Nice and clean small city, just 1 hour driving from Monaco.
Nice and clean small city, just 1 hour driving from Monaco. On a high street can find a few restaurants and a couple of local shops. The beaches are pebbles and need to grab a lounge chair or foam mat. Nice place to stay with the kids (not too young as the sea is quite deep).

Unfortunately Ospedaletti is not what it used to be and it has become very commercial and as soon as the tourists arrived the parking fees go up the restaurant prices go up and it becomes extremely dirty and the rats literally come out ☹️. It used to be a nice little town but it is become very commercialized and everyone's out to get everything from the tourist and to give them very little in return it's very unkept and is only cleaned when their customers arrive, you can't sleep at night from the people at the beach , the noise echos through the whole of the town that is impossible to rest in the evening. The local functions are overly priced eg a punet of anchovies, a small plastic cup of wine and a few chips was charged at £20 per head. There are no good hotels with the exception of the hotel Firenze, the Hotel Petit Royal is a dive and has had its heyday ,(see photos), it's an art Deco building but the owners, the local Town Hall, has let the property fall into disrepair, it's in a filthy location and very dated, the hotel room floors are cracked and the wood parquet floors have holes in them. The showers are absolutely filthy and you couldn't get in them and if you bend down you hit your head on the basin. It is definitely not a 3 star hotel and the prices they charge for the room is disgustingly high.
There are a number of good restaurants to eat in Ospedaletti they are: the Golfo di Napoli, Gaetano and Rosie the Hotel Firenze. You can just cover the whole of the town by foot you don't need to have a car but you do need one if you want to visit the nearby towns of San Remo which has a very good Saturday market and Bordighera.

Quiet but a buzz in the air as the town prepares for the summer. Many lovely individual restaurants. Bike road along the coast for many miles. Close to the hills of Liguria but alongside the sea so very pretty wherever you look.
Nice, cozzy and bright fully equipped apartment in the beginning of Ospedaletti’s promenade which is typically very silent. Takes 1 minute to reach either free or paid beach (the one with sand) and 3-5 minutes to all main restaurants. It is close to 3 parking spots so no problems where to park a car. Store with parking tickets is also 1 minute walk.
Valentina, the hostess, was very nice, she sent very detailed descriptions about all the main places and needs. Great for family of 3-4 peoplе.
Everything was amazing. It’s like being transported back one hundred years, or spending time in an Agatha Christie novel. The hotel is a little dated but that’s where the charm is. The staff are all friendly and helpful. There is parking at the front and a complementary, continental breakfast which is fabulous. The views from the rooms are spectacular. I wouldn’t change a thing.
We were upgraded to a larger room. Kitchen had all things necessary for short stay (there was only stove top express coffee maker). The view from our terrace was nice and the manager was kind enough to receive our shipments ahead of time. Hotel is easy access to beach promenade and Via Verde bike path which goes through long, well lit tunnels and beaches on Italian coast.
The view from the room was amazing indeed, right above the beach, with fresh sea breeze entering. The location of the hotel is excellent, although a bit hard to find, as the indication on Google GPS is not accurate. The gentleman serving at the breakfast buffet was very friendly, though the breakfast as such was rather poor.
We had a wonderful stay, Emanuele was extremely kind, helpful and very interesting to talk to!
The apartment itself was huge and well equipped, with a fabulous view of the sea from the balcony.
Would definitely return, great accomodation in a beautiful place, Ospedaletti is gorgeous.
It is an old sweet Italian hotel. We had an amazing room having a big balcony with a great sea view. The location is very convenient, everywhere like beaches, restaurants, train stations are in 5 min walking distance. Strongly recommended!
1) Sea view
2) Beach (pebble one is more natural - I like it more)
3) Underwater (just amazing)
4) Good restaurants within 10-20 mins walking distance
5) Hotel staffs are warm and very friendly
The staff was freindly, but in all the hotel is bejond critik. I had read the commenrs before and did not believe then, but the hotel is really bad. The only good thing about it is it's location.
