We had a lovely room with typically large doors opening onto a well-sized patio with lounges overlooking the ocean. The room was clean and spacious. The bath and shower were a bit small but did not deter from our experience. The restaurant that was adjacent to the hotel was excellent. Sergio was a wonderful host.

Super far away from any near town or city. Not much to do.
Super far away from any near town or city. Not much to do. Beaches are not nice here but there is a harbour where you can get an expensive boat trip to Capri. No buses around and taxi is ridiculously expensive... however a beautiful little village if you like peace and quiet and don't want to leave your accommodation at all for the trip. The nearest beach was Puolo beach (10 minute drive) which had dirty water, lots of boats and rentable chairs but no regular sandy beach space and quite far off if you don't take a taxi all the way there.

Massa Lubrense is a beautiful village right out side Sorrento. The views are stunning and it feels very immersed into the community, rather than the touristy atmosphere in Sorrento. There are plenty of restaurants and little shops near by. Would recommend Scooters or a Rental car however, because the busses in this region are not as reliable, but no matter where you stay in Almafi, that would be the case.

Fantastic views, plenty of good restaurants, friendly...
Fantastic views, plenty of good restaurants, friendly locals, but we hadnt realised it was quite so hilly.. and getting used to the Italian style of driving takes a while.. particlularly on the narrow mountain/hill roads with their hairpin bends and steep climbs, enough without someone parked on your bumper trying to get past on a blind bend.. Sorrento was particularly hectic, even at 24:00, often without any clear right of way or give way signs...tbh a nightmare to drive through at that particlular time, look on youtube for driving video to Amalfi, Sorrento etc for proper preview of conditions
Beaches although nice, with clear water were mostly pebble, and if you go in the water, watch out for the (small) jellyfish.. I had only been in the water a few minutues, about to go swim and got a sting across my leg.. ok it wasnt a Portugese Man o War but it wasnt expected.. no real pain, just an unexpected and unwanted surprise.. All I can say is research well and make sure you are comfortable with driving conditions and pebble beaches.. also for the better beach areas you often have to pay!

There are many hills in the city's territory, therefore it is large. The city is silent and quiet. The distance to Sorrento is very short, and we found better to stay in Massa. What is not good - too many pieces of city roads are in bad condition and not illuminated at nights.
Excellent studio completely detached from other buildings. Everything (building, furniture, appliances) was brand new and in perfect condition. Nice outside area with stretchers by the trees. Close walking distance to several nice restaurants, small food stores, bakeries, ice cream parlour, etc. Short drive (10km/6mi) to Sorrento on one side of the peninsula and to Positano on the other side. Easy pick-up by tour busses/vans covering the region. Very friendly hosts, easily accessible and that make you feel at home.
It was clean and had everything we needed. Massa Lubrense was a small little town just 20 minutes from Sorrento. So easy to get around with public transport. The bus stop was just around the corner and departed every 15 minutes. Loved this little town as it was away from the chaos of the more popular cities and had everything we needed there. There were supermarkets restaurants and most importantly it was quiet and the price was great.
Very clean and well-furnished room, nice terrace
Beautiful view on the sea and Capri, Ischia.
Also the room is very stylish. The hosts are very welcoming and ready to help you.
The beach is only in 6 min down the road.
Tip: there is a short pedestrian path from the property to the center of Massa Lubrense, useful for those without a car!
Fantastic place for calm family vacation
Friendly owner, knows a lot of interesting about Italy, shares about culture, museums, interesting place to visit etc
The house is surrounded by lemon trees with a fresh smell. The house is hidden from the center of the city, its really quiet place, but just 3 mins from bus station.
The best thing about the hotel is the amazing view of Capri. But the other features of the hotel are nice too: staff at the reception and restaurant were very friendly and helpful, the rooms comfy and clean, the bar and rooftop pool were great. The breakfast was nice and the meals at lunch and dinner were very good.
This was our ‘splurge’ hotel for our vacation. The rooms were beautiful. The location is spectacular with gorgeous views of Capri and the vay of Naples. The food in the restaurant was some of the best we had during our trip. The concierge was very helpful helping book our ferry ride from Sorrento to Salerno.
I enjoyed the proximity to the city center and the fact that a driver was sent for me to get me at the Sorrento station. The owner helped me get from Florence to Massa Lubrense with detailed instructions and helped me along the way from purchasing the tickets to how to navigate which stations to go to.
Everything was great. Helpful staff, clean rooms, great view. Only thing I'd caution people to consider is that this hotel is about a 15 minute SITA/EAV bus ride from Sorrento proper. The busses took some figuring out and driving might have made things easier.
Amazing villa - spacious, gorgeous view, fun pool, clean, well designed, clean, comfortable, every amenity we needed.
Private yet close to restaurants and shops. So convenient. Wonderful, wonderful place. We will definitely return if we come back to the area.
this hotel has everything you need! it also may seem like a decent distance to Sorrento however the bus stop is right outside the hotel and runs regularly to Sorrento via Massa. would definitely stay here again. the host is also a wealth of knowledge.
The location was absolutely perfect - tucked in a small city between the larger tourist towns on the Amalfi coast. Mario was a great host and was very responsive during the check-in process and helping us book excursions from Massa Lubrense by boat.
Antonella was available anytime we needed something. She responded very quickly through What's App.
Location is perfect at the heart of a smaller town of Massa Lubrense, overlooking Capri, and only a short bus ride into Sorrento.
The hotel was far from Sorrento and in an Italian village.
The manager and staff were amazing and the facility was situated in an isolated but beautiful spot. Ideal for those who do not want to see anyone on their vacation.
Very charming village in a great location for visiting the Amalfi coast. The property was clean and close to restaurants, the beach, and trails for hiking. It was the perfect place to stay.
It’s very beautiful and peaceful. The meals were skillfully prepared, fresh, and delicious. It was the perfect place to finish our two-week trip to Italy.
it is an ideal place for holidays in the Italy. The sea, very tasty food are very close to home.Giuseppe is a very welcoming host . We were very pleased.
