the best breakfast we had on our entire 18 day trip in Italy. The host Laura was a gem. We enjoyed chatting with her about her property. Not a issue at all but the road to the hotel is a dirt road. well maintained but just an fyi.

Podere Albereto is located in a quiet area and has the most fantastic views. The accommodation is clean and has modern appliances and anything you need to cook with. There is a water tap that has the best drinking water so no need to buy bottled. The bed was comfortable and air con worked when you needed it although it was cool all the time inside. There is a pool you can use and you also have your own private area with a bbq/oven. You are 20 min from Buonconvento and you can dine at the restaurant 10 mins walk from the agrituismo if you don't want to cook. Cinzia and Giorgio are great hosts and given the opportunity, would love to stay again.

Very lovely little town with great shops and restaurants. There are a few good small hotels. We were walking the Via Francigena when we stayed here. There is also a train station in town with trains to Siena and Firenze very convenient.

Podere Cunina exceeded our expectations, so much that we readjusted the trip itinerary to enjoy an extra day at the place.
In a excellent location with an unforgettable sunset, it’s a peaceful place to rest and relax from a everyday routine. The apartment is fully equipped, very clean and charming.
The hospitality and cordiality of the owners Silvana, Giorgio and Marcello make the difference.
We really recommend the WineTour and Cooking Class with Marcello, he is extremely kind and attentive. We hope to come back soon.

Buonconvento is a small town centrally located to many of the towns in Tuscany. There are a few restaurants in town as well as a grocery store, which made it a convenient home base. There is also a train station in town which we used to go to Florence for the day.

The views and the decor were fantastic!
The views and the decor were fantastic! We were at Pieve Sprenna the night of the full moon and sat outside with wine, just soaking in the lovely country atmosphere! There's no more romantic a place anywhere!

Casa Vacanze Fornance was exceptional and an exceptional value. Centrally located in the heart of Tuscany. Perfect for reaching Montalcino, Montepulciano, Siena, Volterra , etc. Large apartment with everything we needed to cook. Our host not only met us but delivered two beautiful wines on two occaisions. The whole family was wonderful. They have a lovely pool, but it was a little cool when we were there. Buonconvento is a lovely little town. Highly recommended and a fantastic value in the heart of Tuscany.
Lovely villa with plenty of space and a private garden and pool all surrounded by beautiful Tuscan countryside. It was very well equipped and the owners were lovely to deal with. It’s set on an established walking / cycling trail off the main road. There’s some lovely local restaurants in the agriturismos nearby, the beautiful city of Siena is a short drive and local food markets in Buonconvento are excellent. The beautiful wine growing towns of montepulciano and montalciano are also pretty close by car.
It’s such a beautiful, charming farm. The view is incredible! Lucio and the other staff members made me feel very welcome during my stay! Upon arriving, Lucio offered me a glass of wine and some crispy fried grissini (?) with fried sage. Amazing wines, very peaceful surroundings and very cute pets running around :) it was truly an amazing experience. Ginevra and her mother accompanied me to the train station in Buonconvento, that was also very thoughtful!
Podere Salicotto is a very special place--the setting, the beautiful property, the generous and kind staff and owners--it feels like more than a destination; rather, Podere Salicotto is an experience. The breakfasts are delicious too! One of the highlights of our trip to Italy was the cooking class/lunch in our host's kitchen with Francesca and Patrick. After pandemic years, we are so grateful to have visited Italy and found Podere Salicotto.
My friend and I had a wonderful stay here in Buonconvento. The hosts made sure that we could store our luggage before we checked in, and we were given a tour of the apartment upon checkin. Very clean, well taken-care-of home. Everything we needed-including a clothes washer. Location is right smack in the middle of the older part of town. Hosts were very welcoming. I would definitely stay here again if I happened to be in the area!
This hotel, located in the countryside near the nice village of Buonconvento, is an excellent place to relax and have a good time. Maybe the best attraction from the hotel is the amazing view from the surroundings.
Silent and clean room with a confortable bed and a complete ensuite bathroom.
Good breakfast buffet with many options and all you need to start your day.
Friendly and helpfull staff.
If any friends of mine have intention of visiting Tuscany, I will definitely recommend Podere Salicotto. The pictures in booking.com still not enough to describe the beauty of this farmstay. Here you can find everything which's the most peaceful and wonderful in Tuscany. Thanks Silvia, Patrick and all great staff for giving us the best moment in Italy trip!
The room was large and had many modern conveniences we were not expecting in this small town. The receptionist was very helpful. This is connected to Hotel Ghibellino and that is where we checked in. The breakfast was in the hotel restaurant and was very generous. Would highly recommend this hotel. We were Pilgrims on the Via Francigena when we stayed here.
Located on the top of a hill in Buonconvento, we experienced a wonderful view. it was relaxing, beautiful and seemed to be in those places of the storybooks.
during our stay we could experience all the shadows of Tuscany from frog, rain, sun and rainbow.
we will carry on an amazing memory from there.
the owner and staff are really kind and helpful
Everything was brilliant. The serenity, harmony
The nature combined with perfectly working amenities.Beauty and aromas of the grounds. The owners work and live on property, Marchellos oil tasting, Gorgios and Sivanas taste and touch for designing their manicured property.
We absolutely loved it.Definitely a Gem in Tuscany.
Claudia is an exceptional host. Very kind and helpful.
Always reachable and proactive.
The apartment is lovely and spacious in a beautiful spot.
Buonconvento is a small city with a nice local vibe.
This place is perfect for exploring Val d’orcia.

The hotel is very good (very clean, well furnished and well maintained) and surrounded by a beautiful landscape. The staff is very helpful, professional and at the same time friendly. The breakfast is very good and products are of good quality. I really would like to go back and suggest it.
The rooms are very comfortable and have a country character. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and the food was excellent with beautiful views all around. The pool is great too in this peaceful setting just a few minutes from Buonconvento and 20 min from Montalcino.
First impression and warm welcome by the staff was great. The recommendation of a restaurant linked to the hotel in the town was also great.
Great location for Via Francigena. Simple room, I would have been very happy had my room been within the actual hotel.
Very nice owners, even provided a ride to the train station when departing Buonconvento! Very clean. Easy train ride to Siena, and one connection train ride to Florence. Will plan on staying there during my next trip to Tuscany.
the best breakfast we had on our entire 18 day trip in Italy. The host Laura was a gem. We enjoyed chatting with her about her property. Not a issue at all but the road to the hotel is a dirt road. well maintained but just an fyi.
The property is located in the old town close to restaurants. It has everything you need but is a bit soulless. Check in is at another hotel 5 minutes away and the evening receptionist was very helpful.
