse, and Catania, but also farther. The resort after the maintenance will look awesome, with lots of trees, flowers, and grass. Most have shared pools to use and the accommodations are very nice.

The 2 cakes (one was even glutenfree!) and the bread she baked for us were delicous! The appartment is fully equipped with food (salt,oil,noodles,..) and household aids (washing powder,..), so we really felt comfortable. Pinas son and and his girlfriend were really helpful with restaurant and parking tipps. Very nice people!

You have everything you need. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom is a dream. I sat every morning at the little balcony to admire the view to the ocean. They even have a TV where you can connect your phone to to watch movies.

As well via street the bus to Sirazusy and Catania is going, then near a shop is "unofficial" bus stop. Flat is ok for max 4 person or family. Quite and comfy. For this price it is really cool option ! Owner is nice, and all they time answer any questions.
