The town closes on a Tuesday and some shops stay also close until their is more people in the town... Weird. Whiskey tasting can only happen when there is a big group of people, I completely missed out on that one, even at The Highlander Hotel I was staying, I was really looking forward to do the Whiskey tasting. Sorry 😞 , make sure you are a big group for that one!!

    Fantastic location.

Fantastic location. Make sure you bring Doom spray as flies are continuous. Fellow guests that did not stay in the superior villas were complaining of sloppy housekeeping and really poor building maintenance. The restaurant next to reception has really poor attention to service and many guests complain of inattentive staff and poor quality food.

Dullstroom is a quaint little town, it is the ideal spot to rest and rejuvenate. there are plenty of small little shops and plenty pubs and restaurants. If you love whiskey there is a perfect whiskey tasting venu (Wild about whiskey). The same with gin (Dullstroom Gin). There is an abundance of fly fishing dams and plenty horse riding venues. There is plenty to keep you busy for a couple of days.

The place is beutiful, the views are amazing.

The place is beutiful, the views are amazing. The staff is friendly however, the house did not have free wifi, inverter as back up for stage 6 load shedding. They could at least give complimentary wood for in case the power goes off. But the place is amazing and cold, i would go back anytime,

We had most of our meals at the Baker Boys.

We had most of our meals at the Baker Boys. They were by far the best after the coachman. We enjoyed the Whisky and Gin tasting. We also went to the Bird rehabilitation center; this is definitely a must. Such beautiful birds and a very informative presentation and demonstration

What a GEM!!!! The house was perfect, everything you needed was there, from the quality linen, to the fireplace, heaters, warm blankets, everything was top notch! The kitchen was nice and big and forms part of the lounge area which was perfect since those cooking was still part of the conversations in the lounge are. The host was super attentive and friendly. Rueby's guesthouse is definitely my first choice when visiting Dullstroom

Location was good for us as we are happy to walk so could easily walk down to shops /restaurants. Views for hotel spectacular. There was major interior work going on in the foyer one our first day and we were given breakfast free. WE enjoyed two fabulous dinners in the gorgeous dining room...food was amazing and both the chef and owner spoiled us! All the staff were so helpful aand couldnt do enough to make our stay so memorable.
