Plenty of bush lodges in tur surrouding area. It has many options and you can choose to stay at what suits your budget. Close to the Kruger Phalaborwa gate. Just make sure to have a bigger car such as 4x4 for the gravel roads.

It is a typical mining town with adequate infrastructure.
It is a typical mining town with adequate infrastructure. Some roads are in poor condition. The town however has beautiful winter climate and is right next to the Kruger National Park. Phalaborwa is a good and affordable alternative if accommodation in the Kruger Park is a challenge.
Good shops and restaurants in down town.

Phalaborwa is a mining town, and has deteriorated somewhat in last 15 years, but has a good clean mall and popular shops like Woolworths. Game can be spotted all around and the entrance 1km from town to Kruger Park further enhances its attractiveness. A good hotel and eatery -Bush Terrace- can be found right at the gate.

Phalaborwa itself has little to offer and is not a vibrant or well maintained town. Its only real advantage is fast access to Kruger. Hoedspruit is a more interesting and prettier town with interesting coffee and other shops to visit when taking a break from game viewing in Kruger. Orpen gate is not too far from Hoedspruit.
The Chalets were exceptional! Exceeded my expectations. The Kitchenette was fully equipped. Even back up lights that were handy for load shedding! Gardens well looked after and clean. We were able to come and go as we pleased. It is close to Phalaborwa Gate.
Secret - The shower head was amazing - made us buy one when we got home!
A Traveller’s Palm is a very well appointed guest house, having coffee, tea, microwave, kettle, fridge, toaster, dishes.. everything you need. The place was immaculately clean and the ensuite bathroom large. The host was very welcoming and friendly.
Very nice place, close to the Phalaborwa gate. The host Dave makes sure you have everything you need and is more than happy to share some tips and tricks when going to Kruger, which was exactly what we needed.
Thank you again! We had a great time!
. The place is very peaceful and quiet. We really enjoyed the bush experience. It's about 15 mins away from the Phalaborwa Kruger gate.We had an elephant visit our water hole which was amazing in our backyard. We will visit again.
Location was excellent! Didn't take the breakfast option! Units were not adequately equipped for self catering and the cleaning service was terrible! The reception staff were very helpful and accommodating though!
Best guesthouse in South Africa. I wish I could clone and place you in every town I have to stay over for my business travels.
Thank you so much. You always make me look forward to trip to Phalaborwa.
Clean and modern
Stunning restaurant - great drinks, food and service and ambiance
Lovely pool area and grass
I’m high maintenance and I loved this hotel and only 5 minutes to the gate at Kruger
Excellent, Issabella and her team are the most accommodating hosts i have ever come across at Hotel or Guest house i have stayed at. the went out of their way in understanding my situation.
We've been to Masorini Bush Lodge before and loved the location - close to town, but in the bush. Its a convenient stop on the way to the Kruger National Park.
