We didn't want to stay in Bari, so drove the short distance to this amazing white-washed town with great sunset views over the sea. If I had come at a different time of year, I would have definitely gone to the small, but clean beach. Food and drink were inexpensive (5 euro spritz, 9 euro pizza). We ate at the wrong restaurant - should have listened to our host. We went to Sagitarius restorante which is huge and takes tourist buses, but was close to our accomodation. if you order mussels, make sure to say, "in the bowl" bc i got mussels stuffed with breadcrumbs - not what I was expecting.

Its a lovely area for a respite.
Its a lovely area for a respite. Its also a good base for nearby areas like Monopoli and Ostuni. Everywhere is walkable and beautiful visitas of the ocean. I was there in Winter so a 2 night stay was fine. In summer you might stay longer to utilise neighbouring beaches.

Lovely oceanfront city.
Lovely oceanfront city. The oceanfront is made up mostly of cliffs, some with caves, and an occasional beach. There is a nice beachwalk broken by occasional locations where multistory buildings are positioned right up to the edge. Easy walking. Everything is clean and near. My wife and I are seniors, but never saw anything that caused us to be concerned about safety.
Nearby restaurants we tried were very good.

I was a little disappointed with Polignano a Mare.
I was a little disappointed with Polignano a Mare. I found that there's not much to see or do there. Then again, I'm not much of a beach person. I think this is more of a beach destination if that's your thing. I ended up going to nearby Monopoli each day, which is only a five minute train ride away. I much preferred Monopoli - it felt like more of a city with more to see and more going on. Also, the seaside areas of Monopoli are wonderful, as there are long stretches of walking and biking paths right at the level of the sea.

Beautiful property on the Sea.
Beautiful property on the Sea. Very clean, comfortable bed, spacious room, good quality sheets and towels.
Breakfast had a nice variety of choices.
The property had bikes we could use...they were ridable, but could have been serviced. But for what we used them for, to go beach combing down the street they worked fine.
The property is not walking distance to the main town but tuktuks are available for 10 euros each way.
I would definitely recommend this property.

If you’re trying to decide where to stay in Polignano, then you need look no further. The location is in the epicentre of all the old town has to offer, with restaurants and bars on the doorstep, and the entrance to the beach is 20 steps away. The rooms are large, air conditioned and so tastefully decorated in gorgeous muted shades that make the most of the beautiful old building. The service before and during our stay was consistently friendly, warm and helpful. I can’t recommend Antica Mondo highly enough. 10/10 all day long.
The location was perfect, right in the heart of Polignano a Mare. The host Andrea was outstanding, he insisted on carrying our luggage up to the room himself (we don’t travel light!). He kindly showed us around the area and made some excellent recommendations. He was always on hand to answer any questions and kindly made a reservation for us at a beautiful beach club in Monopoly. We highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the center of Polignano.
Hotel is at wonderfull place if you travel by car. Wonderfull view. Very silent area. Max 2 km to village. Also possible to walk.
Host is very helpfull young lady and speaks perfect English. Give us suggestions where to go eat, what to see. Even helped us to book another hotel for next night. As those people did not understood English well. Breakfast Italian and good enough for Italy. All the Best for this hotel! I would come back.
Beautifully recently renovated Masseria located in the middle of vineyards with an amazing view on the sea . It is a small ‘ boutique’ hotel with 22 rooms which it is never crowded at breakfast / dinner and at the pool .
Probably the best part is the staff , they are very friendly , competent and proactive . The local food and wine are great . I was surprised by especially the red wine and the Brut d’Arapri .
This B&B was amazing! The rooms were beautiful and authentic and the views were insane! The location was also perfect. It was a 10 min walk from the train station and it’s located in the historic center that is a pedestrian center. You can walk to everything: restaurants, shops, beach. The owner was so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!
The homemade breakfast was amazing. It truly was our best breakfast we had in our 3 weeks in Italy, and we traveled through multiple cities. The family who runs the hotel is fantastic and so kind. Also, the view? You can’t beat it. The sea view room and the rooftop breakfast were the best parts of this, besides the amazing location to the beach!
Very clean apartment & very good location! IIiara & Owner Lorenzo were the nicest host we met in this Italy trip! Always went to extra miles to satisfy our requests ! Breakfast is much more than anywhere else , and the fresh cherries & apricots from Lorenzo’s garden! Great restaurants recommendations! Thank you for your hospitality!
Loved the location, it was very close and walkable to the beach and main restaurants as well as very close to the train station. Theres no kitchen if thats what you need but there is a fridge. Also a large wardrobe, great shower and very clean facilities. Air con was great and the room was pretty spacious for two people.
beautiful room! quiet nights- great spot for walking into lovely Polignano A mare and beaches. llaria and Lorenzo were wonderful hosts. rides to and from the train station. big beautiful breakfasts every morning. Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect! Thank you llaria and Lorenzo for your hospitality ❤️
Good location in the old city.
Close to the main street and 10 min walk to the beach.
Clean and comfortable for two people but there is a queen bed and a bunk bed in one room.
10 min walk from the train station.
Lots of towns to visit and a beautiful shoreline.
Great location, downtown and beach Lama Monachile in a 10-min walk distance. Free parking in front of the apartment. 2-min walk to the grocery store and several good restaurants nearby. Well equipped apartment, Donato is a really good host.
Everything was perfect. A modern designed home with a very beautiful terrace. Located in the old city, everything was near, restaurants, bars and aldo the beach. The host was very friendly and very willing of any request. Highly recommend!
Lovely accommodation and liked the area just outside of the more crowded Town of Polignano a Mare 5 minutes away by car. 4 minutes walk to lovely cafe and 3 great restaurants on the sea, at San Vito.
Lovely property! Absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was amazing and the table setting transported us to a gracious time of elegance, even on the beach. Staff was great. Location was wonderful.
The hotel is in a good location in the town - close to restaurants and the beach. The rooftop is lovely and the breakfast was very good. The room was modern and clean with nice, fresh decor.
Aquamarea was a charming boutique hotel, offering beautiful sea views and perfect sunset and beach vistas. wet comfy bed and pillows. great balcony with sea views.
Everything was wonderful. Amazing host and hospitality. Beautiful apartment with everything you need. Best place I’ve stayed in Italy over a few years.
