This accommodation was just in the right place and time.
This accommodation was just in the right place and time. We enjoyed the surroundings and the nice restaurant we found in the town. The B&B we had was excellent and the trip from Dorgali was so beautiful that we had almost to stop at all the scenery stops.
A must take route from Dorgali south the Oriental road.

Dorgali seemed a charming town for walking and shopping.
Dorgali seemed a charming town for walking and shopping. We did not have enough time to adequately explore. We much enjoyed the Dmitiri pizzeria for dinner, friendly staff, good playlist, reasonable prices.

Dorgali is quite a small town, with limited places to eat. There is not much to do in Dorgali itself. So a car is essential. There are some good value pizzerias, some bars and a couple of high quality restaurants. We had a memorable meal at Corte Barisone, some excellent food at Merula Cafferia (but were suprised by thge prices which were nearly as high as London here) and we loved our beers, apertifs and burgers at the great value Gallo Nero bar. Dorgali is a good base for walking the Gorroppu Gorge and for visiting Cala Gonogne.

I went diving in Cala Gonone which is great because of the caves (but only allowed if you have the required diving certification). Cala Gonone is about 15 min from Dorgali by car. Me and my friend mostly went to Cala Gonone because it also has beautiful coasts and bays. Boat trip is recommended there!
Hiking is also said to be good in Dorgali and surrounding areas but we didn‘t do it.
We didn‘t spend much time in Dorgali so we can‘t really say a lot about it.
We were upgraded to a suite with large sunny terrace with superb mountain views. Very comfortable and spacious. The proprietor was delightful and very helpful in recommending places to visit. Plenty of space to park. Hotel in excellent location on the outskirts of town, only a short drive to beautiful deserted beaches and, in the other direction, to hills carpeted in wild flowers. Quite a lot of interesting things nearby (caves, gorge, neolithic sites).
We booked for 3 nights but ended up staying for 5.
Rich breakfast in little lovely dinning room. Best one I had on my one week budget Sardinia trip. Very big room and bathroom, but it wasn't modern as on the photos and balcony didn't have nice view (maybe other rooms are more modern with the view). No problem with parking on the street in front of the place. About 15 minutes drive to Cala Gonone and Cala Fuili (hike to Cala Luna), so it is a cheaper option to stay here than Cala Gonone. But still a bit to expensive for solo traveler.
Breakfast was good, a buffet with a nice variety of sweet and savory items (as a kind suggestion I'd say it would be nice to include some local Sardinian cookies or pastries). The hotel is conveniently located near Dorgali and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. We appreciated the locally handcrafted details (ceramics and tapestries) to be found in the rooms and restaurant. If this hotel had a pool it would be perfection :)
The apartment is located in a secluded area (with a view of the lake and the bridge over it), so there weren’t a lot of people. It is close to Dorgali that has supermarkets and restaurants. Lots of beautiful beaches around, the friendly owners gave us good tips where to go. Kitchen was very well equipped with cookware to cook for a family. Dishwasher and washing machine are great plus! Our kids also liked the cats in the garden.
The host was very communicative and easy to meet for the keys. The house is easy to reach and in a nice location with views to the valley/mountains. Very calm environment. I loved having the friendly dog Joanne around. The apartme t is spacious and well equipped, comfortable bed. 15min away from Cala Gonone, where we rented a boat to visit the beaches. It has wifi and good connectivity. Overall, very good stay!
the most amazing exprience in cala gonone. Mario with his lovely hoispitalilty gave us the very best time. he has the biggest heart in sardinia and we just fell in love withe the place. the food, the vibe, the place.
do yourself a favor and book a holiday.
mario makesa his own wine, dinner is served by his parents. it just more then words can tell. if i keep writing you wont have more surprices.
Everything! The location is beyond beautiful! The family is incredibly nice and welcoming. Their food is delicious, the rooms impeccably clean, the terrace is perfect for relaxing. We loved kayaking on the river and the dinner was huge! They serve coffee with goat milk from their cattle. A great experience! We drove about 30min to Cala Gonone and were away from all the fuss. Returning for sure!
We had a great stay: the room was spacious, excellent bathroom, nice private balcony for the two of us. Also the staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel overall is very thoughtfully decorated and beautiful.
Note: Even if there is no parking included, we always found a good spot nearby, where we didn’t have to pay anything: look for the white parking spaces!
Breakfast was excellent, they offered to cook eggs in addition to the buffet, brought cappuccino or coffee from the real coffee machine, not a machine with the button, offered also tea and water in a teapot. The hotel location is amazing and it really looks well taken care of. It’s like somebody is taking care of their home and invited you to stay with them!
The location is very closed to Cala Gonone so we would say is very good value for money if you want to visit Golfo Orosei.
It is remote location, so very quite, peaceful.
Nice garden in the shades of olive trees
Spotless clean
The bed is really comfortable
The kitchen space is coon area, there is a fridge, a stove, crockery you can use.
Perfect place for relaxing and mind peace.
It is located 15 minutes from dorgali and the beaches.
The owners were extremely nice and welcoming.
Rooms are Daly cleaned.
The food is a culinary orgasm.
Mind you that there is no wifi in the rooms.
Finally it's the ultimate place to relax and come down.
The owners are very friendly and helpful. The Breakfast was awesome! Not very diverse but tasty and huge!
Very clean and there is all you need at the kitchen. Spacious parking. I would highly recommend this property.
Dorgali is a very nice small city, there are good restaurants and shops nearby.
Paola was the sweetest host and made us feel very at home. We had food poisoning from a restaurant on our last day and she took great care of us. Definitely recommended for an affordable and pleasant stay around Cala Gonone. Grazie mille, Paola! Couldn't have asked for a better host! :)
The property is of easy access from the street once you climb some stairs. It is very well equipped and perfectly clean. The hosts are both friendly is easy to contact. We loved the Dorgali street fair and the closeness to Cala Gonone and the boat excursions.
The rooms were clean, very good breakfast, and the hosts were amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this accomodation for anyone visiting the Cala Gonone region.
The site and view were magnificent. It was a serene hotel with wonderful staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The rooms were quiet and well spaced out. Finally the food and service were superb. Great find!
This was our second visit in this hotel. And we came here because we really wanted to. In our opinion, one of the best places in Sardinia in terms of location and restaurants.
