Beautiful building, lovely garden. Big thumbs up!!
Perfect place to explore Provence, it's right in the middle.
Perfect place to explore Provence, it's right in the middle. In the town you will find the basics: supermarket, some restaurants, others. The old towncenter is nice, and late afternoon (not on marketday) we found good parking facilities.
Tip: google maps doesn't know that some streets in the old town are closed and it navigates inside impossible places. It's better to park next to the river and walk 3 minutes to the center.

The town of Apt serves as a great base for exploring Provence. We planned a long stay to really cover the area and the smaller towns we wanted to visit was an easy drive from here. There is free public parking in the main town center although overall I would consider Apt a quieter town with little to do at night. We usually ate at another village or had dinner in the flat. There were many shops around. Summer 2022 was exceptionally hot so returning midday to the flat to cool off then venture out again in the early evening worked well. Not recommended though without a car but with a car, the many smaller roads linking the villages made for some spectacular lavender photos (the best fields were random drive by lucky moments!)

Even if the area seems less wealthy than other areas in the Vaucluse or Luberon, it breaths authenticity, a real city that is lively the whole year round; real efforts are made to 'upgrade' the city and attract more holiday makers and travelers; 5 minutes driving or cycling in any direction and and most astonishing scenery is revealed to you.
Ideal as a hub for discovering the Luberon, by car or bicycle.

Apt felt like an authentic small French town.
Apt felt like an authentic small French town. It did not feel overly touristic. We had great meals everywhere we ate. I even had to see a doctor at the last minute. I was able to get a recommendation, see a doctor, get a prescription, and have it filled all in less than 1 hour. The total cost was
$35 dollars. Amazing!

Apt has a lovely old town with interesting shops and restaurants. We have always driven through Apt and had always dismissed it. This time we stayed in town and were very pleasantly surprised. Good base for touring.
We got a big apartment on the ground level, with the largest shower i have ever seen, and jazz music at the push of a button.. A big bedroom and a small, well equiped kitchen.
10 meters from the pool and breakfast hall. Lots of free parking right outside the door. The center of Apt was not very exiting, but it was a enormous, fantastic market, that filled half of the old town on saturday.
Christel made our short stay in Apt quite lovely. She welcomed us warmly into her space. The breakfast is light, accommodating, intimate, and a lovely start to a day of adventure. The rooms are so spacious, clean, and cute. And the location can’t get much better. Lots of free public parking nearby, and just a short walk to anything in Apt.
This is an old Provance estate, that the owners put a lot of effort to renovate. The whole estate is very homey like, with animals, garden, and most important pool. The room was very clean and big for us three. We loved the place and the owners are very friendly. We would definitly like to come back one day. Also location is super.
Catherine was exceptionally helpful in the planning of our trip through this incredibly beautiful part of France . It's a perfect base for exploring the region. The apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated, well appointed, everything you could possibly need. Catherine made us feel like family!
I found the staff very helpful and friendly here. The hotel and rooms were clean and fresh, some "budget" hotels can be very lacking in these areas; however, that is not the case at the First Inn in Apt. For the price charged it is recommended, the staff are an asset to the hotel.
The rooms were bright, clean and attractive and the large double bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was particularly beautiful with a deep marble basin, limestone tiled floor and rainforest shower. We had a warm welcome from the patron who also cooked us an excellent dinner.
This place doesn’t exist. We turned up at check in time, (with a young baby) rang the number provided and they said they don’t own it anymore and can’t give us a refund. Had to drive to another hotel. Tried to contact booking.com but they haven’t responded
Well-equipped kitchen in our room, lovely view of the church and old city square, free parking off-site, good French breakfast. Liked having the the comfy chairs and table in the bedroom area, plus the small kitchen table in our kitchen.
The hotel is perfectly located just across the river from the centre ville. The manager was very welcoming and kind. Breakfast was great (the breakfast room is quite charming). The room was perfect for my stay - no complaints.
The couple who welcomed us could not have been nicer. The swimming pool was very nice and
big. The room and breakfast selection were fantastic. Our stay exceeded our expectations.
The two apartments we booked on the second floor (Pagnol and Cézanne) were splendid. The house is so charming and the family very welcoming. I highly recommend this place.
